I tach a lot of crime shows and for research I call all kinds of people and ask all kinds of questions. This is why I'm sure I'm on a watch list somewhere. If you are going to try and make a living off of your writing, then you need to start thinking of yourself as a business. And as the author, you are the brand of the business. I hear so many authors say having an author website is too much trouble, or isn't worth it. This is the wrong mentality to have. Change how you are thinking. Otherwise, you are writing as a hobby. Not as a career. That may sound a tad bit harsh, but it is true. If you were starting any other kind of business, you wouldn't hesitate to create a website. So get off your butt, quit complaining, and build your awesome author website. These 10 items may seem so simple, yet the damage they can cause to your writing career over time is significant. whiskeyandwriting.com --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/whiskeyandwriting/support
