They have a fundamental misunderstanding of what the Postal Service is. It is not a business. The USPS is a constitutionally mandated service that the Federal government provides to citizens. For a mere 8 billion a year taxpayer subsidy the USPS adds over a trillion in GDP. They generate taxes 10 fold larger than what we put in. It was genius for the Founding Fathers to see how critical it would be to provide affordable mail service to citizens and a testament to its recent management that it is such a boon to taxpayers. The USPS didn't cost us $2.2 billion last quarter they generated about 18 billion while providing delivery of medication to home bound elderly people during a national emergency. The cost of a defunded post office to local commerce would be huge. Think of the menu from a local restaurant sent to a neighborhood, or a free magazine with local stories with ads for local businesses. The cost to free speech would be even larger. Another episode mimicking Trump's talking points. Democratics want to keep the economy closed and keep kids out of schools. Studies in Israel and Georgia summer camps have shown the infectious rate in kids. Wouldn't it be great if we had a robust testing program lead by the Federal government or at least injecting kids with Lysol and UV light. I have kids in school and we are extremely concerned about bringing COVID-19 home its so easy to ignore CDC guidelines when it comes to teachers and kids health.

Love how the WSJ continue to just say It's only Trump's blustering about getting a substantial cut of the potential Tik Tok deal. Trump is nothing but bluster and when we see his taxes we will also see he is a tax cheat and worth well below his own inflated net worth.
