I knew I had to get Carl back in the studio to spread some joy among us. Carl has already begun to decorate for Christmas and boy is he excited for that. Carl is as genuine of a person as you can get, and an absolute joy to be around. Everywhere Carl goes he's wearing a smile and it's impossible to be in a bad mode around the guy. Thank You Carl for being such a wonderful person and adding some happiness and light to our life. This episode is sponsored by Backroads of Appalachia. Promoting economic growth through Motorports. We are very thankful to have BOA as a sposnor of the Podcast. If you would like to sponsor the WUW Podcast please contact Danny at 606-658-1101 or by e-mail at whatsupworld01@yahoo.com
Andrea is back in the studio to tell us about her near-death experience and her brush with God. The story starts out lighthearted enough, but you will quickly hear a much different tone in her voice. Parts of this story was very hard for her to tell and some tears were shed. Thank you for listening. Remember that the Podcast now has an e-mail address and phone number. Please use either of those to contact Danny and tell your story. 606-658-1101 whatsupworld01@yahoo.com This episode is sponsored by A&J Deals in Sand Gap KY. Carrie came on the Podcast hoping that her story of domestic violence could help someone else dealing with an abusive partner. Carrie's story was hard to hear, and I cannot imagine how hard it was for her to tell. Her tears tell just how much hurt and pain she was in, but they are also a reminder of a time long passed by. If you or someone you know are in an abusive relationship, please contact Danny at the What's up World studio via phone or e-mail and he will put in contact with someone who can help get you out of that situation. cell-606-658-1101 e-mail-whatsupworld01@yahoo.com This episode of WUW is sponsored by Backroads of Appalachia. Podcast update!

2023-10-0120:33

This is just a quick update on a few changes happening with the Podcast.
In the studio today were some of the folks involved with the Jackson County Creative Community, Lori Tincher, Lynetta Hunter, Zleah Vaughn and Greg Isaacs came on the Podcast to let everyone know that they see the talent that is in our community, and we all want you to display it with pride. Jackson County has a multitude of talented artists that work in all mediums and this group is here to help you showcase your art. The Jackson County Creative Community want to make it as seamless and effortless as possible to get your artwork out there and available to those who appreciate it. That is why they are in the process of creating a website that will allow Artists to submit photos of said art and also set up a process to have a seller account on some of the most popular websites out there. The folks at J.C.C.C. want you know that art is what you want it to be and not want someone else thinks it should be. Art is defined as: The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination. Whatever your imagination can create is as much art as the Mona Lisa because it comes from within yur creative expression. And that Ladies and Gentlemen is a beautiful thing. Please give the J.C.C.C. a visit on their Facebook page using the link below. Thank You very much. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1185563439041896/ This episode is proudly sponsored by the folks at Whistle Stop Express. We are greatly appreciative of these fine people. Don't forget to call, text or e-mail us and give us ideas for the show, your opinion on a topic, wish someone a Happy Birthday or whatever you want to say. This was a rough one ladies and gentlemen. Mickie Bowman is in the studio to honor her Daughter Jessica who passed due to Fentanyl poisoning on August 24, 2022. You can feel the pain and loss in her voice, and when Jessica's Son Bryden speaks about his Mother I lost all control of my emotions. Drugs are such a huge problem in our society and unfortunately, they may very well be forever. This Podcast has brought you the perspective of the recovering addict, the Family of the addicted, and now those that suffered the loss of Family. If you or someone you know is suffering with addiction, please contact Danny at the What's up World using the number or e-mail below. I've known Ron for many years but I've never had the opportunity to sit down and talk with him. It got pretty intense right off the bat. Ron talks of battling his demons caused by trauma in his early life and ultimately being cleansed of that trauma with the help of his Wife and Jesus Christ. Later in the Podcast I also found out that Ron is also very hilarious, and he kept me laughing throughout the interview. HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!

Well folks the world is trying it's best to go crazy again. This episode is meant just to put the emphasis on the power of the people and unfortunately the incredible lack of knowledge and common sense. I urge you to do your own research and you can make up your own minds. The truth is out there folks. FIND IT!!
Michael and I sit down once again and talk about therapy and what it is to us. Michael and Danny both hit each other with some cold hard facts about the world and have a few mind blowing instances in this episode. Also, Michael and Danny brainstorm on an idea they have about a new series they want to do involving the Podcast. Let us know what you think of the guys series idea they mentioned in this episode?

Ashley came on the WUW Podcast to be perfectly clear and very blunt about her addiction. That in itself is very admirable. She talks of how hard it is living in a rural community and dealing with the stares, and the comments made by those who seem that they have never made a mistake in life. Losing her Family and doing all that she can to win back her children's trust is her main focus in life, as well as her sobriety. Ashley's organization Sling Some Hope is growing, and all is welcome at her monthly events. If you need to be heard, the Sling Some Hope events is where you want to be. I want to personally thank Ashley for having the courage to come on the Podcast and share her story. These are true success stories of the upmost importance and so many people can grow from hearing them. We as humans need to do better in life. We must do better to encourage and not to discourage. "Let He who is without Sin cast the first stone" John 8:7
Ashley Lynn and Hermena of A&J Deals are sponsors of this Podcast, but they are not here to discuss that. Both Ashley and Hermena are both stricken with having dealt or currently dealing with a loved one who is suffering from addiction. This episode points out that it is not just the addict who suffers, it is the friends and Family who suffer along with them. These amazing Ladies should be commended for having the courage to speak so openly about this. Ashley talks of having to exclude all of her siblings except one from her life because of their addictions, as well as the struggle her mother dealt with in addiction. Hermena speaks about the ongoing battle with her Sister. Not knowing what to do and how having to make hard choices is a constant in her life. Please join us in this amazing conversation.
