Description

Up and Vanished is an investigative true crime podcast hosted by Atlanta filmmaker Payne Lindsey. In Season 1, Payne tackles his first cold case story, the unsolved disappearance of Georgia high school teacher and former pageant queen, Tara Grinstead. The 11-year-old case remains the largest case file in Georgia history and is still unfolding. Season 2 focuses on the disappearance of young mother Kristal Reisinger from a remote mountain town in Colorado. Up and Vanished aims to tell compelling, true stories and give these cases the exposure they deserve.

if anyone has spoken to an active drug addict, yes, it's this frustrating when they're confronted on bad behavior. Lots of confusion, spider-webbing, gaslighting. The Hoover administration! 😂

Smokey McMethfuck really helped the investigation. Glad we got to hear his insights.

catfish is so freaking high in this call. Meth is a powerful drug. I know a tweaker when I hear one. I work with addicts for a living. He also said multiple incriminating statements. The one about the quaaludes sounded like he was remembering something from the past but tried to play it off as a joke.

Y'all never been young and bored in a small town with nothing to do, and it shows. All this, "Why were these people together?" Come on, now. I don't know exactly what happened to these people, but I can understand exactly how the whole thing started.

This community is as effed up as Georgia but their ways of being effed up and evasive are different and probably unlearnabl. Catfish is a master of deception, obfuscation and inveigling. His conversation is at least multifaceted and that is way different than the people in Georgia. A cultural difference for sure.

I don't want to hear about how "intelligent" she was, if with all the good people and good influences around she repeatedly chose these guys. I don't mean to sound blamey but the divining lady is right if only about one thing. Those kinds of men drain energy and ruin lives.

"you have to move on"? F%^& that. It's okay to not get over an unsolved murder of someone you care about.

I do not for one minute think she ran off voluntarily, for this amount of time. She would have missed her child and wanted to keep touch with her child. At least, I do not think she knew she was going to disappear.
