Vibe NM proudly welcomes one of MY most favorite women, Maggie La Rancherita Vigil. She grew up singing and raised her two boys who went on to lead very productive lives. (One son, Josh G who had the love of music instilled by this remarkable woman.) The second her voice hits your ears you are instantly embraced by her emotion, energy and her talent. But not only is Rancherita an amazing talent and mother she is a very humble and colorful personality. You quickly fall in love with this woman. Her passion for music is clearly her passion for life. She is the ultimate "Mera Mera" and definition of a "Strong Independent Woman" We look into Maggie's life and her talents, her advice for the younger generation, and her musical influences. Rancherita tells a story with her voice and guitar playing. It instantly brings tears to my eyes. Her talent is so much more than a strong voice but her emotion and deliverance when she sings is a true gift.

Happy New Year 2022, and Welcome back to Season 3 of Vibe NM! It was an awesome time talking with Luisa G, New Mexico's newest female Artist. Luisa is from Lubbock Texas and came into the music scene by storm. Her release, "No Llego el Olvido" quickly climbed NM Music charts. Since then she has easily become one of NM favorites. Produced by "Daniel Lee Gallegos" They have formed a wonderful music collaboration. Daniel calls Luisa "A Diamond in the Rough." And Continues to climb NM Music charts. Luisa has released recently her 2nd CD entitled, "La Tejana Nuevo Mexicana." Luisa talks about her new experience in the music. She talks about being a mother and wife and raising her family before she embarked on her musical career. As a woman she has given us a look into the eyes of a new artist following her dreams as a performer. As well as, it not mattering  the age or the barriers when one would like to pursue their dreams. Later Phil traveled to Texas and played with many of Texas's top Tejano bands. Phil later returned to New Mexico to play with NMs top Artists. He accompanies Carlos Medina and many other artists. However, after a long anticipated time Phil released his newest "Self Entitled CD." It is  followed by original song and hit, "Dale Gas." This CD shares a special song writing collaboration with his beloved, "Tio Gus." This CD will be sure to be one of New Mexico's finest as he focuses on a variety of music.

Lara Manzanares an incredibly talented musician and versatile artist talks with Vibe New Mexico about how a shy country girl born and raised in Tierra Amarilla NM got her start throughout NM farmers markets. Since then Lara is one of New Mexico's most versatile and widely respected women through New Mexico music. Her passion for her art as a songwriter, and her very natural ability to perform and reach her audiences is undeniable! Her artistry is definitely unique. However, Lara's Talents are not just music but so much more. From her unique styles, art, to her beautiful weaving Lara shares with Vibe New Mexico the importance of New Mexico music traditions and using her art to engage and connect with people all over the world.

Carlos Medina has won the hearts of New Mexicans, as well as people throughout the world. His fan base continues to grow. Multi Award winning, talent and Charisma, personality and laughter. But as we listen to Carlos, we learn all of it didn't come so easy. Carlos talks about the love and dedication it took to get to where he is. His practicality and wisdom are probably some of his biggest gifts, along with his humility. We also had a chance to talk with one of my dearest friends his beautiful partner, Christina Romero. We take a look behind the more intimate Carlos Medina as we learn about the constant support and partnership. On this episode of Vibe New Mexico we take a look behind the art of folklorico dance with Renee Roybal. Renee talks about her 20 years teaching dance to hundreds and hundreds of young girls through the years, and her influences. Renee talks about how her dancing career began, dancing with Los Matachines in El Rancho New Mexico at a young age. She explains the art and precision of dance, her inspirations through music and how dance is used in celebration, and continues to be used today. Renee has also accompanied many artists and been a part of large and prestigious performances. Today Renee leads a large group of young ladies with her dance group, "Baile Illusion" where she continues to inspire, teach and dedicate countless hours mentoring and sharing her talents to guiding other young women in the art of traditional dance and keeping it alive.

From a small young girl Dynette Marie grew up around music, being the daughter of Music Giant "Darren Cordova" She can remember the music and the New Mexico Music influence from a young age. Debuting "Vas a Ver" (one of her dads big hits) at a fairly young age, Dynette went on to "Wow" fans. Dynette's decision to follow her fathers footsteps in New Mexico music has made her one of New Mexico's number one recording and selling artists. Dynette talks about her collaboration with Ernestine Romero and the loss of a dear friend who took her under her wing to show her a new horizon in music. Dynette talks about her growing audiences, influences, career path, and recently her most prestigious blessing of being a mother.

A traditional yet untraditional collaboration of Fernando and Patricia Romero, Mike Chavez, and yours truly Anthony and Andrea Lucero. We talk about the journey along the way and several different experiences, 3 Cd Releases and a handful of awards. However this is not the most important contribution as the foundation in which Divino has chosen to lay upon, to preserve New Mexico music, which is 3 important factors; Family, Faith and Tradition. Divino talks about the ups and downs and focuses on their ideas of the true meaning behind the music, which has a lot to do with having fun and staying true.

Antionette Josephine was raised around New Mexico Music her entire life. Her earliest release was at only 4 years old. She went on to win her very first award at the NMHMA at age 6 and again at 17 years old. Between that time Antionette Josephine has had many influences. She was honored to be mentored and befriended by the late "Ernestine Romero." Antionette talks about her musical influences and how it was to grow up in the New Mexico music scene. Antionette was only 17 years old when she first released her first CD entitled "This Magic Moment" She has done well with reaching many New Mexico Music charts with her songs such as "Con Esta Copa" and "Un Dolor." Antionette Josephine is debuting her newest single, "Contigo Otra Vez"on this episode of Vibe New Mexico.
