"Last year we marched. This year we run!" On today's special episode of ViewPoint, Bakari sits down with Donna Fazzari and Tracy Fraim from Run Like A Girl, an all-new female-centric political podcast launching Thursday August 23rd! A day before the show's official launch, ViewPoint features an exclusive first-listen of the Run Like A Girl season premier episode 'What's Old Is New Again'! Hear Tracy's full conversation with Deb Haalnd--Democratic candidate for New Mexico's 1st congressional district--by subscribing to @RLAGPodcast in Apple Podcasts. "It’s a historic time. More female candidates are running for office than ever before. For many, this is new territory. Women represent only 20% of the seats in Congress. To increase that number we need to understand what it’s like to run like a girl in today’s heated climate." Donna and Tracy tell Bakari about the show's Michigan origins, being on the campaign trail with Democratic gubernatorial candidate Gretchen Whitmer, and why they feel--now more than ever--it's important for women to take the lead. More information about Run Like A Girl can be found on the show's official website.
