Strange Light: Paranormal Encounters and their Effects - July 26, 2025

Seriah is joined by Edson Freeman, to discuss his excellent book, Strange Light. It tells diverse stories of people with lifetimes of paranormal experiences, and how it has affected them.* Outro Music by Grey's Anathema with MudfishFrom Amazon: What happens when ordinary people meet the extraordinary? In Strange Light, author Edson Freeman gathers riveting firsthand accounts of lives upended by events that defy explanation-UFO encounters, near‑death experiences, psychic awakenings, startling synchronicities, and mysterious lights dancing over the Marfa desert.Spanning North America, Australia, the UK, India, and Japan, these personal narratives include prophetic dreams that came true, conversations with departed loved ones, and face‑to‑face meetings with non‑human intelligences. Freeman lets each witness speak in their own voice: no sensationalism, no dismissal-just the raw, unfiltered moment when the boundaries of consensus reality give way.Readers curious about consciousness studies, paranormal phenomena, and fringe science will find an empathetic yet pragmatic exploration of the questions mainstream culture struggles to ask. If you appreciate the investigative rigor of Leslie Kean, the human warmth of John Mack, or the sense of wonder in Chris Bledsoe, Strange Light invites you to rethink what you thought was impossible. I really have to doubt anything this woman says after she says that Bigfoot are just really good at hiding. people who think Bigfoot are just really good at eluding us are kidding themselves. that would mean that they have been 100% successful at eluding us 100% of the time, since forever. gorillas are very smart and well adapted to their environment as well, but when we finally accepted the fact that they were real., it took us DAYS to get a specimen. just days, to get MULTIPLE specimens.

for seriah to say that there can be a breeding population of Bigfoot in New Jersey tells me that he's never been to NJ. NJ is largely wild and farmlands. yes, there are your big cities like Newark and whatnot, but that's like saying there cant be any bigfoot in new york. New York City is the only part of New York that is so heavily populated. Upstate New York has the Adirondacks Etc in New Jersey is very very similar. it is not the way people envision it. it's Lush and green and wild.

Gary needs to learn the difference between a conversation and a lecture. His favorite sound is clearly his own voice.

has any other podcast done so many AMA's and so few actual structured shows? no! seriah your limited success has completely gone to your head and every episode is the same for last 2 years. your show descriptions are always long because the shows have no structure but they always revolve around the same 5 or 6 talking points
