When I received a message asking if would I be interested in having Aweke Kobi Zena coordinator of the National Anti-Racism unit at the Justice Ministry of Israel as a guest on my podcast while he was visiting in the US, I immediately said yes! Then my next question was, wait why does Israel need an anti-racism czar? I am not new to following Israel, being an advocate for the US-Israel relationship, and working with various Jewish organizations, and in all of this time, I did not know this department existed. I was two weeks out from my second trip to Israel as part of a Social Impact Delegation and would at that time have the opportunity to meet Aweke Kobi Zena and his staff in person.
