We Got Your 6@6 with THE PEOPLE'S PATRIOT PROJECT

Join us as WE come together to see the issues and the needs of today’s HEROES, our veterans and first responders. WE will discuss the solutions and see the organizations that are boots on the ground as WE combat the silent, invisible and deadly enemies our HEROES are facing. WE are a grassroots, nonpartisan, nonprofit acting in the Mission to honor, empower and support those who have served. WE are the shock and awe in combating the silent, invisible and deadly enemies of our daily heroes, the First Responders and Veterans. Our goals come on many levels and forms as WE are raising awareness to those who do not know, WE are providing resources to those in need and WE provide the opportunities to those who are still interested in serving and/or have not had or taken the chance to serve before. WE are the beacon of hope for many to change their world through recalibration and rehabilitation. Our goals are to get our HEROES back into their families and communities. Happy Heroes create happy communities.

WGY6@6, Episode 133 - Hitting the Ground

We Got Your 6@6 Episode 133: Tonight’s episode will feature two amazing new guests. While out Hitting the Ground, we have had the fortunate opportunity to meet with members of Wounded Warriors Guide Service right here in Minnesota. Caleb Huss, one of the hunting trip planners, and brand new Vice President of WWGS. Caleb is an Army veteran, and after his own experience has decided that he has a passion for helping other wounded veterans. WWGS uses their hunting and fishing experiences to take small groups of veterans to remote places for fun and activities, but the bonding and camaraderie is the main focus, as that is often where the healing begins. Our stunning music artist tonight is David Allen Stone. David is still active in the Army, and being a leader looks good on him! So far David is eighteen years in and still loves his job. David re-found his passion for music after joining the service. He was able to spend some time learning music and instruments, and songwriting comes with the package. It was when he lost a dear military friend to suicide that he wrote his song “Bury These Burdens”. This song is in a Country Network competition at the moment. David is Hitting the Ground running with his musical talent, and is hoping to share it everywhere. Saving one life or hundreds makes all of the work worth it. On 22 January, We Got Your 6@6 Patriot Playtime will feature guest Earl Granville and music artist and entertainer Clayton Q. These guys will make your world a better place, just by knowing who they are. Please make time to stop in and give it a listen! The People’s Patriot Project exists to be the shock and awe when combating the deadly and invisible enemy that is killing our heroes. We are always Hitting the Ground with our boots on and ready to serve those who have served. Our guests have hopefully been inspired to move forward and help support and empower those who are still with us and remember those who are not. If you want to be involved in helping and paying it forward, please get in touch with us and we will find a place for you. #communityheroes #NeverForget #PatriotPride WE are all about making relationships and being the communication that others sometimes let slip by. In this episode, we sit down with Josh Rainy and Danny Stokes of Freedom Ops, a new nonprofit driven by a powerful mission to honor the fallen and support healing. Josh shares the story of their recent event, The Courage Climb, where they ascended Cadillac Mountain in Maine 13 times—each climb dedicated to one of the 13 heroes lost during the Afghanistan pullout. His journey of healing led him to connect with Danny, who talks about their planning for the upcoming Abbey Gate Climb. You can follow their work on Facebook at Freedom Ops. Our featured music comes from Caleb Boles, a veteran who discovered his passion for songwriting after service. Caleb describes it as simply “making a song,” yet the depth and power in his music speak volumes. He shares three moving pieces—Fortunate Frown, Beauties of War, and The Volunteer—each carrying its own heartfelt message.

This episode should really make all of us rethink our ‘cozy’ lives. We are reminded to not take things for granted and to enjoy each day as it comes. We are joined by Jessica Lynch, who will always be known as the female prisoner of the Iraqis after a skirmish in 2003. It is 20 years later, and the memories are still vivid, but Jessica is her own person now and has faced that moment and learned to grow. The WeP3 team of Mark, Andrea and Jonathan have been working hard to put things together in a fun and informative way, with the goal to help all in getting involved. We love to hear the raw stories and the raw songs from our guests, as they share their stories of service and selfless support to keep our country and communities safe. We Got Your 6@6 with THE PEOPLE'S PATRIOT PROJECT

This week’s episode brings together two incredible guests—Col. (Ret.) B. Wayne Quist and Dr. Steve Lansing—authors and lifelong advocates for veterans’ mental health. Col. Quist takes us back as far as WWII, sharing his personal experiences with trauma and the cultural expectation to simply “man up” or risk being cast aside. His journey led him to earn a Master’s in Psychology, fueling his passion to study PTSD and help others heal. Through a chance meeting, Col. Quist connected with Dr. Lansing, who brings over 52 years of experience in the mental health field. Together, they’ve researched the long history of war trauma—stretching back 2,500 years to the writings of Plato, Socrates, and ancient Sparta—tracing how society has silenced or misunderstood these wounds of the soul. Their shared mission is clear: to provide hope, healing, and ultimately, suicide prevention. The conversation also highlights powerful stories—from veterans facing Agent Orange fallout to those who found school scarier than combat—underscoring the lasting impact of trauma. Looking ahead, Wayne and Steve are preparing for Veterans Day events in Lake City, where Dr. Lansing will also lead a continuing education course for therapists. We also welcome musician Kim Donnette, a Navy veteran’s spouse with a heart for encouragement and healing through music. Kim shares the deeply moving story behind her first song, “Come Home,” inspired by a bandmate’s painful memory revealed for the first time. She also discusses her new song “You Lied,” born from her mother’s wisdom about the promises parents make and the reality of life’s endings. Her songwriting is raw, heartfelt, and a reminder of how music can knit our worlds together in unexpected ways. As always, we close with updates on projects close to our hearts: Wreaths Across America – Honoring our heroes at rest. WeP3 Radio – Showcasing music created and performed by those who’ve served their country and communities. #communityheroes #patriotpride

This week, we welcome Col. (Ret.) Oak McColluch, who shares his powerful mission, Leadership Legacy. Oak is passionate about teaching servant leadership, a practice he’s lived by since his high school basketball days. His work spreads through four key areas—talks, his book, social media, and his own podcast. He explains that legacy has two parts: what you leave behind in your career and life, and more importantly, the leaders you raise up along the way. “It really is about community,” Oak reminds us, giving heartfelt credit to his wife, who also served. Our musical guest is Joshua Martin, a talented singer-songwriter whose passion for country and Americana music has taken him across the country. Outdoorsy and hardworking, Joshua is preparing to release his next record. He shares three meaningful songs with us: “Fight This War” – written in honor of veterans and those impacted by 9/11. “If I Fall” – a heartfelt piece born from personal struggles after returning from Iraq, reminding us that no one is truly alone. “American Suicide” – a song about honesty, truth, and living authentically. ✨ What We’re Working On: Wreaths Across America – Help us honor the heroes laid to rest at our national cemeteries. In this episode, we sit down with Chaz Kraynak, founder of FSB Initiative Inc. (Forward Support Base). After serving our country, Chaz suffered injuries that, combined with some tough choices, left him homeless. Out of that hardship came his mission: to honor, help, and serve others facing similar struggles. Today, FSB operates as an all-volunteer nonprofit—working around the clock to deliver real support to those in need. Learn more at fsbinc.org. Our musical guest is Kelly Daniels, a talented artist who chose music over military service the very day he was set to enlist. With deep family roots in military and first responder service, Kelly shares his gift as a way of giving back. He performed three powerful songs for us: “Faded Photographs” (featuring Brooks Herring) — inspired by his grandparents’ resilience and the sacrifices of families who send loved ones off to serve. “Kiss Me Goodbye” — a deeply personal reflection on love, loss, and the pain of silent goodbyes. “Drowning” — an honest look at life’s hardships and the healing power of music over destructive choices.

We Got Your 6@6 - THE PEOPLE'S PATRIOT PROJECT

This week we had the honor of sitting down with Nigel Fischer, a retired Marine who is now dedicating his life to helping fellow veterans find healing. Nigel opened up about the power of music in a person’s life and shared the mission behind Guitars 4 Vets (G4V). Together, they’ve reimagined the way we look at the heartbreaking “22 a Day” statistic. Their new approach, called “135 Alive,” encourages us to flip the focus—each time a veteran or first responder attempts to take his or her life, there are 135 people behind them who are still here and want that person to still be here. Make that call. Nigel has personal experience with the heavy thoughts that come with being at the edge, and his passion shines through as he speaks about transforming that pain into purpose through songwriting and guitars. Keep an eye out for his work with Face the Fight (with Craig Morgan, Sept 10) and exciting collaborations with Taylor Guitars. Of course, we couldn’t help but smile when Petersen had his classic proud papa face moment—especially when connections between Romeo Vaughn and Nigel came full circle during the show. 🎶 Our featured music guest was none other than Romeo Vaughn. If you’ve heard his story before, you know he’s as real as it gets. He’s been to the darkest places and now uses his music to share how he found his way back. Romeo performed three powerful songs for us: Big Dreams, Small Town – With a brand-new video hitting ACN, CMT, and SiriusXM, this one is a must-add to your playlist. Over – A raw look at the inner battle of good vs. bad self… and the victory of choosing light. Cowboy in Boots (feat. DJ Kane) – A fun, uplifting Texas anthem about boots, HEB, and loving your mama. This episode was full of hope, healing, and heart—and we can’t wait to see what’s next for both Nigel and Romeo.

This week’s episode is packed with powerful stories and heartfelt music. Our guest Mike Deibler joined us to share about Veteran Command and his creation of DTS Maps — an interactive push-pin map that allows veterans to mark their travels and tell the stories tied to each place. Every pin carries a memory, a moment, and a story that shaped the journey. Mike also talked about “No Shit, There I Was”, a storytelling event hosted at a local brewery where veterans shared raw, eye-opening experiences straight from the heart. Our music spotlight featured Michael Lisenby, a former law enforcement officer and first responder who has turned his passion toward songwriting. His music reflects deep personal experiences, resilience, and the brotherhood of service. Michael performed three powerful songs: “I Got a Bottle” – Written after the tragic ambush that took the lives of fellow officers, this song is a tribute to their memory and a reminder that one day, they’ll share a drink together again in heaven. “Hammer Down” – A song about racing to the side of a brother or sister in crisis, doing whatever it takes to be there when they need you most. “Hold On Brother” – A heavy, emotional piece about fighting through danger to reach and protect your brother in the heat of battle. This episode is a powerful reminder of the bonds of service, the importance of storytelling, and the healing power of music.

THE PEOPLE'S PATRIOT PROJECT - We Got Your 6@6

Tonight, Army veteran Chris Cilento will share with us about Ravenworks Studios and using the mode of art as a therapeutic tool with others. Chris has been working on some amazing items, and the DAV is now recognizing him for some of his healing kind of art, which is exactly what his mission is. He has spent a lot of time researching and shooting these amazing pictures, but he has times when he is in need of the action and therapy that taking these pictures brings. One of the biggest hurdles in building this as a therapy is funding, believe it or not … He could do so much more for the veteran community with some funding for the cause. Southern Rock and Southern Grunge music that also falls into Red Dirt music style is what Josh Moore and the band, August Lows shares with us tonight. They have this interesting name, and it pertains to the time of year when the river near him is low, and how he was having a low time in his life. He is trying very hard to bring back the local band and the freedom to be accepted for their own style, and not be a cookie cutter music artist. The first song Josh shares is Old Man. He was sure to share that it is one of the songs he has that talks about what is brought back from war, and that whole 22-a-day thing … you know, the invisible and deadly enemy. Not always so easy to deal with. The next song we played is called Want It To, and that was inspired by how we know that we are not always the best we cna be, but we want to try to be. He was raised on grunge, but also had some Axle Rose and other influences and we think he has done well coming through with all that background into his own style. The last song is The Devil Wants Me, and it is a song that has had a lot of thought, but has come through his friend who has been by his side through the challenges of losing some fingers, and Jacob Milton - this is his song! This is for sure not one of those cookie cutter versions!!! THE PEOPLE'S PATRIOT PROJECT - We Got Your 6@6:

We have Mr. Robert Heckler with us on this episode. Robert shares about his mission with The Warrior’s Refuge, out of West Columbia, TX. They are a 501c3 Nonprofit ministry serving our nation’s homeless veterans by providing them with transitional housing and many resources to help end homelessness in their lives. Through housing, case management, counseling, training, and employment resources, our Veterans have the tools they need to succeed. The mission is to end Veteran Homelessness in Texas and ultimately throughout America. The belief is that since our veterans fought for us, it is our turn to fight for them. They do this by providing shelter, transitional living, case management, counseling, and vocational training, along with job placement. They have brought people in from all over the state of Texas and from several other states. The goal is to help the men and women who fought for us, have a place to push the restart button on life https://thewarriorsrefuge.us/ https://www.facebook.com/thewarriorsrefugetx The music for this episode was brought to us by Mr. Jeff Canada, hailing from the great state of Texas. https://open.spotify.com/artist/5wbr7AGbgW36quR6G513cW Jeff believes in real music for real people. He wants to make music that reaches people who may be struggling. The first song of the night was Monsters. This was a song written from a very dark place. It wasn’t written about suicide, but it was written about a recurring dream that sometimes made him not want to go to sleep at night. The feedback from this song was relatable to people who had dealt with suicide in their lives. The video is very much about mental health and suicide. His next song was called High Horse. This was sort of a dis track. It’s an upbeat and fun song. The final song of the night was called Rain. This song is about learning to live in the here and now. Yesterday is dead and gone, tomorrow hasn’t happened yet, so focus on the present. THE PEOPLE'S PATRIOT PROJECT - We Got Your 6@6: Inspiration and Passion

We had Louis Stockley on this episode. He was here to introduce us to his mission, Before 22 A Day. Louis is a driven person, and he has become a coach working with small groups to help them identify and address what is not working for them. The name "Before 22" is as significant as its meaning. Being there for them and helping them through the moment, but also being there to listen and work is the key. Inspiration for Louis has been the mentors he has had since he got out. Louis would like to launch the next retreat with 20 guys and have them be successful through this event. One of the biggest things the group would like to see transitional protocol - #1 everyone could get an MOS to help them over a longer period so they are ready when they are out, and #2 what if the VA could directly send people to the group as they are getting out and sent into the world. The music was brought by Scott D Taylor! He has been here before, and he was amazing as he shared his music live. Scott finds solace and comfort in music, and this is what he determined he would do when he retired from the Army. Scott is working on some of his own music, and we will be waiting to hear more from him as we go! The first song he shares, Dead Wrong, was written by him but for someone else - you listen and enjoy the bluesy sound flowing through the chords. There is a piece that reflects on how hard it is to find where you fit in after your service, and it is hard! He found that person, but it was still not easy, and it took some motivation to get that going. The second song Scott shares is called Ghost - its about a heartache and though he does not know what inspired it, he wrote it and created the chords for it :) Wreaths Across America – https://www.facebook.com/share/129xDbNmPTJ/?mibextid=WC7FNe WeP3 RADIO — WE are the leading music station featuring music created, written, produced and sung by those who have served their country and communities!!! https://live365.com/station/WeP3-RADIO-a51414 Next Week's Guests: 29 June 2025 Robert Heckler Jeff Canada

Cherie McFadden

A wonderfully honest insight into the male psyche with personal stories of breakdowns followed by breakthroughs. I look forward to the episodes to come. Thank you for being real.
