I can't get over how weird it is that the mom's voice sounds like it should be the daughter. She sounds 20-something. And the person voicing the daughter sounds like an older woman.

I’ve finished season 1 and I don’t know why people think this is a good podcast. Yes; it’s well produced and high quality but the story feels like just random bizarre activities with no explanation. Am I supposed to hold out a couple more seasons hoping that any of this will make sense?

I want to like this, so I'm going to finish all the episodes to give it a fair shake... but thus far, the dialogue and delivery gets so clunky and forced. I attribute it mostly to the random and undue tension between characters. Out of nowhere people will snap at each other (typically Lily and her mom) in a way that feels disproportionate to the build up. They seem like attempts at exposition or foreshadowing, but that mixed with the frequent nagging and sarcasm between characters just makes them all seem like moody teenagers. The lack of development on/involvement with the over-arching mystery makes this difficult to stick to. The concept is good and a majority female cast with diverse gender/sexuality representations is great. I want this to work, that's why I haven't given up... it just doesn't really so far.

I'm guessing Lily is being developed as completely unlikable so that we'll root for the ghosts who invariably will terrorize her?
