Evan Stewart is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and venture consultant with a knack for growing people-oriented, profit-rich organizations. A firm believer in leaving individuals and companies better than they were found, his mission is simple: to create a world in which people are inspired by their potential, motivated by their progress, and fulfilled through their life’s work. His adventurous spirit is fed through rock climbing, hiking, and exploring remote parts of the world. When he is not in the Rocky Mountains or leading his companies, Evan is often found speaking at various events, or in the studio as a podcast guest to shows around the world. Evan was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, where he currently resides with his wife, Brittany, and dog, Owen. In this episode, Evan & Archie talk about how great conversations can be born simply by getting two like minded individuals together who are eager and willing to be present in that moment. They discuss when and how obsession can be a good thing and how easy it is to break down success when you can break down the pattern of consistency that you need to follow to get there. Evan also talks about how people can sometimes get stuck in their emotions and feelings, which ultimately prevent them from taking the action to move forward toward the things they want to achieve. Eric Skwarczynski, host and creator of the Preacher Boys podcast, has been standing up to those in the IFB (Independent Fundamental Baptist) Church who want to silence the voices of survivors of mental, physical, and sexual abuse since he was a teenager. In this episode we talk through what life was like growing up in the IFB, how he managed the multitude of feelings he faced during a pivotal moment in his young life, how he’s made peace with his beliefs and the church, and how he takes care of himself as he provides space for survivors of trauma to share their stories with the world.
