Urban Involvement & Latreia

Urban Involvement, a ministry of service to Seattle, has established partnerships with 12 organizations in and around the city. Partnering with dedicated community leaders, SPU student volunteers provide needed services while expanding their understanding of the city, ministry, and God’s work in the world. Latreia, a Greek name meaning worship through service, provides opportunities for students to connect faith, action, and community-building through one-time service experiences. Through Latreia service projects, students discover their interests, explore potential service-related career fields, strengthen relationships with their service partners, and witness needs, opportunities, transformation, and growth in the Seattle area.
