Patrice the movie is about a woman named Patrice, hence the name and her partner. Gary. Wickham who both have disabilities. And they want to get married, but they cannot because of the way the social security/ Medicaid benefits are set up. And it's about their fight in what they call the social security marriage penalty and to be able to get married and keep their social security and Medicaid because security and Medicaid go by the same limits ,in most cases.
