This month we welcome to the Brewhouse Stage, Teddy Benson, Head Brewer and Co-Owner of the Grain Shed Brewery in the South Perry District of Spokane. We get to talk about their beginnings, as well as their planned expansions into other areas of Spokane, and how they have taken over the brewhouse at the former Steam Plant Brewing Company. Teddy plays a game for an audience contestant, and we invite another contestant to play live on stage with us. And, as always, we are joined by Dave Basaraba & Tim Hilton from Mountain Lakes Brewing Company, and your host: Chris Cindric!
This month we get to know Natural 20 Brewing's founder and brewer, Reese Carlson as he shares their beginnings when they bought out Spokane Valley's English Setter Brewing Company, all the way up to taking over the old Hidden Mother Brewhouse and Taproom in Downtown Spokane. These guys are awesome, so if you've never been, we highly recommend taking a trip out to see the folks at Natural 20 Brewing!
This month we welcome No-Li Brewhouse owner, John Bryant and Eastern Washington University President, Dave May to the Brewhouse Stage to discuss their partnership in the new EWU Certificate Program in Craft Brewing. We also play some games to win some audience members some cool prizes, and we get down with what's happening in the local beer scene in Spokane.
This month we welcome TJ Wallin & Adam Boyd of Garland Brew Werks (Spokane, WA) to the Brewhouse Stage for some insight into the Spokane Brewery Scene as well as some history as to how TJ and Adam came to open the Garland Brew Werks brewery together... and we'll try to give away a copy of Adam Boyd's new drinking board game: Hammered Heroes. We also get to play games with an audience member and catch up with Dave & Tim and the whole Mountain Lakes Brewery team. On this month's episode we welcome Greg Brandt, Eric Altman & Collin Kirkpatterson of Iron Goat Brewing here in Spokane, Washington. Iron Goat is certainly one of the larger craft breweries in Spokane, having established their first operation in 2012. Greg tells us about his brewing history, how they came to open their brewery, and what he and their team thinks the future holds for the brewing community in Spokane and the Inland Northwest.
