This week we have a special, Main Feed release of our interview with the Best DM in Podcasting, Eric Silver!
Eric has some amazing perspectives from his years of experience in the podcast and TTRPG communities, and brings some Crit to our attention that we definitely were not aware of. The article he wrote that comes up in the show can be found here:

The Ride or Dies take a moment to get their bearings at Prim's Proper House before heading back to the parade. Titan learns about Eryka's baggage, literal and metaphorical, Jo reunites with her dad, and Jasoo gets a clue about her spiritual connections. La Revolución is born at the climax of the Float Contest, and even the Duke is speechless as the people of Stormhaven finally learn what's marching toward their walls. As the square clears out, The Friend Group stands off with soldiers surrounding Prim, but even the House Mother is prepared for the news that General Kargo brings.
Then, in Dirty Crit, Deanna has notes! We discuss beautiful moments and the most despicable crit!
Don't forget to check out the Preshow. It's available on our Patreon, which is free for a week!

Racing after the mysterious figure who blew up the parade, Eve and party find themselves tearing through the streets of Stormhaven. When the clues start to add up, they wonder if they might have missed the real action–but there's more than enough action to go around. In the process, Jo feels out what her mother’s necklace can do, Jasoo puts her smites to work, and Titan just might meet her match. When the dust settles, the party is left wondering what just happened–and what is that thing she’s wearing???
Then, in Dirty Crit, the conversation ranges from the mechanical side of things into discussions of what it’s like to be the target of control spells. Also, a look at what you do what someone's coming out of your mother's house, and at how tight the party is becoming.
Big thanks, as always, to our Patrons. You truly make this show possible! Join today:

Finally back in Stormhaven, where their adventures began, the party sets off toward the Queen’s Day Parade. On the way they run into some new faces, and some that have gotten quite familiar. Jo looks for her father, Titan reconnects with her House, and Jasoo gets some *wink wink* attention. Once they find the parade, however, things get explosive. They manage to quell any immediate danger, but finding the originator of the conflagration might prove to be a little more difficult.
Then, in Dirty Crit, a glance at how badly Tor got womped, a deep look at what “allyship” means, and a perusal of what each of the characters felt during the session.

While the party is still reeling from their foray to the Grey Heron, the Koro army is spotted moving out from Typhon Head. Malaia jumps into gear, and helps the party decide where they’ll go next. They bid farewell to many fine folks, and find themselves with nobility in tow. Jo throws privacy to the wayside, Jasoo discovers the structure of the region’s religion, and Titan brings as many clothes as the Little Sip will hold. But as they sail across the bay, a new development is spotted on the far shore.
Then, in Dirty Crit, the Couples of Crit almost get political. Join us as we dive into divisive topics ranging from Fox News to Nietzsche, Shakespeare to the Constitution.
Coming up, we will be offering free trial access to Patreon content–so if you’ve been curious, now’s a great time to check it out:

The party helps Jaquetta and the rest of the pirates deal with the approaching Grey Ship of Aegir. Titan plays messenger, Jasoo gets some unexpected insight into her faith, and Jo encounters some family matters. But tensions remain high—will diplomacy win the day?
Then, no Dirty Crit is spared as discussion ranges from cults to relationships, and lots of critty places in between.

The party gets a chance to have a nap and a snack aboard The Stargazer, a pirate ship that’s a whole vibe. Jo finds she enjoys a Prim’s Cup, Jasoo begins to reveal some of what she’s going through, and Titan gets a new flirt and a new fit. The nap is just a nap, however, as something else appears unexpectedly on the horizon.
Then, in Dirty Crit, we confront Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, nepotism, and the wave that is our heightened emotions.

The party ventures onto the waters of Deep Reach Bay, with boats full of kids. Will they make it to the ships safely? What fantastical encounter could wave-lay them? Join us to find out.
And after the gameplay, Dirty Crit takes the time to problematize everything, and Jo reminds us that there’s no going home.

With an entire student body as an entourage, the party heads down into the underground sea caves of Typhon Head to make their escape from impending battle. The party makes it to Typhon Head, and one of them has to step up to the plate to get them where they need to go. An old friend shows up, and they finally get a nap and a snack. But before the night is over, something new comes flying in.
This one embraces the messiness of improvised narrative gameplay, and you don't want to miss the Dirty Crit that gets deep into the mire.

In a race against an army and some pirates, Jasoo, Jo, and Titan traverse the Storm Crest peninsula, trying beat everyone else to Typhon Head to help the kids inside. When the party waylays a group of Koro outriders and manages to get some information from them, the vibe goes from dicey to dice rolly. Then, in the midst of the ensuing skirmish, some familiar faces appear, emphasis on the "family."
Afterward, Dirty Crit explores in-game peer pressure, the value of meta-game conversations, and how to know if you’re being a selfish player.

Kylee takes over and gives a DnD 101 class. Listeners who don’t have a ton of experience with the game, we hope this makes When Crit Happens more accessible to you!
And for more experienced players, there are some juicy stories and GM tips in here for you, too.
We go through the most common things that come up when we're playing, and some of the basic principles of the game--which we hope will make it easier for you to follow the story when you're listening to the Rokhatima Campaign!
In the process, Torsten and Kylee get drawn into a couple tangents, all in the service of demystifying gaming jargon.
Plus, we've got some questions from listeners about their most burning DnD questions!

The party confronts Dafne and Carl, who seem to have a particular interest in the crystal Jo carries, from her father–which also bears resemblance to the ones in the courtyard pool. Titan and exerts their will over Carl, and Jo magically befriends Dafne. Meanwhile, Yama tries to help Jasoo see the impact she’s having on the corrupted landscape.
In the end, allies are found in unlikely places, and good friends part ways.
This episode marks the end of the Tempest Top arc, wrapping up at least one of the campaign threads. But there are plenty of other loose ends, so the party is hastily on to the next!

Crit is starting to go down in the Storm Crest Mountains. Jasoo, Jo, and Titan pick themselves up, reckon with what just happened, and reconnect with Yama. They continue investigating what's going on up in this mountain valley, and approach Tempest Top. When they get there, you might be care'n about what they do.
In Dirty Crit, we get into some nuanced conversations about what it means to ask for a manager, and whether or not you need to drink that cocktail you really don't love.
And even though this was recorded back in the early fall, stay tuned because we hop on at the end to thank our Founding Patreon Members.
