Welcome back to another episode of VHQuest! This month we welcome back Andrew Peru, a previous guest from season 2 and a good friend of the pod. Besides our normal chatter about what we've found since the last episode (which trust us, we've got some stories) we decided to have a little fun this month with some movie games! Blockbuster, once the nation's biggest video rental chain, has become an endangered species. A single brick and mortar store still exists in the town of Bend, Oregon. A new documentary on Netflix, "The Last Blockbuster", chronicles the life and times of the management and nostalgia of the store. We at VHQuest have a special episode for all of you, discussing the documentary and our own memories of Blockbuster and local video stores.  We highly recommend this documentary. VHQuest is back! This month we welcome back a seasoned quester, Rob Joynes, and the creator of the VHQuest logo, Chris Hulsizer. Dead or Alive, VHQuest is back for the first episode of 2021! We’re starting off the new year with a stellar interview with local Spokane collector Chris Rosales. Chris shares his origins, the tapes that have stuck with him since childhood, and his strategy to pass down his passion to his two kids. Also, we have a special treat for you listeners. This month we have a special VHQuest hosts episode! We're also stoked to announce a new member of the crew! Nick Dudley from VHSLegacy is joining the VHQuest team and we are excited for what Nick's going to bring to the table.  The three of us chat via Zoom about the quest during quarantine, what we are doing to stay sane, and VHS in the time of corona. VHQuest hits Season 2! We are stoked for what the new year has in store for us.  This month, Mike and Ben share their summer finds and catch up after the long break. We dive into some odd tapes and how to find them, and bring it back to the christian tapes at your grandparents house. For some of us, a new season means finding a new place to live, and we all have felt the pain of moving all those boxes from under your bed. We recap on some of the latest VHS news, including an oddly costumed human putting odd objects on suburban doorsteps. Pop in that second tape because Season 2 starts now.

It's our season finale! And we wrap up our summer with great tapes and a great guest. We chat with local Washingtonian Jeff Glinski, lamenting the downfall of video stores and reminiscing on our first R rated sleep-over movies. What was yours? Jeff then turns the tables on us, lobbing a grilling question our way. As August hits, and our season ends, we hope that all of you keep questing, and stay tuned for next fall!
