On this Episode I was so excited to talk with my friend Amy Evans about her journey helping others. Amy is a Mindset Coach and helps others with their health and wellness goals.Amy graduated from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with research in Nutritional Biochemistry, and obtained her health coaching certification at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City. She is currently a doctoral student of Integrative & Functional Nutrition with a minor in Mind-Body Medicine at Saybrook University, located in Pasadena, California. Amy has worked in various capacities of health and wellness, from certified fitness trainer to developer and manager of the Healthy Body Healthy Mind After School program for children of under-served communities in her hometown of Logan, WV. She has volunteered hundreds of hours developing summer fit & nutrition camps for children, coaching for Girls On The Run, and most recently a mountain bike coach for National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) of New York before moving to beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico to work as a Nutritional Health Coach for Natural Grocers. When not helping others reach their health goals, Amy can be found with wind in her hair, cycling around town, or bombing down the side of a mountain on one of her bicycles.Amy is getting ready to launch her Happy Coaching Bootcamp, a bootcamp that helps individuals discover what makes them tick at their core values level (not just on paper) so that they can live in alignment with what they value most. To sign up for the bootcamp please visit Happy Coaching Bootcamp.Find Amy on Facebook and connect with her!! Amy Evans on Facebook
Warning... we get deep in this episode. I feel like there are many people who need to hear this message. They need to hear the struggle, they need to hear the honesty. Life is not all roses, going after your goals sometimes sucks and you know what, life can get damn lonely at times.I am grateful to be able to bring you what I see as a powerful movement meant for everyone. LOVED AF is a movement. It is knowing that even when you may feel alone, you are so incredibly loved. You deserve love. You are love. You are a badass with an amazing heart. Go thrive!
Don't stop believing!! Maybe journey had it right. When we talk about motivation, I feel like we need to talk about where our belief lies. Is it internal, external or non-existent?When we go after a goal deep down we want people to support us, but do we lose motivation when they don't? We have to remember that we are egocentric people and most of the time focused on ourselves, so how can we expect others to be the soul source of support when it comes to our goals. When we lose that motivation how do we get it back? I believe that each time we push ourselves out of our comfort zone we gain a bit more motivation and drive. We explore these aspects plus a few more on this weeks episode!
Manifestation... a word that is gaining popularity. What does it actually mean and how do we manifest all our hearts desires?Manifestation is actually really simple. Declare what you want, act as if it has already happened and put yourself in the right vibration and mindset, then let go and trust. We like to overcomplicate it with wondering where our manifestations are and why they haven't happened yet. Here is the thing about how all of this and life works. We don't always have control in how exactly things happen. If you ever really stop to look at life's mishaps however you will see that you either ended up exactly where you needed to or that you ended up somewhere better than you expected.Get your pen and notebook out and get ready to get everything that little heart desires!
Hi Friends!!!I am so excited to bring you season two of the podcast!! If you haven't noticed yet, it even has a new name!Welcome... again to Watch Kate Fail. Same podcast... different name.To start off Season 2, I bring you an episode that was very difficult for me to talk about. So difficult I actually recorded it 3 times. The reason I am starting to open up about some of the more difficult things in life is I know someone out there needs to hear it.When I was going through some of these things I was looking anywhere for just an ounce of faith and something to keep pushing me through. I will say it again and again... some of the absolute best days in your life are coming up and you haven't yet met all of the people who will love you unconditionally in this lifetime.I hope you enjoy what is to be a HUGE Season 2!
It was an honor catching up with former NHL player Mike Brodeur to discuss his mental health journey. This is a topic we both are very passionate about and both have a mission to break down the stigma and help people achieve their best life.I got to know Mike and his amazing wife Melissa, during their time in Binghamton when Mike was playing in the Ottawa Senators club. I have many found memories of hockey nights and more importantly how willing these two were to help out a community and build such great bonds, knowing it was a temporary home.Mike had a successful hockey career and was an amazing hockey player, but after three major surgeries and concussions, he had to decide what was most important to him in life. He and his wife had just had their first kid and he decided to hang up his skates. Hockey was what Mike knew, and hanging up his skates made him lose his purpose. His anxiety, depression and pain were very real and he could not figure out why he felt the way he did. This affected his relationship with his family, so he tried the traditional route and went to his doctor who put him on prescription medication. Mike says they just made him feel numb, he couldn't function properly and had no energy to chase his son around. If anyone else other than Mike had described this, I wouldn't believe it was the same person. That is the funny thing about mental health. Sometimes it creeps up on us, sometimes it's a result of trauma, sometimes it is the result of losing what we have identified as our purpose, and most the time we don't know how to take the steps to get better. After lots of research and experimenting, Mike found psilocybin to be something that worked and helped heal him. There is a lot of research on this subject already and even more coming out showing physical healing of the brain and helping people through trauma. Mike has teamed up with MindfulMeds to help educate people on the benefits of psilocybin along with other plant medicines and inspires others to take care of their mental health.I look at Mike as an up and coming mental health ambassador. This is a topic and area that there is still so much silence around, especially in young-adult males. I am grateful to Mike for being willing to share his story and inspiring others to get help, in whatever way or form works for them. Please take the time to check Mike out on instagram @mike_brodeur and also be sure to check out MindfulMeds. They have a number of great products. Please remember if you are struggling with your mental health, there are people to help.US Nation Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-8255 Canada Suicide Prevention Service line: 1-833-456-4566It does get better.
Every month I take on a new 30-day challenge. This month I picked something a little out there in an area I did not really think would be an issue. No I wasn't giving myself a break, It was more something that we instinctually do not think about and I wanted to place focus in my life on it.While I thought yeah there will be benefits to this months challenge, I did not think there would be a major life lesson. I am really happy I completed this and encourage others to try this one out!Check out the podcast to find out what it was and what I learned!

Have you guys noticed a huge shift? So many people are leaving their 9-5's in search of living their passions.Maybe it was the pandemic, but 20 and 30 year olds all over the world are ditching the idea that they have to work at a desk, for a company to be successful. This is the huge jump that I am making and let me tell you with 100% honesty, it has not been nearly as scary as I thought it would be.The emergence of the "Gig Economy" has allowed so many to use their talents, work remotely and travel the world. It has allowed people another source of income or to even leave their jobs all together. All it requires is work ethic. One of the many things I do as part of my business is Freelance work. Fiverr has been one of the easiest ways for me to start earning extra income. DO NOT EVEN THINK... "oh well I don't have any talents that I can offer on Fiverr. There is something that everyone can do. If you are ready to give Fiverr a go, check it out here! Here is to living your passion and making bank boys and girls. I know I am grateful I now have complete control over my success.
This episode discusses how to put all of those puzzle pieces, aka life lessons, together so you can live your one ultimate badass life.It occurred to me that often we have a difficult time excelling at all areas of our life. We may be rockstars in our careers but suck at relationships. We may be crushing it at the gym but crushing our diets with eating out and drinking all the time.So how do we pull all of these awesome piece together? I've got the answers in this podcast. xoxo (ha gossip girl)Kate

Freelancing, health coaching, badassery coaching.I am super excited for this next journey and even more excited to share it with you!I am grateful for all of the love and support... welcome to the new chapter kids!!
In this episode I talk about completing the workout I talked myself out of 4 times. Yup! You heard that right. Four straight years I sooo wanted to do this workout and four years I told myself no. I told myself I wasn't in shape, I can't do half the moves, I wasn't conditioned enough. A few of these years I was at my peak physique and athleticism. The past two years a voice telling me it was too hard and I am physically incapable rang loudly through my head. Something I thought I had dealt with and moved on from. Here is the thing. You have to start where you are at. Start with what you are capable of and push yourself out of your comfort zone each and every day... even just a little bit.I will be 100% honest. I can do two strict pull-ups on a good day and I still finished this workout and NO ONE can take that away from me. I ring-pull-uped my little badass heart out and had a blast doing it.I will tell you all over and over until I am blue in the face, take that first step. Celebrate that first step. We all have different starting lines. You are incredible for starting and deserving of accomplishing each and every goal.
In this episode we discuss curveballs and endings. Most importantly how to remember that every crazy crash and burn moment features pure beauty and strength on the other side.Remember that crossroads... well we finally picked. The decsion has been made and there is no going back.
Rejection... a feeling that we never want to feel. Think about a time you have been rejected. Now think about where you are now. Some of the most amazing things in life would not have worked out if you weren't rejected. This episode we talk about how to deal with rejection and how to be able to move forward with grace and positivity. I promise, this is easy.
In this episode we talk about how to be ok with not every relationship (friendship, romantic, whatevership) working out, why it is ok that not everyone likes you, and that it is ok to not like everyone!... that was a mouthful.Let's be real. We want to be likable. We want to have friends and meaningful relationships, but at what cost? This episode talks all about how to let go of the need to be liked by everyone and how to avoid those sneaky energy vampires. Put that energy into the things that matter boo! Ugh I just said boo... Not everything needs an explanation or a conversation. Let it go... let it goooo! and go on being your adorable little badass self.
I know... how rare. Something I am not an expert at! (please note the intense sarcasm). Here it goes... Dating. I am not good at dating. I don't know the rules, I hate small talk, would rather spend cold nights at home with the dog. Basically I am who I am and that is not a bad thing. In an age with never ending dating apps, swiping, liking and messaging, it seems like the old ways of romance may have gone out the window. But have they really? In this episode I go over my imperative steps that you need to know before you even dip your foot into the dating pool! I promise I won't ghost you!
The third and final part to this crazy long weight loss story! It has been ten years since it all began. Through the hardships, bumps, bruises, scathing wounds, blood and lots of tears I would never change it for the world. I have been given the greatest gifts through some of the hardest pains. Most importantly it all has transformed me into the cutest little badass that I am so proud of.Take a listen, get inspired, kick butt.
The story I have told a million times over... but not like this. Genuine and raw. What it truly is like to lose 120lbs. More importantly what it's truly like to transform your life. I promise you it is not all rainbows and unicorns. I think some of the best support is knowing this.Come join me on this journey!

Now I have Bone Thugs-N-Harmony stuck in my head. We have all been there. The many crossroads of life. How do we decide which to choose? Is there ever really a right or wrong answer? This episode lays out what is important when faced with major decisions.
