The Festive show begins with Ilka reviewing the successful Advent event held

Liz reveals why she started in art, her style and how she connected with Art & Horse Racing Gallery. Two stunning pieces of her art now reside and are available at Saint Wendred's.

on December 4th where she was a narrowly beaten 5th. In addition, Ilka

One of Laura’s paintings At The Going Down Of The Sun currently on display at Saint Wendred’s is part of a charity auction to raise money for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a charity dedicated to supporting bereaved military children and young people. To open the show Ilka provides an update on her recent Racehorse in Art Exhibition which was held at the stables during early July and featured a demonstration by contemporary-wildlife artist Emma Greenwood.
Meanwhile, co-host Stephen Wallis interviews James Armstrong, the Clerk of the Course at Cartmel Racecourse, who talks about his own art and the work involved In his day job. James is a watercolour, pen and ink, and pencil artist who specialises in wildlife and horses. James recently purchased Milan Ivanic’s painting of Cartmel Racecourse which had been on display at Ilka’s Art & Horse Racing fineart gallery.
On the racing front Summerleaze a new National Hunt horse has joined the yard, Grovely Belle made an impressive debut at Kempton on 14 August and Kingwell is back from his summer holidays. The stable’s new filly has now got a name SophiaDuleepSingh and Ilka reveals the interesting, but ultimately sad story connected to the family name.

The Vantage Point Racing Club podcast has reached its quarter century!
Ilka Gansera-Lévêque is joined by co-host Stephen Wallis, no Trevor this week, to discuss all the latest news from Saint Wendred's.
It’s a busy time at the home of racing with the Tattersalls July sale and the prestigious July meeting culminating with the July Cup on Saturday 13.
It’s also a busy week at Ilka’s Saint Wendred’s stable with the Art & Horse Racing exhibition “The Racehorse in Art Exhibition" being held between 7th and 14th 10am – 6pm. The Bug, the July Cup winner of 1946, will be there in the form of a fabulous painting by Raoul Millais.
Co-host Stephen interviews Emma Greenwood a contemporary-wildlife artist that works in coloured pencil, who will be doing a demonstration at Saint Wendred’s on Thursday 11 July between 11am-2pm for visitors who attend the The Racehorse in Art Exhibition. Emma’s work "The Clash of the Antlers" was a finalist at David Sheperd Wildlife Foundation "Wildlife Artist of the year 2024."
Finally, Ilka provides an update on the new Vantage Point Racing Club filly, who has recently joined the team.
