My laptop had spyware which freaked me out. I quit a job that I should have left awhile ago, but you know, "abandonment issues". I have a man in my life who texts me every single time I am about to experience a breakup. It's a sign. Which led me to believe breaking up with Teja was the right decision and not actually rooted in trauma. My therapist asks me to take a step-back and reflect on my break-up with Ithan which led to a wild weekend in Chicago and purchasing a break-up puppy. I was a little hesitant to tell my therapist about my mushroom trips I mean, I talked to my dog, a purple circle of intelligence, and my dead grandma, but he was open to the discussion, so I did. We also discuss how I went from being strictly against marijuana to relying on it. My therapist tells me about a novel, Untethered Soul by Michael Singer and how it relates to my mushroom trip experience. We dig a little into my childhood adderall addiction that followed me into adulthood. I reflect on a long-time partner coming out to me after I had a dream about him hooking up with his best friend. At the time, we discussed a mixed-orientation relationship, and living together for financial purposes. I explain how my best friend found him on grinder. And how obsessed with him my mom was. I put my instagram on private and then saw that I had a hometown follower, a horror, so I told my therapist. Somehow that leads to me exposing my sugaring experiences. How it started, who knew I was doing it, and the different relationships I had with some of the fathers. My therapist let me know that he thinks emotion is energy in motion. I told him how I try to see emotion as colour, and he let me know we can take it further. So now, I'm learning how to identify emotions using Plutchik's model, and it turns out my lack of emotional regulation could be related to a lack of development, due to childhood trauma. I start by mentioning to my therapist that I have requested (but have not yet received) my foster care file, and that phone calls freak me out. I also let him know that I broke into my parents unlocked safe once. I raise my concerns with the foster care process, and issues I have with science, and adoption. I had to find out what the plan for this therapy thing was, I mean, I live by spreadsheets so it's only natural. Also in this session, I tell my therapist about the time my friend caught me in a weird act, I vent about how my ex boyfriend was always late, and how crying became part of my skin care routine. My therapist told me that this was because I need to feel safe, have control, and attempt to avoid chaos based on , you guessed it, my childhood.
