Excellent coverage of the movie! I genuinely love this podcast. The fifty shades episode disappointed me a bit, though. The hosts are so good at calling out problematic directors, but do nothing but praise Sam Taylor-johnson. She’s certainly a problematic figure; she started dating her now husband when he was just 19 and she was 42. Legal, sure, but very gross and I would argue unethical.
"People are dumb." Gee, thanks, lizzie. you're making these episodes a painful listen. you just can't keep your mouth shut or spew an opinion while chris is talking. Chris' info was a great listen. I just wish I could mute out lizzie.
lizzies demeanor is making it harder to listen to episodes. I get you have an opinion, but just because you do, doesn't mean it's a good one or accurate one.
this is the best podcast (full stop) about movies
i love all that jazz! thank you guys for this episode
Far too little time between the spoiler warning and an ABSOLUTELY ENORMOUS spoiler. I was just pressing pause to avoid it, but couldn't have got there in time. Bad form!!
Absolutely love the deep dives in What Went Wrong! 🎬 It's wild how much chaos can hide behind the scenes of even the biggest blockbusters. Makes you appreciate the movies that do go right!
Love that the Predator one is 0 seconds long. What went wrong with Predator? Absolutely nothing.
