Episode 17. We talk with Dr. Ray Wang, the head of business development for Asia at Sasol Co. Ltd. Dr. Wang graduated with a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Virginia Tech. He has worked in both National Energy Technology Laboratory and multinational corporations, and has a wide range of research interests from physical chemistry to industrial manufacturing, especially in chemical and energy technologies. In this episode, he talks about his involvement in global engineering, intercultural experiences at Virginia Tech, and his work about developing new technologies to help with the climate change issues. Episode 18. We talk with Dr. Dan Sable, the CEO of VPT, Incorporated. VPT, Inc. is a global leader in power conversion solutions for use in avionics, military, and space applications. VPT power converters can be found on GPS satellites, the Boeing 787 aircraft, unmanned drone aircraft, and international space missions to Mars, Venus, and beyond, and the company is currently doing business in 35 countries and has a large manufacturing facility in Taiwan. Dr. Sable earned his Masters and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and is a member of the International Alumni Board in the College of Engineering and, since 2012, teaches as an Adjunct Professor of Practice in the College. Episode 16. We talk with Commander Kelley Jones at the United States Navy. Kelley is a decorated Veteran and a graduate of the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets. She holds a BS in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA from George Mason University.
