Each week, 3 members of the Special Pickleball Service are parachuted in behind Pickleball lines, court shoes on the ground to win hearts and minds on the streets of Los Gatos, California, to present WHO DINKS WINS.
Coaches Montgomery, Berisford & Philip are assembled because of their love for Pickleball and a serious dinking problem.
WHO DINKS WINS riffs and nasty Nelson’s on strategy, technique, fitness, kit and everything but the kitchen dink, along with lashings of hot Brit bants.
So, put the kettle on, butter a scone (cream first, then jam; no arguments) sit back in your wingback and have a little listen (or gander on the YouTube).

A spirited debate unfurled with many Pickled fingers in many Pickleball pies including making drills fun, serving properly with belly buttons, line judging and other not so Pickleball pies like hair extensions, past swimsuit modeling and Pickle triv.

The 3 Englander Coaches debate playing in or out; which might be better/easier & advantages for both. They pontificate about Tom Brady's stellar professionalism; how he is leading The Blues to the Premier League & how the good folk of this country are raised with the same winning mentality. Coach Philip bombshells with news of one eyed lens application & there is a modicum of bants about rule changes that might increase the funnage.
"Welcome ins" from the Coach that's qualified but doesn't coach, the Coach that coaches but isn't qualified and the qualified Coach who coaches all the time.
So, why do we Coach? Is it coz we are kind? Well yes. But, we also think it might be that we are creatives.
We discuss the peril of talking quickly at parties, 5 shot drops replacing 3rd, Coach Berisford's voice not being like Roger Moore nor Richard Burton, Coach Philip's percussion weapon of mass destruction and Coach Montgomery's unfair insults from DUPA.
Coach Philip talks about his pint-sized, hand-held warm up film (available on Insta), Coach Montgomery catalogues his long road back after a year out and Coach Berisford chats about losing much poundage through not having breakfast and getting on wrinkly old fruits...

Coaches Philip, Berisford & Montgomery finally get a colonial commoner to interrogate - Mr Chris Valego.
Chris tells us about his Superman roots and when he decided to lose all his tennis friends by switching to Pickle. He discusses the difficulties, the similarities and when he realized that Pickle was not “pattercake”.
We have, also, some dedicated mansplaining, stories of sadistic Nuns and inserting beetroot.
The SPS unit discuss good manners - on and off the court, kit (especially stupid hats), kids swearing at school, electrified squirrels and Google translate...

In this episode Beri celebrates Los Gatos rowing club's outstanding success at the National Rowing Championships in Florida, Monty bemoans LAX and the cost of a flat white in LA while Philip recounts his encounter with a very untidy Tahoe bear.

Coping with "Nasty Nelsons", 'illegal' paddles (they're bouncy) & recent rule changes are discussed too.
Montgomery drools whistfully over great food back in London & Beri describes in too much detail a Rugby toilet jape which has left him scarred and explains a lot.
