This month, we give impressions on the Penguin, Astro Bot and the Plucky Squire. We've been waiting a loooong time for these and you won't want to miss our thoughts on them. Ghost of Tsushima is finally getting a sequel, the PS5 Pro is real and Backyard Baseball got a release date... with a caveat. Lanterns has found its Hal, Dexter: Original Sin got a release date and Thunderbolts* finally got a trailer. Plus, we make an announcement at the beginning of the show that will change the pod forever... no, that's not clickbait. We're serious.

This month, we give impressions on Deadpool & Wolverine, House of the Dragon S2, The Boys S4, The Bear S3 and Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition. RDJ is back in the MCU, the Backyard Sports franchise has been revived, Ted Lasso is returning for a fourth season, but without a key cast member and the Plucky Squire finally got a release date on Switch and PS5! We recap Gamescom and the Nintendo presentations from August and discuss why Game Pass went from the best value in gaming to an afterthought.

This month, we cover the June 2024 Nintendo Direct, including Mario & Luigi: Brothership, the new 2D Zelda and Metroid Prime 4! We also recap the annual Xbox Showcase, PlayStation State of Play and Summer Game Fest. On top of all that, we give our impressions on House of the Dragon S2's premiere, the Boys S4 and Star Wars: the Acolyte.

HOLY CRAP!! We're eatin' fam!! On Pokémon Day 2024, we just got perhaps the best possible scenario announced with two things Greg has wanted... a new Legends game and a new Kalos game, but they're THE SAME THING! Pokémon Legends: Z-A is coming in 2025, but still does not leave us with some skepticism and questions, but this is no doubt a banger of an announcement. Plus, Mega Evolutions are coming back! Greg breaks the entire thing down and speculates as hot off the presses as you can get... recorded literally minutes after the presentation ended. He also recaps the entire Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase from last week and does a deeper dive into the new Contra game. GET HYPED!

This month, our main story is the future of Xbox, as presented by Phil Spencer and co. At least four Xbox games will go multiplatform, but the company promises it is not done in the hardware space and the brand will live on. We talk about what games will be coming to PS5 and the Nintendo Switch (and Switch 2?!) and why Starfield and Indiana Jones are not... yet.
