I will be releasing episodes every Tuesday now! Anyway. Fernando Tatis Jr. is dancing and having a great time. Cubs fans heckle him which I'm all for and Tatis is dancing, which I'm also all for. He's back and fans will have to deal with it. 2023 Bowman baseball is out and I talk about what to expect in a box. I do the first standings check for 2023 and some teams in first place have a lot of fans like, WTF? Lastly, the new Goldin Auctions Netflix show is here. Go watch it and show some love to Alex Giaimo.
I'm in El Paso again! Joining the team like I did last year to hang out and spend time with the family too. I first talk about the Tampa bay Rays and who I compare them to. Not to a baseball team. But to a basketball team. I also talk about how a new narrative could happen if they don't make the playoffs. Next I give my take on the O'Neill Cruz "slide" at home. Somebody teach that man! Taylor Rogers throws his glove away after a bad outing against the Dodgers. Some people see it differently but I've seen it first had. Lastly I talk about how collecting has been a little quiet. It's early in the season to know how to spend money on.
The first week of MLB has come and gone and what a week it was! I sorta breakdown what's been going on during the week but I pick and choose. I start with saying that the month of April plays such a role for us as fans. It plays tricks on us and not good ones. We are gifted with a ton of great highlights and even a fan altercation I get into. I give a ton of credit to a Cy Young winner on his complete game shutout. Next I give my thoughts on the whole clock violations and the fans who DON'T like the pitch clock. Lastly I talk about the home opener for the Albuquerque Isotopes. GO TOPES!
It's Opening Day! LFG! In this Opening Day episode I'll be going over my rookie of the year, Cy Young, MVP and division winner picks. A lot of my reasons are based on my own gut feelings and "just because I felt like it". I also give a few hot takes for certain players and teams for this season. I'm beyond excited for this season. Thank you all who listen. Returning listeners and new listeners! Let's have a badass season.
Team Japan are 2023 World Baseball Classic champions! In this instant reaction episode I talk about the semi-finals games I watched. Us baseball fans are so spoiled it's not even funny!
I'm back from Arizona! Sucks! In this episode I recap the remaining days of my trip and the WBC game I went to with my dad. I talk about how Mexico fans show up to anything to represent their country. I discuss the feeling of having a sold out ballpark cheer for one thing, baseball. Lastly I discuss Edwin Diaz getting hurt and how fans are already turning on the WBC. Thanks for listening!
I'm in Arizona! The drive felt very short. I made it on a full tank of gas too! Anyway. In this short and sweet episode I talk about my experience in Phoenix so far. The different things I've seen. The Colorado Rockies facility is awesome! I talk about the feeling of having Todd Helton and Kris Bryant sit in the same room as me and eat breakfast. I talk about the different stores I have visited so far. My trip isn't done so next weeks episode will have all the details. Thanks for listening!
I'm relaxed. Late night episode recordings is where it's at! Anyway. In this episode I talk about the pitch clock drama thats been the talk of the sports world. I don't like it at all. I give my own opinion on different views on it. I also believe this has divided fans. Which is sad. Next I got a quick reaction to Manny Machado getting $350 million over 11 years. I talk about how the Padres have a plan, BUT, there's a certain team in that plan. Lastly I talk about how I'm leaving for Phoenix this Saturday to go work with the Rockies for a week!
My former co-host joins me again. Chris Rivera hops on and we talk about all kinds of things baseball. I bring him up to speed on the new rules coming in to next season and gives his takes on them all. Next I talk about Evan Drellichs' book after listening to it. Cheating is what seems to be the thing EVERY team has done with everyone ratting on everyone. I ask Chris what his thoughts are with Ohtani and where he could end up. Lastly I give my take on the current state on MLB. It's the greatest it's ever been.
Albuquerque Isotopes GM John Traub joins me on this episode. We talk about his time becoming a GM and his time in Albuquerque. He gives a little insight on how the Dodgers we're looking to buy a AAA team and the Isotopes weren't for sale. He recalls some of his favorite moments at the ballpark. I ask him how Bryan Cranston actually got to be in Albuquerque in 2022. He talks about what goes into being a GM and how much it takes to get games ready. I ask about the hill at center field going away and we both clear the air about rain delays. Thank you to John Traub for coming on the show. GO ISOTOPES!

Jazz Chisholm is the cover athlete for MLB The Show 23! Good for him. I give my reaction to that news and how I think regular fans of the game are thinking. Derek Jeter is going to be in the game...yay. I discuss what I think MLB The Show should do when it comes to marketing their game using players. Next I talk about a clip from an NFL podcast talking about the league is scripted .I give my take on the whole thing and why I feel it's very hard to rig or script things in sports. Lastly I start getting into things I believe and don't believe in. Like aliens, bigfoot, and ghosts.
I messed up another last name! Shit! This episode I'm joined by Geoff Blum, former MLB player and broadcast announcer for the Houston Astros. I chat with him and I pick his brain on how his experience has been broadcasting for a team like the Astros. He talks about what goes into to his prep before a game, his favorite moments and how he finds that balance point being a broadcaster and a fan of the game. I ask him about when he got caught with a hot mic last season and how it didn't cancel him. Pretty much the opposite. Him and I give our take on the new rules coming to MLB this season. We talk about the current players in Houston and their impact. Lastly I ask him if the Houston Astros have competition in the next 5 years...
First guest of 2023 is Alex Giaimo! Yes I had to ask how to pronounce her name before we started recording. She's a Goldin Auctions Representative and all around collector. She talks about how she got into collecting in the first place from Pokémon to game used memorabilia from all sports. She tells a story how she started collecting baseball cards and how it's helped for her job with Goldin Auctions. We go on and on about random hobby topics.
