"Better Late than Never" written by DJ MacKinnon
"Better Late Than Never is a story I wrote as part of a collection of poems, stories, and random thoughts that I continue adding to called Covid Diary.
The first death in Canada from Covid 19 occurred in a seniors home close to me, in North Vancouver. Whenever I drove past it I couldn’t help imagining the people who were sick and dying, alone in their rooms without family close-by and it made me want to write about it."

"Her Grandson, The Fish" written by Noah Kenny
"How does one get on in the world? "Her Grandson, The Fish" is a speculative story with a metaphysical bend. The concept of being, simply existing and making choices is too much for this young man. He can't take it anymore. His grandmother wants to help, but has no idea where to start. It's okay, though; he knows something that will change everything."

"Impoverished Wealth: Damon Maker" written by Jake Cavanah
"Damon Maker is a twenty-something who is the only son of one of the world's wealthiest families. Tragedy has struck the Maker family in the past, but its riches continued to grow exponentially. On the surface, Damon possesses everything a young man can want. He doesn't have the burden of driving himself around. He resides in a mansion most people cannot even dream of. He is set to inherit his father's multibillion-dollar corporation. Despite all of his life's luxuries, his relationships with most of his family members are severely strained. When Damon discovers what a handful of them are conspiring to do, he goes to extreme lengths to prevent their selfish aspirations from coming to fruition. Taking aim at members of his own family does not cause him to ease up on the repercussions he feels they deserve. In fact, because they are his family members, Damon believes they should face the worst possible punishment for their involvement in a scheme to overthrow everything the Makers built."

"Helen" written by Athena Grey
"The story of Helen of Sparta/Helen of Troy, who could not choose her own home. Even when she was old enough to do so. Who was not allowed to make her own choices. Even when she was wise enough to do so. Who had to lose so many things that it was almost everything. Even what could have been her only chance at true love. Who persevered despite all that. Who lived the most famous story in all of Greek Mythology, but no one ever heard her voice. This is her story, by her perspective."

"Old Trinkets, New Friends" written by J.K.Taylor
"The story begins in a backwater town where a jaded but hungry and skilled warlock finds himself seeking shelter from a hot summer's day rain in an, unbeknownst to him, needful things shop. Inside he senses the presence of horridly powerful magic. The warlock eventually finds the source of this power and his need for it forces him to barter and trade with the shop owner to give up the thing he desires. This chance encounter sets the tone for the rest of the series and all the adventure and mystique that follows."
