Today on What's My Frame? I'm joined by Actor, Director & Producer Jason George. You likely know Jason from playing Ben Warren on GREY'S ANATOMY & STATION 19 the last eleven years. Today on Whats My Frame? I'm joined by Casting Director and teacher Caroline Liem. For over 20 years Caroline has cast studio features, independent films, television and pilots for Paramount, Twentieth Century Fox, Disney Studios, Sony, Warner Bros, Nick Jr, ABC, CBS, NBC, The CW and FOX. Caroline has worked alongside some of today's most prominent casting directors producers and directors including Ryan Murphy, Lauren Shuler Donner, David Goyer, Bryan Singer & Michael Robin. She served as Head of Casting for the award-winning late night show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”.  But that's not all, Caroline's eclectic resume includes video games as well like Assassin’s Creed III and Far Cry. Her background as a musician and singer, progressing to actor and casting director, provided Caroline with a firm foundation in the industry. Part of a casting director’s job is to uncover the truth of an actor’s work and elevate their potential! Caroline decided the best way to help actors was by sharing her insight and technique, her acclaimed program BOOM THE ROOM was born! All artists have dreams. Stu shares his story and creative journey, from a young student with loads of creativity and imagination, to his time at USC where he earned his MFA in film. He later returned to the USC campus teaching filmmaking for over ten years. Stu is an excellent example of working hard, knowing what you don't know, being willing to learn and coming back to create opportunities at home. His highly successful film RUST CREEK currently streaming on Netflix, was filmed in his home state of Kentucky. Stu has also produced countless projects outside the bluegrass stage. Today on Whats's My Frame? I'm joined by casting legend Pat McCorkle! With strong roots in theater and directing, a flair for the unexpected, and tireless perseverance, Pat has left her mark on casting! Raised in central New Jersey, Pat began working in theater during high school. After graduating from Douglass College, she went on to NYU to earn a graduate degree in theater education, with a focus on directing. She was invited by Alan Wasser to join New York's legendary Broadway theater, The Circle in the Square. Pat quickly found herself drawn to casting and the rest as they say is history! She moved to TCG, a non-profit casting clearing house for theaters around the country. During her tenure there, she ran the National Student Auditions. She began working with every major regional theater in the United States and Canada; forging relationships and pipelines to new talent which continue to this day, and established her as a new force on the national theater scene. With Pat's influence in theater firmly established, she branched out into film and television, where she quickly established her company McCorkle Casting. Today on What's My Frame? I'm joined by Emmy nominated Casting Director and Animation Voiceover Coach Sara Jane Sherman.  Today Sara shares a wealth of insight into the animation world! Everything from improving your demos, to starting your journey into animation and voice acting. How to improve your home recording setup and auction quality in the modern age of casting.  I first had the joy of meeting Sara a few years ago through the SAG-AFTRA Foundation. Talking with her it quickly becomes clear Sara is an actor's advocate as well as a creative that truly loves her job! She is currently casting LOONEY TUNES CARTOONS for Warner Bros Animation; casting and voice directing THE CUPHEAD SHOW for Netflix and TIG N SEEK for Cartoon Network. She recently worked on JELLYSTONE, MEGASTORE MUTTS, LUNCH GREEN; as well as two projects for Nickelodeon Animation and 5 Cartoon Network shorts. The majority of Sara's casting career was at Disney Television Animation, where she spent 12 years learning how to cast an animated series from top to bottom. She was the Executive Director of Casting and Talent Relations before leaving in 2017. Today on What's My Frame? I'm joined by casting director and owner of ASG Casting Arlene Schuster-Goss. Arlene found her way to casting via NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in Film and finding a hidden talent for working with talent on rock documentaries in New York. Arlene has over 2,000 credits to her name, and her resume is only matched by her warmth and respect for actors! When the time came to open her own office ASG Casting in Los Angeles, she used the opportunity to set a new precedent in casting. I'm sure many of you have stopped to Instagram the famous sign outside their door... "You are 1 of 36 actors chosen for your role today. You were selected from a pool of 600 - 3,000 submissions..." Today on What's My Frame? I'm joined by costume designer Joseph La Corte. I have admired Joseph's beautiful work for years, and after spending an afternoon on Zoom with him I am blown away by his warmth and stories. Prepare yourself, for hands down the best first job story in history!! Talk about being thrown into the deep end and handling it style and grace! All while landing on his feet mind you... pun intended, you'll see.  From period and fantasy costumes, to contemporary clothing, Joseph brings his fine-tuned attention to detail and unbridled enthusiasm for design to every project! As he puts it he's a very lucky man, but to see Joseph's work on some of the most iconic shows on television including the critically acclaimed FX series Fosse/Verdon, countless HBO series including The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire and Divorce, it's quite clear to see luck may have been involved, but Joseph's talent is what kept him at the forefront of his industry. One of Joseph's other notable credits is Saturday Night Live, today he shares rare behind the scenes stories from New York's most iconic show. Joseph's film credits are just as impressive,  contributing his expertise to the Academy award willing film Three Billboards Outside of  Ebbing, Missouri, All the Kings Men, Sex and the City 2, and School of Rock to just name a few.  Whether the project calls for a modern sensibility, or an interpretation of the past, Joseph brings a true sense of authenticity and a painstaking eye for detail to every costume he designs.
