You don't ask someone you love (Jon) to hide who they really are to obtain the throne you want to be yours. Ultimately, Dany betrayed herself more than anyone else did.
Faceless men can take faces of non dead people too. Jaqen took Arya's face before. Littlefinger paid off that girl to take his face so he could escape winterfell.
