Weekly Premier League reviews and talking absolute 💩 about football. We don't claim to be experts...
21 Episodes
Reverse
With Man City and Liverpool drawing 2 all the chance of the quadruple is still on for the Scouse, however much Jay dislikes the idea, and a City treble also still possible. The lads discuss this result along with the results at the bottom of the table where things seem to have stabilised a little and it almost looks like we can finally cement in the top 4 and bottom 3 teams..... almost
WE ARE BACK. With the Premier League finally back in full swing Jay and Rob decided to give themselves one more weeks rest from the Sixty Second Summaries and just as well with Brentford and Spurs scoring 9 goals between them and the relegation battle pulling teams back into its warzone again.
Episode 19 is another Premier League-less week so Jay decided to have a political debate about football and of course he added in his usual Man United rant.... It just doesnt seem right without it!
As the title suggests, just a short episode this week with only 4 Premier League games to discuss. There was also the quarter finals of the FA Cup which the lads have a little chat about and there was NO rant from Jay about Man United (mainly because they didn't play) although that didn't stop Rob from trying to wind him up.
ITS GONE... THEY'VE LOST IT. The sixty second summaries took a beating this week with both lads overshooting the time limits. 9 Games to review, one to preview, 22 goals and a reminiscent Jay boasting his penalty conversion ability, which Rob swiftly moves on from sees the lads finish episode 17 on a high. Dont forget to review and get in touch if you fancy being Guest number 1 on the "What Do We Know Podcast"
As the united song goes 🎶"Dont go out tonight, unless you're red and white"🎶. Well United fans will be red in the face or white as ghosts after their latest demolition by the blue side of the City. But dont worry, we got Jay straight on to record the podcast so he didnt have too much time to dwell on it... Not that it saved us from the rants though! With 29 goals across 9 games up to recording Episode 16 (and 34 across all 10 now that Spurs have smashed Everton) there was no shortage of talking points this week. Including Liverpool trying to get fans to pay for a bitta maintenance around the stadium with a controversial technique of paving a pathway.
Episode 15 sees the lads discuss the all Premier League Carabao Cup Final clash... not so briefly. Jay went on a rant... for a change. And with two of the top three teams not in League action the lads focussed their attention on the bottom half of the table, the possible relegation fodder and the teams being dragged back into the fight for survival.
Results at both ends of the table sent ripples through the league, not least to shake up the lads predictions and throw the predicted winners and relegation fodder back into the mix. Jay and Rob speak a lot of numbers this week. 7, 8, 34..... are they talking football stats or lotto numbers? Whether its RL or the ball boy you'll have to listen to find out...
13 may be unlucky for some but the lads believe its football fans that are currently unlucky with the way the rules are being interpreted. Is anyone else sick of not knowing what way a handball or foul will turn out once the rules and VAR interact? Episode 13 sees Jay and Rob reviewing Premier League Games again (finally) and discussing the other footballing topics you think about too!
Episode 12 at least managed to find 1 Premier League game. for the lads to discuss.... However uneventful. But the FA cup threw up enough talking points including some VARy interesting views from Jay and Rob and its not clear if anyone is right or wrong. Basically they're saying they see why mistakes are made... But mistakes still should not be made... Why don't you decide?
Just like the title suggests there was no Premier League football this week, so we have to settle for Rob's Rumour Round Up, reviewing the lads earlier League predictions, and Jay gets upset about how impressed he is with the Liverpool scouting policy
In honour of episode 10 the Premier League kindly agreed to allow all 10 games to go ahead in our honour (**Disclaimer - Definitely not in our honour**) Episode 10 is the first 10 match game week in over a month. Plenty of talking points, VAR involvement and non footballing game delays coupled with poor fan behaviour that soured multiple games, but at least theres FA Cup to look forward to next week..... 😩
Episode 9 finds two more games become casualties of COVID with AFCON and injuries wreaking havoc... But it seems no one told Leeds United. Jay and Rob sum up this weeks games, give updates on transfer news, Rob finally seems to get the hang of the Sixty Second Summaries and Jay needs a bit of a geography lesson... Dont forget to get in touch if you want to join the lads and discuss your teams performance
Episode 8 leaves the lads on a break from the Premier League for a round of the FA Cup 🙄. With that being said there was still a lot to discuss with 2 Premier League Teams eliminated by lower league opposition and a round up of rumours and movers in the transfer market. Dont forget to contact the lads on social media once you find out why they named this episode "What Do YOU Know?"
Despite there being 26 goals from the 8 games unaffected by COVID this weekend, goalkeepers are what the lads seem to dwell the longest on this week. With as many on field talking points as off field for the first episode of 2022, Jay and Rob discuss all this weeks games as well as the latest Lukaku outburst and whether or not the chasing pack have the ability to reel in City by the end of the season.
Lets be honest, this time of year is for spending time with family & friends, eating and drinking..... Not listening to the lads shite on about the St. Stephens Day games. So Jay and Rob decided to do an entire episode of Sixty Second Summaries. Short and sweet and some predictions to round out the day.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our listeners
Episode 5 falls on a 4 match game week as Premier League teams are hit hard with COVID cases leading to game postponements. The four games left still gave the lads more than enough talking points even if the most important ones may have been influenced too heavily by VAR. The winner of the Premier League Jersey competition is also announced, but how long will you have to listen before you hear who won???
Episode 4 finds Jay and Rob nursing hangovers after the Lads Christmas Day out but this didn't stop them from chatting about all 9 games this week, which included 20 goals and 8 penalties. As well as discussing two Captains who are on opposite ends of the respectability scale, even if the better of the two made a silly mistake this week that cost his team...
Week 3 starts the run in to Christmas with 🎶🎵24 goals, 9 games so far, 5 very late goals, 2 unexpected scorers and the leaders dropping points in London🎵🎶
Episode 2 sees a 9 match game week reviewed with 2 high scoring games, 2 nil all draws but no lack of entertainment and the change in the weather having a say in more than just the Burnley v Spurs game
