Episode SummarySometimes, doesn’t it seem like success oozes so easily from some of the people who surround us, whether they occupy a place of national or international recognition or are found in our own communities? We might wonder and marvel at the picture perfect lifestyles they must have judging from all the trappings of success we see and perceive occurring in their lives. The truth of the matter though is that they are 100% bona fide human beings just like the rest of us - experiencing those highs, lows and in-between life whatevers we all face… it’s part of humanity. In today’s Victory in Mind Podcast episode, I thought to share some keys of success gleaned from some of the lives of these said individuals, that are worthy of yours and my consideration as we press on towards successfully achieving our life goals. Be encouraged as you live with victory in mind!TIME-STAMPED SHOW NOTES[00:00:00]Intro music and voice over narration for the show[00:00:43] Introduction to the show and today’s focus, highlighting some real keys to success. [00:01:13] General ways we define success today, like the Elon Musks of our world versus that teacher that all the students love. [00:01:50] Let’s keep in mind that the very key ingredients that got them to where they are are not unique traits per se. [00:02:24] Nor do all the successful people we know come from a background with silver spoons in their mouths. [00:03:04] The truth is that we each walk our own journey so what an external observer sees in reality, never quite meets the expectations we set up in our minds. [00:03:55] Perhaps instead, we can glean information, keys to their possible success and work on those areas in our lives. Here are six keys to success to consider. [00:05:30] Number one, facing fear. [00:06:52] Number two, tenacity. [00:08:01] Number three, failure, is part of the journey. [00:08:54] Number four, strengthening yourself with what you have built up form the inside. [00:09:43] Number five, being humble. [00:11:00] Number six, being willing to learn. [00:11:53] Here’s one of those comfortable, uncomfortable questions… [00:12:19] Conclusion: keys to success that are worthy of consideration. Thank you so much for listening. Episode SummaryLately, it seems like the world is spinning at such a pace, as if out of our control, out of our reach, out of something. Stories and narratives are being put out by so many and with questionable truth underguarding these “facts” being released. Are they real? Is this a credible source? Do credible sources truly exist any more? And what are the ramifications of all these words, this information being released, for us and for future generations? Today’s Victory in Mind episode is about the power of our words, what we chose to release or not release into our atmosphere. We are able to shape and control the narrative of our worlds and influence the world of others. The question then remains regarding the content of what we chose to say as to whether or not we are putting out a fire or are we putting a fire out? Happy Contemplating...TIME-STAMPED SHOW NOTES[00:00:00] Show trailer [00:00:13] Intro music and voice over narration for the show [00:00:47] Introduction to the show [00:01:10] Putting sound into context. [00:01:45] Why is sound, the words we release so relevant in the conversations we are currently having? [00:02:54] Practical example for putting out the fire - scientific too! [00:04:14] So what’s your contribution to the various fires out there being released by the words we say? Are you oxygen, heat, fuel? A combination of some or all of them or [00:04:47] Perhaps, you are a fire extinguisher? [00:05:19] We are in the driver's seat as to where we are steering our words, what we choose to release out into the atmosphere. Wisdom revealed through the ages… did you get any of this too? National Sisters, National Girlfriends and National Friendship Days are just around the corner! Let’s recognize how we have lifted each other up and then some. [00:03:17] Emotional triggers just by saying or thinking about the words that define these days. While most memories and emotions may be good, one must pause to recognize that there may and could be feelings of anger of pain. So much to unpack. Maybe yours and my starting point can be with intentional purpose in being someone who makes these National Sisters Day and National Friendship Day worth celebrating. [00:05:16] The Origin of National Friendship Day puts a lot into perspective especially in today’s volatile climate. Think about this. Episode SummarySometimes, it seems there is a blur between the make-believe of fairytales and the reality of our lives today. Not here. Not today. Not now. But there are valuable life lessons we can learn from the plots, twists and turns found in fairy tales. This is what today’s podcast is about… have you found your glass slipper? Happy listening.TIME-STAMPED SHOW NOTES[00:00:00] Show trailer: I feel a life lesson about to come on... At Cinderella's expense! Sorry, Cindy.[00:00:28] Intro music and voice over narration for the show[00:01:01] Introduction to the show and looking forward to sharing what exactly Cinderella has to do with living with victory in mind. [00:01:23] Cliff notes on Cinderella… 21st Century style. [00:04:07] Okay, back to the relevance of this story for our podcast today. That slipper and the whole foot size thang. [00:04:49] But people, why are we trying to fit ourselves into other people's dreams? [00:05:54] Sometimes, blessings come with baggage we don’t understand or fully comprehend unless we are on the receiving end. [00:07:24] And then, can we even adjust to the abrupt changes in our situation? [00:08:20] We cannot be anyone else but who we were created to be. [00:09:00] Maybe we are those who clearly had such small feet as in the story… Why do we sometimes try to fit into glass slippers when they're clearly too big for us? [00:11:00] The big feet situation, trying to fit into the tiny slippers, ph-lease! Could we all just stop trying to fit into situations and plans that we have outgrown or clearly do not fit into or who, or what we were created to be, or to do. Don’t minimize your potential.
