Couldn't finish this interview. Sorry, but having an open relationship isn't the only way to build trust and "save" your relationship, and it seems like that's what is being promoted here. Monogamy isn't for everyone in the same way that polyamory or open relationships are't for everyone. Humans are vast and diverse and this whole argument we are still having about whether the 7 billion people on the planet are all monogamous or not is stupid. Every individual is built differently and pushing an agenda to get people on your side, regardless of what side that is, is gross. In the same way you can't change someone's natural sexual orientation, you can't change someone's natural inclination in their romantic relationships. The author could have discussed this topic in a different way, but she chose to make her views "facts" and I really can't get down with that.
