When Emma Finucane walked into the Watts Occurring Femmes studio yesterday, the team had to bow down at her feet. She's now an MBE!
Manon Lloyd got the inside scoop on what it's like to receive such an honour from Princess Anne. She also told Emma about her own recent brush with cycling royalty - when she interviewed G at the end of the Tour!

The boys have made it to Wales. God's country. And they're ready to tackle the infamous Tumble tomorrow.
The final Lloyds Tour of Britain stage on English soil saw the race finish atop Burton Dasset Country Park and saw the first battle of the climbers this race. Young Romain Gregoire took the day and the race lead. Can he keep it on The Tumble?
For G, there was plenty of food-based gifts which he's keeping from Luke, some excellent Welsh Cakes deserving of our Lloyds Upstaged award, andd over in the Vuelta Joao Almeida did more than enough to take our Continental Tyres Chapeau of the Day.

We had a British winner at the Lloyds Tour of Britain today - and it angered G! Much to Luke's amusement.
20-year-olds shouldn't have 12 wins in a pro season according to G, but Brennan is putting on a show this year. Can he win the whole race? Luke thinks he might just do exactly that.
Elsewhere, Luke's been causing crashes, G's nearly had his arm ripped off, and we're wrapping him in Watts Occurring cotton wool until Cardiff.
Over in the Vuelta, Juan Ayuso is ignoring absolutely every thing going on around him to win again... but the boys picked someone else for their Continental Tyres Chapeau of the Day.
And in the UK, a young lad wouldn't let G sign his beautiful design... incase he ruined it. That attitude was more than enough to win our Lloyds Upstaged prize.

Lloyds Tour of Britain day two is in the books and it was another big, dominant sprint win for Olav Kooij.
Behind the scenes, G was accusing Luke of attacking INEOS during a puncture while Luke was giving all his tactics away to Visma Lease-a-Bike. Both those stories will make sense when you listen.
Brilliantly as well, the lads are sharing a hotel tonight - so they were able to pod in the same room! That does't happen very often.

There's been a lot of build up to G's final race and, well, he nearly missed it.
A plane mechanical and a thunder storm conspired to stop him travelling to Suffolk until 1am last night, but he got there. Thank the lord for that. We'd have had to rip up some big old Watts Occurring plans.
Anyway, he rolled out from Woodbridge this morning resplendent in his new INEOS jersey aboard his stunning special edition Pinarello DOGMA F and the Lloyds Tour of Britain was underway.
Luke was in the Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale team car calling the shots and his boy Tord Gudmestad nearly pulled off a brilliant stage win. He's also an excellent songwriter. You'll have to listen for that story.
There was some incredible fans on the roadside and the boys went through some of their favourites in our new feature Lloyds Upstaged.

There was G, minding his own business on a leisurely training ride, when a flipping triathlete overtook him. Minutes later, the Cam Wurf wannabe had been pulled over the by the Gendarme for riding too fast.
A close escape for our Welshman, who's winding down now - but not before racing the Tour of Germany this week, and the Tour of Britain in a fortnight.
Luke's been busy too, DSing in Hamburg and now he's prepping himself for Renewi Tour. God speed, Decathlon AG2R.

Pre-Tour de France, a lot of names were thrown around for the top 10. Not many lists had Scotsman Oscar Onley on them.
And yet the 22 year old from Kelso enjoyed a breakthrough ride at the world's biggest race. Fourth place overall, with a remarkable eight top-10 finishes, Oscar announced himself on the biggest stage and finished just a minute off the podium.
We knew we had to get him on the pod - and of course, Luke had to crown him as our Continental Tyres Chapeau of the Tour. Awards in cycling don't get bigger than that.

Well, that's that then. G has raced his final ever Tour de France stage. From the youngest man in the race who finished 140th back in 2007, to the 2018 winner, and now the oldest guy in the race. It's been a truly remarkable journey.
Yesterday's ride around Paris was G's 282nd Tour stage. Yes, you are reading that correctly.
The rain fell on Paris and put paid to our best laid plans to bring you a finish line pod with G but, once he'd dried off, had a shower and a celebratory beer, he joined Tom for a chat at the team hotel to reflect on a momentous day.

What a ride from INEOS' Dutchman on the final mountain stage at this year's Tour. Chapeau, Sir.

We saw the breakaway duke it out for the win, Pog and Jonas come within a whisker of catching them, and just generally some excellent Ventoux fireworks. One of the stages of the race so far.

Just when I thought your podcast couldn't get any better you've added the perspective of a Sport Director. The simple act of sitting with staff instead of the riders is not talked about. Many team staffers are retired riders and disappear from the public eye. As a fan of bike racing of 30 years I can say this episode was refreshing and I can't wait for more!

omg that road in Harlech , we used to go there camping in Llanbedr every year when I was really young for about 10 years or so back in the 1970's ...my dad loved driving up there and I can say I hated it every time and that was in a car. Would hate to cycle it .
G , you spoke about climbing up out of Caerphilly, I remember seeing you there at ToB . Brilliant. Looking forward to being able to see you out there again.
