The plain and short of it, as we interact with scripture, we have to ask: “What does the Bible say about what the Bible says.”

This has been a hot topic throughout the history of the church. Why? Because what it really means is “What do we believe about women in leadership in the church?”
Are you so tired today that not even a nap would fix your problems? You’re winded— can’t seem to catch your breath. In other words, you are suffering from what the world has coined as “burnout”.
There are people out there that say “The word Rapture is not in the Bible.” And just for the record, that is true. But that does not mean that the occurrence of the Rapture is not in the bible.
What does it look like when we begin to apply the teachings of Jesus to our lives? The foundation defines the project, but we decide what we will use to build on the foundation.
Sometimes, we have made the knowledge of God an educational pursuit. But you cannot educate yourself into a relationship with Jesus.
The foundation of Christianity is Jesus’s teachings (what did he say?), repent and believe (How do I respond?), and go and tell (what shall I do now?).
Who does Jesus think he is— eating with sinners? This muttering of leadership is why Jesus shared a series of parables.
PJoe shared some brief thoughts during the night of worship. What does it mean to be undignified?
Any building at all begins with the foundation. It is at the bottom— everything rests upon this part of the structure.
What is a lock’s purpose? To protect something, probably of value. To keep something safe.
Ask God to open your heart and your ears. Do you want to hear God speaking?
God wants to show his greatness! But we continue to settle for the world’s crumbs.
One thing scripture is abundantly clear about is that love seeks the lost. There’s something about God’s furious love that actively seeks out those who need it the most.
Not by works so that no one can boast. You have been saved by God – do you want it?
The Lord’s name literally is, “Abounding in love and FAITHFULNESS” What does that tell us about God himself?
We can all trust the Lord when it is popping up sunshine and roses-- when it is blue skies and big smiles. What about in the storm, the wreck, the loss?
Sometimes we get caught up in the definition of surrender that gets wrongfully associated with weakness or loss. We shout “never surrender!” and continually spend our days looking to prove our strength, worth, and value to those around us. However, just like in the hymn, our full surrender leads to a greater presence of the Holy Spirit.
