Hey Weight Loss Nation...... I'm back! www.TheWeightLossNation.com I'm over this COVID thing! I've spent the last 14 months worrying, being scared, living an emotional roller-coaster, and ... EATING! I allowed FEAR and the UNKNOWN to control my life and my actions led me down a path of destruction. I gained almost ALL the weight I lost. I allowed FEAR to open the door to negative feelings, guilt and emotional eating. I battled childhood feelings over my father, who died this past March..... and COVID was the straw that broke the camel's back! I was despondent, afraid, lost and disgusted with myself. Then....... I spoke to a friend of mine named FRANK ATKINS.  Frank is a spiritual coach, who deciphers biblical principals, in a language anyone can understand. Frank recently published his book, "Faith Without Religion." I congratulated Frank, and I told him I would purchase the book and give him a review on Amazon. When the book came, I looked at the cover and quickly flipped through the over 400 pages of text. I gave  a quick "WOW" and put the book down on my coffee table. About a week later, I was bored. I was sitting on my recliner in my living room and I saw Frank's book sitting on the coffee table. I picked up the book and started reading.  I was amazed that I was able to understand the biblical principals Frank was referring to. I was reading, I was understanding and...... I really liked it! I was learning about the Holy Spirit. Someone, I had originally thought was "something," and I had no idea what the "function" of the Holy Spirit was. As a person who was raised "Catholic," I thought the Holy Spirit was a flame of fire that came to the Apostles of Jesus on Pentecost Sunday. I thought that flame of fire was "the Holy Spirit." I spent the last 58 years of my life believing the Holy Spirit was a "flame of fire," who came to you and helped you learn a different language.  Then.... reading Frank's book, I learned that wasn't the case. I learned that the Holy Spirit was part of the Holy Trinity. God  .... showing himself in the form of a spirit, that lives inside each one of us, ready to guide us upon the asking. I realized, God had to be part of decisions in my life. Not just the big decisions, but the little..... EVERYDAY decisions I make. I needed to ASK God to guide me, to fill me with words, strength, love and faith.... to get back on my journey to a "Healthy Lifestyle."   www.TheWeightLossNation.com And just like that, I felt the Holy Spirit inside of me, in my gut...say.... get back on the Weight Loss Nation Podcast. Tell people about the Holy Spirit..... complete the triangle. That was it! I have learned what to eat... how to move my body for exercise, but I have never filled the void for my mental health. I thought I did! I thought by meditating, listening to music, reading and all the other things I used to calm me and satisfy me would work. They did work......."TEMPORARILY."  I was missing "SPIRITUAL" CLARITY. I was in control of everything in my life. I made all the decisions. I got angry at myself if things didn't work. I praised myself if things went great. But...... nothing seemed to stick "PERMANANTLY." Now.... I've found the Holy Spirit. Now.... I ask the Holy Spirit to guide me. I have given up control and put my "Faith" in the Holy Spirit. I give "thanks" to God for all the good things in my life and for giving me strength during the tough times.  I know God is a loving God. He is a merciful God. He is a God of miracles. He is a healer. God wants to give me favor and he wants me to have all good things in my life on this Earth.  God wants that for each of you too. All you have to do is BELIEVE!  Do you believe in God? Do you believe Jesus Christ was sent to this Earth to die for us, so that each of our souls would be saved? If you have faith and believe ...... you WILL have everything you ever wanted and more from God! Give God a chance! You have been running your life all this time. Have you been 100% happy with your results? If you would give God a chance and have faith in the Holy Spirit, you will see change! Change for the better! Just ASK! Ask God to awaken the Holy Spirit inside of you. Thank God for having mercy on you for all the stupid things you have done in your life. Be remorseful! Now... have FAITH and ASK the Holy Spirit to GUIDE you on your journey to a "HEALTHY LIFESTYLE." EVERY morning, Thank God for another day to do good things. Another day to CONQUER Emotional Eating, so that you can eat to just FUEL your body.  Ask the Holy Spirit to GUIDE you in eating healthy, to move your body for exercise and to PRAY by reading God's words in the Bible.  I would suggest you read Frank Atkin's book - "Faith without Religion." You will understand the scriptures so much better.  Let's walk with the Holy Spirit and allow him to GUIDE us on our healthy journey. Hey Weight Loss Nation! www.TheWeightLossNation.com How many times has "Fear" prevented you from doing something?  Fear comes in many forms. Procrastination is one form. I know....   I've "procrastinated" doing something MANY times in my life! Depression is another form of Fear. Hiding from your emotions or feelings.....because they make you feel sad, overwhelmed, anxious is another form of Fear. How do you get rid of Fear?  One way..... is "Focusing" on your Goals. One of my favorite sayings is ........ "The only obstacles you will see..... is when you take your eyes off of your goals." Think of a time in your life when you achieved a goal. How did you complete it? One reason is that you "focused" on that goal and you didn't allow "distractions" to come between you and your goal. FOCUS is extremely important when you set out to achieve your goals. Any kind of distraction.... social media, phone calls etc. will keep you away from working on your goal. Hey Weight Loss Nation! www.TheWeightLossNation.com The Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) estimates about 48 Million people get sick each year from Foodbourne Illnesses. In 2018, The U.S. Population was 327 Million People..... 48 Million People is almost 15 PERCENT of the Population! That's INSANE! Of those 48 Million People....About 128,000 people are hospitalized and around 3 THOUSAND people DIE from Foodbourne Illnesses each year in the U.S.  More and more cases of E Coli from tainted Ground Beef, are spreading nationwide.  The CDC reported on April 12, 2019, that E Coli contaminated Ground Beef was the culprit in an outbreak that crossed the borders of 6 States. That was in April.......To Date..... 196 people, from 10 Different States, have contracted the Shiga Toxin producing E Coli (STEC) strain, that causes Illness. Two types of E. coli that cause foodbourne illnesses diagnosed in the United States are Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC) and entero-toxigenic E. coli (ETEC). STEC are a group of E. coli that produce Shiga toxin. This Poison causes people to have diarrhea, which can be bloody. When you hear reports about outbreaks of E. Coli infections in the United States, they’re usually talking about a type called STEC O157. Shiga Toxin producing E. Coli was named after Japanese Physician and Bacteriologist..... Kiyoshi Shiga.  Dr. Shiga became famous for the discovery of "Shigella Dysenteriae," the organism that caused "Dysentry" in 1897, during a severe epidemic in which more than 90,000 cases were reported. "Dysentry" is an inflammatory disease of the intestine especially of the large intestine, which always results in severe diarrhea and abdominal pain.   Entero-toxigenic E. coli  (ETEC) are the leading cause of Traveler's Diarrhea, which is the most common travel-related illness. It can occur anywhere, but the highest-risk destinations in the world are in most of Asia (except for Japan) as well as the Middle East, Africa, Mexico, and Central and South America.  To date....here are The following States have reported cases of the STEC outbreak - FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MS, MN, OH, TN, VA 28 people were hospitalized and 2 cases of Hemolitic Uremic Syndrome (HUS), which is a life threatening condition which can cause kidney failure. Let's take a look at some DISGUSTING facts about E. Coli : 1. E. Coli infections happen when you EAT....."tiny" microscopic            amounts of HUMAN or ANIMAL FECES.                                            It takes about 3-5 days from the time you eat the "tainted              food," until you start to show symptoms. 2. The scary part is ....... you probably come into contact with              E.Coli more than you think you do.     The Bacteria exists "Naturally" in the environment and in the        "intestines" of Humans & Animals.     Outbreaks in "Multiple States" of E. Coli in the last 10 YEARS,          have primarily come from FOOD you bought at Grocery Stores....     Ground Beef..... Romaine Lettuce.....and even Frozen Pizza!     E. Coli comes in different strains.... and most of the strains are        Harmless. That's good news!     The STEC Strain is one of the strains of E Coli that cause people        to get very sick.     The major symptoms of STEC are:        a.  Severe Stomach Cramps        b.  Diarrhea... very watery and can contain blood.        c.  Vomiting     Sometimes..... STEC causes Urinatry Tract Infections (UTI's) ...      Respiratory Illness or Pneumonia.     A very SERIOUS effect of STEC can cause Hemolitic              Uremic Syndrome (HUS).     HUS  is a condition that results in the DESTRUCTION of            blood Platelets (Platelets are the cells that form "clots" to      stop bleeding).      HUS can cause anemia (low red blood cell count.. which          means your remaining Red Blood Cells won't have enough      "Hemoglobin" which is an iron-rich protein that helps              red blood cells carry oxygen from the lungs to the rest of        the body). This can cause you to feel tired or weak. You may also have shortness of breath, dizziness, headaches, or an irregular heartbeat.  HUS can also cause "Kidney Failure," due to the damage to the very tiny blood vessels of the kidneys. That's a Serious Problem Nation! It's hard to avoid E. Coli completely.  Here are some ways to lower your risk of infection:   a. Try not to swallow water from swimming pools, lakes, ponds and streams.   b. Avoid eating "UNPASTURIZED" Dairy Products or Juices.   c.  Cook Meat THOROUGHLY. The CDC recommends cooking Ground Beef to a temperature of 160 degrees Farinheight. There's NO QUICK CURE for Treating E. Coli Infections. Most people will recover in 5 - 10 days. You need to stay HYDRATED people!  Drink LOTS of WATER! Eat a lot of CHICKEN SOUP!  Staying HYDRATED is a Key component to Recovery. The CDC advises NOT to use "Antibiotics" as a treatment for E. Coli STEC infections..... since there is NO EVIDENCE that antibiotics are helpful with STEC....AND.....using antibiotics may INCREASE YOUR RISK of developing HUS .... Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome. www.TheWeightLossNation.com How can you prevent STEC infection? Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and running water. Follow the four steps to food safety when preparing food: Clean your hands & food surfaces often. Separate -Raw meat, Chicken, Seafood and Eggs can Spread Germs to ready-to-eat foods—unless you keep them separate. Cook  Food to the Right Temperature. Use a food thermometer to make sure meat has reached a safe minimum cooking temperature.   Chill  -  Refrigerate perishable food within 2 hours.  Bacteria can multiply rapidly if left at room temperature or in the “Danger Zone” which is between 40°F and 140°F. Never leave perishable food out for more than 2 hours (or 1 hour if it’s hotter than 90° F outside). You can’t tell whether meat is safely cooked by looking at its color. Did you know that ......One in four burgers turns brown before it has reached the safe internal temperature of 160°F.  Use a food thermometer to check that it’s safe to eat. Cook ground beef, pork, and lamb to an internal temperature of at least 160°F  Insert food thermometer into the side of the patty, to the center, to check. Cook beef steaks and roasts to an internal temperature of at least 145°F  and allow the meat to rest for 3 minutes after you remove meat from the grill or stove. Check temperature in the thickest part of steaks or roasts. Prevent cross-contamination by thoroughly washing hands, counters, cutting boards, and utensils with soap and water after they touch raw meat.  Don’t eat RAW Dough or Batter.   Take precautions with food and water when traveling abroad.       Check out the CDC site at  CDC.gov       There's an entire section on "Traveller's Health" that you can check out when travelling abroad.       Let's take a Stand Against E. Hey Weight Loss Nation! www.TheWeightLossNation.com We ALL drink water everyday.  How much do you drink in a day? Did you know YOUR Body is made up of about 60% water? Your body uses water in ALL of it's cells, tissues and organs.....to regulate body temperature.....and to maintain other body functions. Your body loses water everyday when you sweat, through digestion....and.....BREATHING! You REHYDRATE by drinking fluids and eating food with water in it. How much water you need depends on a lot of things. Do you live near Fairbanks, Alaska....where the average temperature RARELY gets over 75 degrees?  Then....you're not sweating that much.  Or....do you live near...... New Orleans?....which is the most HUMID city in the U.S......bet you thought is was Florida! I did.  if so.....you're sweating pretty much all the time and you NEED to rehydrate often. How active are you? Are you a couch potato? If so...... you're probably not going to get dehydrated.  But.....if you exercise or do physical activity for 30 minutes or more......you NEED to replenish the water you will lose by sweating AND breathing faster. It's a good idea to drink water before, during and after physical activity.  How much water Do you need to drink water when you're sick?   So….How much water do you need to drink when you’re sick? You may lose your appetite and don't want to do drink water when you're sick....a FEVER can dehydrate you and you NEED fluids to help your immune system FIGHT viruses & bacteria, while eliminating enemy cells in your phlegm! You may be vomiting or having diarreah! You can become quickly dehydrated if you’re vomiting or having diarreah. Even FASTER if you’re doing both! When your body is in balance with water, your immune system can get rid of waste, dead viruses & bacteria more easily. Also, your cells are in a state of balance & can perform the funtions they were made to do. Your kidneys will be happy, your liver will be happy ..... your Brain is CLEAR...sending out signals to ALL your cells as needed to keep you in optimal health. So drink around 64 ounces of water a day. That's right at least a GALLON of water a day! If you weigh over 200lbs. drink HALF your weight in water.  So....if you weigh 200lbs. drink 100 oz of water a day. How can you measure how much water you drink? Use a clean glass each day, measuring how much water fills the glass. If you're drinking from a 12 oz glass, you know you need to drink at least 5 glasses a day to reach 60 oz. You can also use a 24 oz BPA Free bottle. I drink 4 bottles of water a day in my water bottle, which means I'm drinking 96 oz of water a day. That makes it easier for me to keep track. If you can't stand drinking "Plain water," the easiest thing to do is "squeeze" in some fresh lemon. You could cut up some berries & add them to your water too! You could even have fresh brewed cold ice tea! Here's a quick tip! When you drink an ice cold glass of water after sweating, you force your body to BURN calories in order to bring down the temperature of the water! So......when you drink at least 64 oz of water a day....or more.....if you're sweating alot....or when you're sick....you will keep your body balanced...... Your immune system will work more efficiently....You will have more clarity....your kidneys will produce "clear" colored urine....which means your kidneys are "Happy" You'll POOP easier and your eyes & skin won't be as dry. Hey Weight Loss Nation! www.TheWeightLossNation.com Here we are at the end of March....AND....I just had an AHA moment. A BIG one! So BIG...that it has caused a "Transitional Shift" on my Weight Loss Journey. I just realized after two years....(not kidding)....that I NEVER need a "Take-Out" box, when I go out to eat. Almost everyone around me, usually takes a portion of their food home with them. NEVER me! I also started playing "pickleball." Ever heard of it? It's a combination of tennis, badmitten and ping-pong. You usually play with a partner and the court is smaller than the size of a tennis court. You also play with a plastic "wiffle" type of ball and the racquets are square! I LOVE it! Another physical activity I want to do! Well, I started playing....and after just a few games, my knees are killing me! I'm in MUCHO pain! I figured out that my body is telling me....."Diane, you are still too heavy for your joints." I NEED to lose more weight to keep the burden off my knees and ankles. How much?? I have no idea. I just know that I have to do this for my health. Hey Weight Loss Nation! www.TheWeightLossNation.com It's Tuesday.....A Tampa Bay Tuesday as a matter of fact! I'll be reviewing a local restaurant in the Tampa Bay area. For those of you vacationing in the Tampa area, or...... for those of you who live in the Tampa Bay area and are looking for a restaurant with "healthy options" on their menu, this is for YOU! Today, I'm reviewing .......... Thai Sweet Basil. A Traditional "Thai Cuisine" restaurant, that is located in the Northdale - Carollwood section of Tampa. #ThaiSweetBasil is located at 3875 Northdale Blvd, across from Whole Foods. The restaurant is owned by "Ally," who came to America 6 years ago. With a lifetime of cooking traditional Thai cuisine experience, Ally wanted to open her own "Thai" restaurant, to give the Tampa Bay area a place to go for delicious, traditional Thai food. Thai Sweet Basil won't disappoint! The decor is nothing to print a magazine article about. But...I wasn't there to review the decor. I was there to review the food! As soon as I was seated, Ally came over to my table and asked me if I had ever eaten at Thai Sweet Basil before. I told her it was my first time there and that I was excited to taste "traditional Thai" cuisine. I started with a cup of Tom Yum Goong Soup with Shrimp. The cup had a wonderful aroma, and I immediately saw fresh Basil. With mushrooms, Lemon grass, sweet shrimp and a delicate blend of fresh herbs and spices, the soup was a pleasant surprise. Great Flavor! The Tom Yum Goong Soup would be "bland" without the delicious herbs & spices.  At $4.00 for a cup of the soup, it was delicious and reasonably priced. I then tried the Pad Thai, which is an entree with thin, rice noodles, fresh scallions, eggs, ground peanuts and a flavorful "Tamarin" sauce. Nice flavor! Next was the Red Curry with Chicken. The chicken was grilled, cooked to perfection and covered in a delicious red curry sauce. The entree comes with bamboo shoots, bell peppers in a coconut milk based sauce. Fresh Basil finishes off this yummy entree. I LOVE curry, and this item hits the mark! My server asked me how I wanted the entree prepared..... mild, hot, very hot or volcanic hot! I LOVED that! I asked for "mild" temperature and that's exactly what I received. What I LOVE about Thai Sweet Basil, is the fresh herbs and ingredients they use. All items are made "to order," and they use FRESH herbs daily! What's the difference between Herbs & Spices you ask?? Herbs come from the green, leafy part of the plant. That Basil Leaf that was on my Red Curry and in my soup, was a fresh, green leaf with the most beautiful aroma. Spices come from many different parts of the plant. They can come from the root of the plant, the stem, the seed, flower..... or even teh Bark of the tree or plant. Spices are usually dried. Coriander is the seed of the plant, which is sold as "ground" coriander or....as a whole seed. Dried and whole spices hold their flavor longer than herbs. Fresh herbs are best to serve the same day. REVIEW: For the Delicious flavor and aroma of all the items I tried, along with the superior attention I received from the staff.... Thai Sweet Basil gets a huge "3 Avocados." Congratulations! For all of you....I have a special recipe to warm you right up! Crockpot Southwest Chicken & Beans Ingredients 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast 1 15oz can of pinto beans 1 15oz can of black beans 2 28oz cans of Diced Tomatoes in juice 1 lb frozen organic corn 1 12oz jar of salsa (no sugar added)   Instructions 1. Place the Chicken Breasts on the bottom of the crockpot. 2. Pour the Tomatoes and Salsa over the Chicken. 3. Pour the Beans and Corn over the Chicken. 4. Cook on LOW for 5-7 hours.... until the chicken falls apart when you stir the pot. 5. The Holiday season is cranking. Today, I’m going to be speaking to you about the COLOR of your Poop. That’s right….the COLOR of your Poop. It’s important to know about what the color of your Poop means. We all are familiar with the shades of Brown Poop. The oh-so-familiar brown poop. Brown Poop is NORMAL! But…….what about the other colors Poop can be? Let’s take a look at some other colors your Poop may be.   Yellow If you see that your Poop has some shades of Yellow, you may have eaten a meal that was extremely high in fat. Yellow Poop could also mean your intestine is not absorbing nutrients properly. You could also have Celiac Disease or another Digestive issue. Call your Doctor if you see Yellow Poop more than one time.   White, Pale or Clay colored Poop Your Bile Duct could be blocked or you may not be producing enough Bile. If you see White Mucos on top of the Brown colored stool, this could be normal or …….. it could also be a sign of a Crohn’s Disease Flare-Up. Crohn’s Disease can cause ulcers in your intestine, which causes an over production of mucus. The mucus may be present in your stool. If you see Mucus in your stool every once in awhile, that could be normal. But……if you see Mucus in your stool more than once in a while, you should contact your Doctor. If you have whitish, bland looking Poop…….Combined with Abdominal Pain, Fever with or without vomiting…..You should seek medical attention right away! That could be a sign of Appendicittis….or some other type of serious digestive issue.   Green A little Green color in your Poop……is just fine. If you see very Green Poop…you may have eaten lots of Green Vegetables……OR……you could be passing your stool too quickly  through your intestine, which means the Bile is unable to break down the fats properly. Certain Infections …..like those caused by the Bacterium – Salmonella or the parasite “Giardia,” can cause your stool to be green in color.  If you haven't eaten anyting "Green" and you see Green Poop, Contact your Doctor.   Black If you have taken “Iron” tablets…..or……you have taken “Pepto Bismol,” you’ll likely see “Black” colored Poop…..which is a harmless side effect. If there was a time you were having an emotional overload and you gave in and ate a bag of Oreo’s……you may possibly see Black colored Poop. So……if you ate Dark Brown or Black Colored foods…..you may see Black Poop. But……if your Poop is Black, which has a more liquidy and “Tarry” looking Stool consistency.... and has a strong smell……This is a sign of bleeding in your gastrointestinal system and you should call your Doctor ASAP.   Red If you had Beets with Dinner or you drank a glass of Tomato Juice last night, you may see the color “Red” in your Poop. If you see Redish colored Poop and you DID NOT eat Red colored food or drinks, you could be Bleeding! You could have Hemorrhoids, colon polyps or Anal Fissures. Anal Fissures are small tears in the lining of your Anus, which are caused by straining during a bowel movement. You are literally trying to pass a large, hard stool and it may cause tearing of the lining. If you have large amounts of blood in your stool or you see a large amount of blood in the toilet, you may require immediate Medical attention. Contact your Doctor.   Eating foods with colored “Dye” may cause your Poop to have that color in it. Be aware of what you have eaten and start noticing the color of your Poop!   After the holidays is a great time to “Cleanse” your colon!   A simple….yet effective way to do that is by drinking TEA! Whether you are hosting Thanksgiving at your house or you're visiting family & friends, I have the perfect dish for you to make for dessert that everyone will enjoy. If you "Plan" out what you are going to eat on Thanksgiving Day, you will "Enjoy" yourself and still maintain "control" of what you eat. Call and find out what is on the "menu" for Thanksgiving. Write down what you are going to eat. If you want to have stuffing, then have it! Just "control" how much of the stuffing you are going to eat. I'm going to have ONE Healping Tablespoon of Stuffing. I'm going to have ONE Heaping Tablespoon of Sweet Potato Casserole and I'm going to fill up on Turkey and vegetables. Then...for dessert...You'll be bringing it!  Don't worry about ANY other Dessert that is on the table. Don't even look at it. You are bringing a DELICIOUS Baked Apple Pie without the Crust! A healthier, Yummy Dessert. Everybody is going to LOVE this Dessert!   BAKED APPLE PIE WITHOUT THE CRUST  Baked cinnamon apples are a fall and winter favorite, but you can enjoy them all year! Traditional recipes use sugar. To cut down on calories, this recipe offers an alternative: Stevia Leaf Extract. At 100 calories, each serving is comparable to one fresh Granny Smith apple — the spices and flavorings add extra flavor….not calories! Ingredients 8 medium Granny Smith apples 2 tbsp cinnamon 2 tsp nutmeg 3 tbsp Stevia®                                                                            Water to coat bottom of dish The stevia plant belongs to the Asteraceae family and is a cousin of daisies and ragweed. As with many plants, there are different species. The species of stevia that is used to sweeten food (and that’s also been used medicinally for hundreds of years) is called Stevia rebaudiana. It’s native to South America, but it’s also grown in Asia. Stevia gets its sweetness from two chemicals: stevioside and rebaudioside  The “stevia” that you see today on the grocery shelves contains a leaf extract of the stevia plant called rebaudioside A (also known as reb A or rebiana). Rebiana is about 200–400 times sweeter than regular sugar. Currently, it’s used in packet sweeteners for drinks,in many food products, and for baking. One packet of a stevia-based sweetener contains about 0–1 calorie, and about 1–4 grams of carb, depending on the brand.  The brand I’m using today is called “Pie-yure” and it contains about 0 cal and 1 gram of carbs in 2 Tblspoons. The appeal of these stevia-based sweeteners,is that they’re derived from a plant, not concocted in a lab. But to say that these sweeteners are completely natural or unprocessed is NOT accurate, because the rebiana is extracted from the stevia leaf using chemicals.  So……Stevia Leaf Extract comes from the Stevia Leaf…..which is a plant. It’s NOT concocted in a lab….so, I’m using it. I bought the Organic Stevia at Sprouts. You can find it in your local health food store or buy it on Amazon. The ingredients are – Organic Stevia Leaf Extract and Maltodextrin. Maltodextrin is used as a thickener, filler or preservative in many processed foods. It's a white powder that can be taken from any starch, most commonly made from corn, rice, potato starch or wheat. Although maltodextrin comes from natural foods, it's still processed. To make things “Taste” Sweet and “Good,” that DOES NOT come off a tree or out of the ground….It’s going to be processed. This recipe calls for a small amount of Stevia Leaf Extract. If you can eat these Yummy Apples without adding more “sugar” don’t add the Stevia Leaf Extract. I can do it…..but…..I know many of you out there Nation….can not do that Today. I get it. If you “Need” SWEET right now while you are on your long-term lifestyle journey…..add the Stevia Leaf Extract. If you don’t need SWEET. Don’t add the Stevia. We good? OK….let’s make some baked apples for Thanksgiving! INSTRUCTIONS 1.    Heat oven to 350 degrees. 2.    Slice apples into 8 wedges each and place in a baking dish or pie dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, and Stevia Leaf Extract. Mix so that all apples are coated. Place a small amount of water in the dish (about 1/4 in). Mix well. 3.    Bake apples uncovered for 30 minutes or until apples are soft and break apart easily. 4. Serve "hot" in a bowl.   Homemade Whipped Cream Ingredients 2 tablespoons Stevia Leaf Extract 1 cup heavy whipping cream Directions: Place a metal mixing bowl and metal whisk into the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes. Place the Stevia Leaf Extract into the mixing bowl and add the whipping cream. Whisk just until the cream reaches stiff peaks. Store any unused portion in an airtight container for up to 10 hours. When ready to use, rewhisk for 10 to 15 seconds. Nutritional information Serves   6-8 Serving size: 1 apple Total calories: 150 Total fat: 1 g Saturated fat: 0 g Sodium: 0 mg Carbohydrate: 30 g Fiber: 6 g Sugars: 19 g Protein: 1 g I want each of you to have a Joyful Thanksgiving! Hey Weight Loss Nation! The Weight Loss Nation https://Shop.TotalLifeChanges.com/34605577/products I'm going to be talking about "pooping" and detoxing your intestine today. It's very important to "poop." Your body excretes excess waste, toxins, fats and bacteria from your body.  I asked my Doctor how often should I be "pooping." She told me everybody poops differently. My doctor also told me the average cycle of "pooping" is from 3 times a day down to once every 3 days. "Pooping" improves your digestive health. Today and next week we are going to be talking.... a lot....about "Poop." I've always had problems "pooping." I suffered all my life with constipation. I use to EAT a lot of processed foods.....fatty foods.....and I EAT a "large amount" of food. These are some ways that cause constipation. Being Pre-Diabetic or having Diabetes can also cause Constipation. Since I started living a long-term healthy lifestyle TWO years ago.....I improved my "constipation" problem.  NOW.... I wanted to improve the frequency of my "pooping." Improve YOUR Frequency of Pooping! I "fit" into the "normal" range of "pooping" my Doctor told me about,  but I wasn't happy being near the end of that range. I started looking into "pooping" and how I could improve the frequency of my "pooping." I wasn't looking for a "fast" or "quick" way to fix my "pooping" problem. The "Fast" way to do things never works. Just like a "Diet" doesn't work.....either does a "quick fix" for pooping. I needed to look into another "lifestyle" change. So.....I started researching "pooping" and how I could increase the frequency of pooping naturally. Mother Nature is awesome! She doesn't make any mistakes Nation! There are plants, trees, herbs, fruits and vegetables for all kinds of ailments. I read about all kinds of "Colon Detoxing." There are sooo many "quick fixes" out there Nation! I wanted an "everyday......natural cleansing, natural detoxification, bringing my body into a balanced state." I wanted to assist my intestine with it's natural functions. I miss seeing the leaves change color, but the pictures I have stored in my memory are serving me well, while I live in Florida. The fall also brings up fond memories of my grand-mother cooking pumpkin and squash this time of year.  Butternut Squash is soooo good for you! Here are some incredible healthy reasons to eat Butternut Squash: #1.   1 Cup of Butternut Squash has about 500mg of Potassium, which helps lower your blood pressure. #2.   1 Cup also contains about 7 gms of Fiber, which will prevent constipation and maintain a healthy digestive tract by supporting the "good bacteria" in your gut. #3.   Butternut squash is loaded with vitamin A—one cup of squash has over 350 percent of the recommended daily allowance , which is important for healthy eyesight.     #4.    Manganese is also in Butternut Squash, which helps your body maintain healthy bones.  #5.   With half of the daily required dose of Vitamin C contained in one cup, you may have fewer wrinkles in your face. A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition examined links between vitamin C and skin aging in over 4,000 women aged 40-74, and found that higher intakes of vitamin C were linked to a lower likelihood of wrinkles and dryness of the skin. Your belly will feel full and YOU will FEEL happy!   Make Me Happy Soup Makes about 4-6 Servings Ingredients 4  Medium Sweet Potatoes 2  can of White “Great Northern” Beans (15-16oz) rinsed good. 3   cans of Diced Tomatoes (no salt added) 1 Tbls. of Mrs. Dash Southwest Chipotle Seasoning Blend (No bad salt in Mrs. Dash) 2  Cup of Diced Peppers (I use Red. Use Green if you want) 1 ½  Tbls of Minced Garlic Paste (Amore – 3.02 oz tube in most stores) 2   32 oz container of Kitchen Basics low sodium chicken broth 2  package of fresh or frozen diced butternut squash (15-16oz each) 1  Cup of Raw, hulled Pumpkin Seeds 1  Cup of Raw, Organic Peanut Butter……I use “Once Again” Brand. The ingredients in Once Again Creamy Peanut Butter are……. Peanuts & Salt.       Instructions Peel sweet potatoes, cut into small cubes and put into the crock pot. Add the beans, tomatoes, peppers, seasoning, garlic paste & broth into the crock pot. Cook on high for 2 ½ - 3 hours or low for 4 -6 hrs, until the sweet potatoes are tender. Stir in the butternut squash the last 30 minutes of cooking time. Chop up the pumpkin seeds or put in a mini-chopper like I do. Stir into stew. Remove 1 Cup of the liquid from slow cooker when done and put in a bowl. Put the Peanut Butter into the bowl of liquid and stir or whisk until blended. Stir the Peanut Butter mixture back into the stew. Serve 2 Cups into your favorite cup or bowl. Add  ½ teaspoon of Sea Salt EAT and FEEL HAPPY!  It’s hard to say how many calories you’ll be eating, since I don’t know how many beans or other ingredients will be in your cup while you  eat it. Let’s play it safe and make an estimate of about  300-400  calories per 2 cup serving. I’ll tell you one thing……This is a Healthy & Happy Stew…..so don’t waste your time worrying about the calories in this Happy Stew! Freeze leftover stew in One Cup or Two Cup containers….so you’ll be able to defrost and eat this “Feel Good” Soup whenever you need it! hey ... you said a few times that IRS doesnt call people. that's not exactly accurate; if you get a call from IRS, many are fake so if you're nervous/concerned, go to their website, get their 800# and call in to see if there's an issue for you. avoidance can lead to worse problems. just dont call that number left behind in case it is a fake!!!!! it's ok to be concerned and IRS knows people are being scammed.
