What About Now?

Back after a long break, we kick off the campaign season with our very own What About Now? show rally! We discuss months worth of current events, including the Black Lives Matter protests, COVID19, recent Supreme Court decisions, and the Russian bountygate scandal. Plus, a massive In Memoriam segment. We close with some funny home improvement stories!

After almost 3 months off, we're back with a discussion of events from 3 weeks ago! There's a current events lightning round, and a salute to Mitt Romney's impeachment vote. After a long break, we return just in time for Trump's impeachment! The show was recorded just a few minutes after the impeachment vote, so we open with an impeachment discussion for our Trending Topic segment. Plus, the In Memoriam segment leads to an in-depth review of Steve Martin's work, as well as a secret from Darin's past. In addition, we cover Ted's recent trips to Memphis and Chicago, and Darin leads a discussion on internet streaming habits in our By the Numbers segment. Finally, we close with the long-delayed story of Ted's stressful visits to the DC Wharf!

This post-Mueller-testimony episode begins with a discussion of the "disgusting rat-infested mess" known as Maryland's 7th district, AKA where Ted lives, and then meanders through discussions of white privilege and presidential racism. Also, a story about the BRAT diet takes a dark turn, we check online to see if Darin was a victim of the Equifax data breach, and we highlight a wedding that Darin and Ted both attended. Plus, a long In Memoriam segment, along with the new Awkward Celebrity Encounter segment. We end with a quick story about driving with a sleeping child, and a super-fast Trending Topic segment.

From the Democratic debates to the border crisis, politics take center stage in this episode! We also discuss the major SCOTUS rulings, leading to a radical proposal to reshape the electoral map. Finally, we close with Darin's strange car noise and Ted's preparation for a weekend by himself.

This episode is the post-Avengers:Endgame episode, with a brief spoiler-free review, and a discussion of Darin's attempts to avoid spoilers and the resulting bet between the hosts. Plus, the brand new Follow-Up segment includes a discussion of the recent Sri Lankan bombings and talk of sacrifice for the greater good. If all that wasn't enough, we close the show with dueling stories of Darin's trip to Disney and Ted's trip to Fort Lauderdale.

Recorded before the release of the Mueller report, this episode has the hosts discussing the Attorney General's 4-page non-summary. But while everyone is now talking about the redacted Mueller report, we discuss the secret unredacted version! It's our long-delayed post-election episode, recorded in late November but unpublished until now due to circumstances beyond our control. We also explore our respective Thanksgiving adventures in New Jersey and at EPCOT, and have In Memoriam, Weird Science, and Asian Domination segments. We wrap things up with a report on Ted's vasectomy.

It's right before Halloween, and we briefly take a serious tone as we try to get our heads around all of the mass shootings, but quickly return to the comedy for our new Asian Domination segment. We close things out with a long discussion of cleaning an ailing mother-in-law's house, which leads to a joke repeat, as well as our new Manilow Rants segment.
