I have a thought...walk with me...
What can I say? It has been a while! And a lot has changed.
The biggest thing being moving back to Kenya and changing my faith. After enduring the dark soul of the night, I'm ready to share some new things.
Hey...thanks for being here. Find me on Instagram as @itsveronicaveronica
They say love is a verb, but what happens when there is no feeling attached to it? Experiences where we have felt denied of love can sometimes become undercurrents in how we form relationships.
Yet the ability to feel love is probably what makes life worth living in the first place! Today I'm venting about what my journey has taught me and how we can get closer to that feeling as we master the verb.
Hi; This is Veronica Mmari and welcome to my podcast!
Some people have a fear of the dark but when it comes to our personal lives, I think most of us can admit that we're really afraid of the light. It's painful and difficult to be exposed, especially if you don't have proper support. My good friends Mercy and Bethel join me to explore this topic as well as death to the ego. Join the conversation :)

Hi!
On this episode I talk about accepting defeat; why it is so difficult, yet so important! How can it benefit our relationships and how does ego show up to sabotage our connections? Let's talk about it!
Hey all! On this episode I invite my friend, Sarah Giramia, to discuss psychological safety, justice and random things in between.
If you would like to share your thoughts you can find me on instagram @callhermmari
I hope you find the healing and freedom that truth brings :)
This piece is inspired by Jonathan McReynold's song "God is good." I use the metaphor of excitedly opening a package, only to find out that it's nothing like what you ordered. This is an expression of human disappointment and growing in understanding that 'good' doesn't always look good. But when we surrender our desires, God shows us how to use the gift.
I’ve dreamed of your freedom,
The way your arms extend,
You choose when to come and go,
And no one can tell you where to end
The anxiety inside me
Thirsts for your power,
Your salt is deceitful;
You cannot quench my thirst,
Not directly because you’re not an object of lust,
I’ve dreamed to go places,
Without any restraint,
And sometimes I fear your heart,
Because of the way,
Your wrath destroys countries,
Your anger breaks down the hardest stone,
Yet I still want you,
I want to know what it’s like to hold…
Beauty that makes you a tourist destination,
A voice that soothes the soul,
I want to be more like you,
I want to be known,
Yet you’re not understood,
You’re far too complex,
Father, free me from this world...
Free me from myself,
(Hook)
Make waves, don’t be wavy
Cause excuses make you lazy
Think with freedom,
Make your words count with precision,
Seek wise counsel for decisions,
We’re our actions, so act wisely,
Your assumptions don’t define me,
I’m a daughter of the Maker,
Living love is my ID
It’s a bit of a conundrum,
but I’ll try my best to explain,
Feel free to cut me off
If it sounds insane;
My mind is a time machine,
Returning me to the past,
So is the glass half empty or half full?
She asks.
No matter how much is poured in,
It never gets full,
It’s more like a riddle,
What do you think I should do?
(Breathe)
If what’s in your cup is enough for your thirst,
Then that’s not a problem
The source of your fear is really a feeling of lack,
Let go of what’s missing and expand what you have
Hmm...I guess you’re right.
What causes unhappiness? And why are some people who are in tough situations happier than those with better circumstances. While there are medical and psychological explanations - and each experience is unique - here is my truth.
What I believe to be the cause of most unhappiness.
Now, more than ever, it takes some extra effort to keep your peace. Whether it's due to the news or people talking endlessly about how terrible things are, you'll have to be proactive about taking control of your mind and emotions!
:)
Sometimes we're not saying what we're really trying to say because of what we believe is acceptable. The same is true of emotions!
On this episode I talk about getting down to the root emotion.
Have you ever found yourself feeling a little limited due to titles that have either been given, or you have yourself due to experiences?
Let's talk more about that!
Have you ever had a strong emotional reaction to something or someone without knowing why?
On this episode, I discuss some of the causes of that and how you can become more self-aware.
Understanding what we're responsible for and what we're not responsible for gives us the freedom to manage ourselves with greater authenticity and satisfaction. More importantly, it is so important for healthy human relationships!
