We are called to follow Jesus, even to the places we don't want to go.
Jesus is the source of all life. He gives us the spiritual water we need.
Let's not be rotten fruit, but good fruit connected to Jesus.

Christianity can be a lot like running the Boston Marathon.
Don't get stuck in a three legged race in life. Jesus wants us to run freely, but we all have something that gets in the way.
We have great examples of faith in the bible and all around us. Hebrews encourages us to look to their examples to encourage us in our own race of faith.
The message of Jesus is too good for us to keep to ourselves. Paul encourages us to share Jesus with others, not with fancy words, but share the simple truth of what Jesus did for us. This Christmas, let's "Go Tell it on the Mountain."
Our value and worth is in Jesus. Therefore, we should not boast about how great we are at things, but about how great God is.
God uses the weak things in this world to show his power. God is using us on his team, to show that he is powerful. Therefore, we should not boast in our own ability, but we should boast in the Lord.
God is way smarter than any of us.

God is a God for the Nations. In Mark 11, we see Jesus get upset by what is happening in the temple.
God tells Hosea something crazy. Then Hosea's life becomes a example of God's relationship to Israel. Israel doesn't follow God but Hosea tells them how to repair their relationship with God they broke, by repentance.

God is the God of great reverses. God can take any situation and use it for His good, even when we don't see him.
In Ephesians 1, Paul prays for the Ephesians. One of the unique things about Paul's prayer is that he prays for their spiritual life. When we pray one of the things that we should keep in mind is to pray for what God desires for people. While it is good to pray for our material and physical needs, another way we can pray is to pray that others would know Jesus better.
