Kristin welcomes Chantal, author of Voice of the Queen, for a powerful conversation about what it really means to encounter God. For Chantal, the throne room wasn’t just a metaphor. It was something she stepped into and experienced in a deeply personal way. Through Isaiah 6 and Revelation 4, she helps us understand what happens when we meet with God—not in theory, but in reality. When we stop talking about Him and actually listen for His voice, everything begins to shift. God is always moving forward. He isn’t stuck in our past, and He’s not asking us to live there either. The enemy wants you to believe your history defines you, but God has already written the full story. And He’s inviting you into what’s ahead. That kind of encounter brings up honest, searching questions. What are you asking Him these days? Have you asked Him to father you? And if you have, have you taken the time to really listen for His response? Something happens when you sit with God and hear what He’s speaking over your life. It’s quiet, but it’s powerful. And after that kind of experience, returning to what once felt familiar often doesn’t feel the same anymore. This conversation is more than a moment—it’s an invitation to meet with the God who already sees what’s next. There’s a place deep within each of us that doesn’t need to perform, prove, or strive. It’s quiet—not because life is—but because God meets us there in stillness. This is the secret place. It’s not hidden from us. It’s hidden for us. The secret place isn’t just about carving out quiet time in a busy schedule. It’s about connection. Intimacy. A moment set apart between you and God, where your heart is fully known and fully safe. God is always available. Always near. He doesn’t need perfect words or a perfect setup—just your willingness to pause and come close. This hidden space, where your heart meets His, is where everything changes. He’s not asking you to do more. He’s inviting you to be with Him. Love what we are doing here on Wholistic Hearts, here are three ways to help us spread this Good News Share with a friend! What Goliath is standing in front of you right now? The one that taunts you. Intimidates you. Speaks lies louder than truth. In 1 Samuel 17, David walks toward Goliath—not with heavy armor, but with full confidence in the God beside him. Graham Cooke describes it not just as a battle, but as an encounter—a moment with God filled with presence and promise. You’re invited into that same kind of moment. Join Kristin in today's encounter.  Take time today to pause and ask: What are the Goliaths you are fighting? Who is the God behind you, beside you, and with you? What is the weapon you have been given to respond to your enemies? The closer you get to Him, the smaller the giant becomes.   Love what we are doing here on Wholistic Hearts, here are three ways to help us spread this Good News Share with a friend! Leave a review! 212. Renewing the Mind

212. Renewing the Mind

2025-03-1947:15

In this conversation, Kristin welcomes her good friend, Laura, to explore what it truly means to renew the mind. It’s not about grand, overwhelming changes—it’s about simple, intentional shifts. A small act of obedience. A willingness to listen. So often, negative thoughts hold us back, but renewal starts with awareness. How are we showing up in the world? Are we aligning our thoughts with what God has ordained? When we take the time to shift our mindset, even slightly, we begin to see transformation. Renewing the mind isn’t a solo journey. Growth happens in community. Healing happens when we allow others to walk with us. And through it all, God raises us higher, filling us with hope and joy as we learn to align our thoughts with His truth.   Love what we are doing here on Wholistic Hearts, here are three ways to help us spread this Good News Share with a friend! Kristin has invited her dear friend Jenny to guide us through James 5—a chapter that calls us to real faith in action. It’s a reminder to trust God’s timing, live with integrity, pray with confidence, and care deeply for others. As Jenny walks us through this passage, she invites us to do more than just read—to sit with God, soak in his presence, and reflect on his words. This is a moment to slow down, to quiet our hearts, and to truly listen. Love what we are doing here on Wholistic Hearts, here are three ways to help us spread this Good News Share with a friend! Kristin invites you to step into an encounter with Jesus, sitting with the truth of James 4. This chapter calls us to humble ourselves before God, to acknowledge the weight of our hearts and our need for his grace. James 4 reminds us that when we draw near to God, he draws near to us. In this moment, you don’t need to have everything figured out—you simply need to come close.  Take a deep breath. Close your eyes. Imagine standing in a heavenly courtroom, with Jesus beside you, not as a judge, but as your defense, ready to wipe your sins away. In this encounter, surrender all that you’re carrying—pride, guilt, or anything keeping you distant from him. As you sit with the Holy Spirit, ask Him to search your heart. What do you need to let go of? What’s keeping you from experiencing the fullness of God’s grace? Don’t wait for it to explode later. In this space, allow Him to reveal it to you and offer it up, knowing that He will meet you with forgiveness, humility, and peace. This is your moment to draw near, to confess, to let go, and to experience the glory of God in a way that only happens when we truly surrender. Kristin asks you to pause with James 3, not just to read, but to sit in the weight of its truth. This chapter isn’t just about words—it’s about the heart behind them. What we speak reveals what’s inside us. Our words hold power, shaping the world around us and the lives of those who hear them. James 3 urges us to be aware, to recognize that what flows from our mouths begins in the depths of our hearts. Take a moment. Be still. Ask Jesus to show you what’s within. What is He speaking over you? What does He want you to know about who you are? Write it down. Let His truth become the foundation of the words you speak—first to yourself, then to others. Kristin invites you into an encounter with the words of James 2. This isn’t just about reading—it’s about letting these verses wash over you and open your heart. Take a moment with James 2 this week. Read it slowly, allowing the wisdom to sink in. Let verse 13 speak to you: Mercy triumphs over judgment. Kristin encourages you to reflect on how this truth shapes your perspective. What is the Holy Spirit inviting you to see? How can mercy become the lens through which you view others today? If you’ve ever wondered when or how to have a quiet time, or where to even begin reading the Bible, you’re not alone. It’s one of those questions that can feel overwhelming, but the good news is—there’s no one-size-fits-all approach.  Kristin shares her personal approach to quiet time and Bible reading, reminding us that this isn’t about following a rigid formula—it’s about a relationship. This is between you and Jesus, and the Holy Spirit will guide you. That’s the gift we’ve been given. The way you read the Bible might look completely different from someone else’s, and that’s okay.  What matters is that you’re spending time in the Word in a way that connects with you. This isn’t about getting it “right.” It’s an invitation to step into God’s presence, however that looks for you. And if your quiet time needs a refresh? There are so many ways to revamp it—new study tools, different approaches, or even just shifting your mindset from obligation to opportunity. Wherever you are in your journey, know this: the Holy Spirit will meet you there. If you haven't taken a moment to reflect on your deepest desires, it's time to grab a piece of paper and join Kristin on a journey through this dreams workshop.   In the hustle of life, it's easy to become consumed with everyone else's dreams. In these deep waters, we often encounter moments that lead to deep conversations with ourselves and with others. In today’s episode Kristin shares a conversation with her son Sawyer, who experienced a profound dream that led him to make some big decisions but ultimately put his trust in the Lord.    After sharing his dream, Sawyer felt called to put aside something he deeply loved. This is where his journey becomes a testament to faith and trust. His dream had revealed to him that while he might be putting aside a beloved passion, there was something better lined up for him in the future. This is a profound realization that not only requires faith in oneself but also faith in the Holy Spirit.  Our faith and willingness to navigate life's deep waters with the Holy Spirit will ultimately lead us to a greater sense of purpose, fulfillment, and a deeper understanding of our calling.  Love what we are doing here on Wholistic Hearts, here are three ways to help us spread this Good News Share with a friend! It prompts us to open our hands and hearts wide, to be ready to accept the blessings that were intended for us. The question asked was profound: "What gifts are you giving me today?" During our walk with the Lord, there are often times where we yearn for a deeper connection and we find ourselves navigating in deep spiritual waters. In today’s episode Kristin invites mentor Leah Moore for a conversation on fasting, prayers, and how they become the compass that guides us through these deeper waters.   Leah welcomes listeners into the concept behind fasting, why we do it, and the power it can offer us during our Christian journey. Fasting equips us with spiritual discipline and self-control allowing us to stay anchored in our faith. Leah takes us into the incredible power that prayer and fasting offer us when they’re combined. The door to a deeper relationship with the Lord opens when we engage in both fasting and prayers. Fasting humbles us, making us more receptive to God's guidance, while prayers connect us to his heart.  There are moments when we find ourselves delving into the deep waters of our soul, seeking a closer connection with the Lord. The deep water series is a profound exploration of our yearning for a deeper and more intimate connection with the Lord. It's the journey to go beyond the surface of our practices, to dive deep into the spiritual waters that nourish our souls. This spiritual journey is precisely what Kristin and David are delving into as they explore the invitation to dive into the deep waters of connecting with Christ.   Kristin and David emphasize that this is a journey of relationship. As in any other relationship, time, effort, and dedication are required. Without investing in it ourselves, we cannot expect to understand and connect with God on a deep level.  This series is extending a heartfelt invitation to experience something beyond the ordinary. It's an invitation to feel the divine presence in the depths of our souls, to know God intimately, and to allow Him to know us in return. It's about experiencing a connection that is transformative and life-changing. As the conversation between Kristin and David unfolded, one thing became abundantly clear: this journey is not a destination but a continuous pursuit. It's about embracing the unknown and being open to the mysteries of faith. David's experience as a life development and spiritual growth coach provides listeners with knowledge, experience, and a beacon of hope that a deeper connection with the Lord is the first step to diving into deep waters.  Connect with David Smith https://www.kingdomcoachinginstitute.com/ Love what we are doing here on Wholistic Hearts, here are three ways to help us spread this Good News Share with a friend!
