God desires to respond when we pray desperate soul-stirring prayers. Do not underestimate the power of desperation to do good for your soul. The moment you realize God had greater plans for you that don't involve complaining or sad Pinterest quotes. The only way you can fail if you stop praying, 100 percent of the prayers I don't pray won't get answered.
It is a struggle to pray. Often one of our greatest cries is, "God why can't it be perfect." We are at times at the crossroad of getting bitter or getting better. Before we expereince at transition we need to offer a prayer of thanksgiving. Some of the best prayers are FLAWSOME PRAYERS embracing our flaws and realizing that God is still awesome.
The bible is not just a book of disconnected stories and people, but it is a narrtive that points to Jesus. Also hear he story behind the tattoo, that God is the author and finisher of our faith and we have a part to play. You are unique. You are important. You have a story worth living.
The bible is not a roadmap for life. God not only cares about your destination but also your journey. A GPS is about destination God is about identification. God wants to bring you You not just Happiness. Happiness is a moment, Joy is a mindset. You'll never reach the next level if everything comes back to you. There is a reason the Bible ends not with results but a Revelation.

The problem of seeing the bible as a rule book is that it turns God into a Cop out to get you and then makes you want to escape. If you limit the bible only to information you'll never experience transformation. May we embrace God not want to escape from God.
