It's the awards show you've all been waiting for! The second annual W.A.N.K. Awards celebrating the best (and worst) of AEW this year. Join Tom, Patrick, Huw, Liam and James (and Jack, in spirit) as the winners are revealed, as voted on by the W.A.N.K. staff. Of course, this is just our opinion, and we're not saying if you disagree with our choices you're wrong. Hopefully you can come to that conclusion on your own.
Welcome to the Weekly AEW News Kick awards nominations show. Over the next 15 minutes, our glamorous host Tom will be breaking down all the nominees for our totally objective awards show.
In lieu of an All Out review, Tom and Jack, in their infinite professionalism, talk about one of the best Pay-Per-Views in recent memory before launching into their weekly Dynamite review, which includes a savage promo from MJF, a less savage promo from Dan Lambert, and a main event that featured an unforgivable transgression.
On our most anticipated episode of Rampage Review yet (out of the two we've had), Tom and Patrick discuss the debut that has the entire wrestling world talking. They cover just why this moment was so special, discuss how the debutant transcended wrestling and became a symbol for frustrated fans worldwide and excitedly contemplate their future opponents. Man, Kiera Hogan sure is something.
Liam joins Tom and Jack for another edition of W.A.N.K., in which topics of conversation include: awkward accents, Lance Archer's bad luck, and big beautiful asses. Plus plenty of high octane action as all the matches from Dynamite are reviewed, including one MOTY candidate for Tom...
It's our first Rampage review and Tom and Patrick are ready and willing to dive into a brand new weekly show from AEW, and find the answers to all your burgeoning questions, including; Do too many cooks botch the broth when it comes to announce desks? What is the future of the women's division? And is Britt Baker still a heel? So get ready to fit another shot of WANK goodness into your week, because just like Pfizer, we've got a second dose for you.
The boys are back once more as AEW rolls through Dr. Britt Baker DMD's hometown of Pittsburgh. Tune in to hear the tantalising trio of Tom, Patrick and Jack discuss the highs and lows of Dynamite, as well as start a totally legitimate feud with WrestleTalk. Also, in light of another wave of WWE releases, Patrick and Jack go head-to-head in another heated game of Sign or Decline.
W.A.N.K. returns to your airwaves as AEW returns to Daily's Place for Homecoming. Liam joins the boys as Tom realises he seems to be the only person in the world who enjoyed Chris Jericho's Third Labour, Jack crowns a match "The Perfect Squash", and Liam talks about his cat. At least he's not talking about light incest this time.
Your favourite threesome is back as the boys discuss yet another special edition of Dynamite, this time in the form of Fight for the Fallen. The boys are here with a basket full of hot takes as Tom names a certain entrance his Holy Sh*t moment of the year so far, Jack attempts to convert a non-fan with disastrous consequences, and Patrick gets himself banned from Belgium. Also, which wrestler would look like Paul Heyman if they let themselves go? Join us on another car crash through the week of wrestling to find out.
The lads are back to discuss Fyter Fest Night 2, as Chris Jericho faces his first labor, and Jon Moxley defends the IWGP US Championship against everyone's favourite Murderhawk. There's a surprise debut or two and the boys discuss Slammiversary, Money in the Bank, and two rumoured signings for AEW set to shake wrestling to it's very core.
This week on W.A.N.K., Tom and Patrick are joined by frequent gatecrasher of the show, Huw of the Western Bias podcast, to discuss the first night of Fyter Fest. Among the topics of conversation are the redesigned TNT title, which Pokemon Brandon Cutler embodies, and how long the Fyter Fest brand can remain relevant. Tom nitpicks the finish of the Darby Allin and Ethan Page match, and Huw shows his enthusiasm for the rumoured Wrestlemania 38 main event.
We're back after a short hiatus, but Dynamite on the road is back from a longer one, as AEW make their return to touring with Road Rager! We're talking mixed tag double standards, Elite drama, and Excalibur's uncanny ability to know people's new ring names. So settle in, buckle your seatbelts, and join Tom and Patrick for a truly raging W.A.N.K.!
Jack takes over hosting duties in Tom's absence to talk about a special edition of Saturday Night Dynamite with W.A.N.K co-host Patrick, and for the first time ever...W.A.N.K editor in chief (and our resident American) James. Jack, Patrick & James discuss where the Inner Cirle vs Pinnacle feud is going, a mahoosive world title match between Kenny "by God" Omega & Jungle Boy/Man, and whether 10% off Jade Cargill merch on ShopAEW is worthy of 2 minutes screen time...spoiler alert, it's not!
The golden trio is back to discuss the last scheduled Friday episode of Dynamite featuring the debut of Brock Anderson under the watchful eye of the bleach blonde head of the Nightmare Factory nepotism machine, and an MMA fight with 3 rounds but no judges. In non-AEW news, the boys talk briefly about the matches from Hell in a Cell, and extensively about it's subtitles on Peacock.
The resident brothers of destruction are temporarily buried alive, so the Icelandic subgroup Patrick and Huw are in charge of creative, and bring you something a little different; a live watchalong. No edits and therefore no scandals! In theory, anyway. So rewind your VHS recording of this week's Dynamite and hit the play button together with us to get a live discussion about how Elizabeth Olsen is a better actress than her twin sisters... oh, and some wrestling chat.
The boys have that Friday feeling; unfortunately that feeling was disappointment as AEW continues its run of poor Friday shows. Jack, Tom and Patrick discuss the recent WWE releases, a big star debuts, and Tom assigns Patrick a new surname.
New Jersey Appreciation Week is postponed as the boys call a war council in response to a declaration from Cody. Offending promo aside, it was a stacked Dynamite, but did it live up to expectations? Three titles are defended and companies collide, as the stakes are set for Double or Nothing. Also, Tom announces W.A.N.K.'s first ever giveaway!
Tom and Jack are in the house for a review of AEW's take on a classic. But before they contemplate the carnage there's still plenty to talk about, including some big news about Double or Nothing, and another visit to the QT Meter™. Also, another promotion puts on an incredible MOTY contender. Who could it be? It's NJPW obviously, we're not gonna insult your intelligence.
Reunited and it feels so good. Due to some technical difficulties, the W.A.N.K team recorded late this week. On the bright side, it means Tom, Jack and Patrick's schedules aligned to bring you this episode of nothing but OGs. The lads cover an intense face-off between the Inner Circle and the Pinnacle ahead of their clash next week, lament submissions being applied in unnecessary places and finish it off with a lesson on German pornography. No prizes for guessing who was responsible for that.
