Holy shit! Your son is seriously intelligent! You usually don't hear that level of comprehension and sentence structure from a 5th grader let alone a 1st. Sounds like he's going to skip grades and graduate by the time he's 12.
I wish I was interviewed for this book. I've read it 6 times and listened to it over 3 dozen times. Probably my favorite book. If you don't have the time, listened to the audio book read by Wil Wheaton, who crushes it in bringing the book to life! You will really enjoy it.
