Thank you for this! I've historically been one of the terroristas holding the convo hostage & it's something I've diligently worked on. I have a long way to go. As a teacher, it's annoying to have "fire & forget" questions, or folks that are consistently in "transmit only." Please consider active listening. There's nothing worse than having the audience shut down because you can't shut up. We all have a story. Allow others to tell theirs.

Thank you for addressing fat shaming & all the layer of the topic. As a Soldier of 23 years who was built too low to the ground, the Army's antiquated BMI model was more of a mental nemesis than my enemies in combat. Soldiers routinely starved themselves for the weigh-in immediately following their PT test. My brother was blown off for high BP, & three ER trips later was diagnosed with a brain bleed. My aunt passed away from heart failure after her doctor kept upping her GERD meds. Frustrating

I felt this down to my bones. The youngest, feeling like Atlas holding up the World. I'm 54 now & I've always held up my mom, dad & brother. I now imagine I'm the internalizer, trying to deep dive into what often feels like a Bucket of Fuck. Thank you for bringing on guests that provide a spark for self-reflection & self-healing.
