Author and broadcaster Liv Little hosts this energetic podcast celebrating movement and all the joy it can bring. From ELLE UK, made in association with Nike, it features women from the worlds of fashion, sport, music and culture to discuss how they fit movement into their hectic lives and the emotional benefits it brings. Each week, Nike's specialised coaches and trainers will also be joining the conversation to share their stories about how movement has affected their lives.

This episode celebrates all the various and diverse approaches to fitness that women have, depending on their lifestyle and personality. Liv is joined by singer songwriter Grace Carter to talk about how they approach movement when their lives are feeling chaotic and busy.
Grace speaks about her fast rise to fame and how this impacted her mental health, as well as lessons learned about movement and its impact on her wellbeing during this time. They speak about times when their mental health has suffered and how movement helped them recover from this, and what they now incorporate into their routine to make sure they are looking after themselves when life gets busy.
They are joined by Elle Editor Katie O’Malley who talks about finding your way in the movement space when you are a perfectionist and find comfort in strict routine. We learn what we should incorporate into our routine to make sure we are all approaching movement in a way that works for us, as well as looking to the future of the movement industry and our hopes for the next generation.

They discuss how to build and protect your inner strength and resilience when working in a creative industry that requires you to write from a place of vulnerability. Candice speaks about her movement of choice, strength training, and how this has helped her build and protect her resilience both physically and emotionally, and the positive effects this has had on her career.
They are joined by Elle Editor Shannon Mahanty, who asks about how we can hold space for our vulnerability and personal lives when working in a busy career and how we can use movement to be kind to ourselves and connect with our inner worlds.

In the last episode of the series, we will be looking to how the fashion and fitness industry intersect. We’ll be exploring changing narratives around fitness and fashion and chatting about how freedom to move and body inclusivity can be incorporated into design.
Liv is joined by designer Chet Lo who tells us about his creative process and how women’s comfort are at the forefront of his designs. Chet talks about how clothes should be designed for bodies to move in, and that clothing is at its most beautiful when the person it’s made for can move freely and confidently.
We’re also joined by Nike Well Collective trainer Clélia Edouard, whose new gym is focused around inclusivity and encouraging all bodies to workout. Clélia tells us about how she went from burnout at a corporate job to being inspired to help others in their approach to movement, as well as chatting with Chet about how his dancing background helped him find climbing as a movement of choice.

In this episode of Why I Move, Liv reflects on lessons learned from all her many talented guests and friends over the last few weeks- and what a way to finish but to talk with Author, DJ and Broadcaster Vick Hope about her unique approach to movement.
Vick talks about her love of dancing and yoga, how the two are interconnected, and how she discovered an approach to movement that taught her the importance of rest and mindfulness, and how this saved her from burnout and stress.
They are joined by Nike Well Collective Coach Rosie Hall, founder of Rogue Room, a yoga space that takes the vibrancy, connection and euphoria of club culture and uses it to reclaim yoga as a form of movement that welcomes us all- and to encourage us to be present, introspective and move in a way that feels good for us and our body.

In this episode, Liv speaks to friend, chef, and author Ixta Belfrage about her love of food and cooking, her time in the Ottolenghi test kitchen, and her celebration of bold recipes in her new cookbook. Ixta speaks about growing up in a very healthy household in Italy and having a nutritionist mum and the influence this had on her relationship with food and nutrition.
They are joined by Nike Well Collective Trainer Miriam Krug, whose specialised approach to nutrition involves reframing our goals to move beyond the aesthetic. She describes how she is re-learning how to view her body, that healthy looks different for everyone, and how a career-altering injury led her to a deeper understanding of the importance of rest and a rounded approach to fitness and nutrition.
They also discuss the importance of motivation when you aren’t feeling your best, and how the key is being kind to yourself and finding different approaches to movement and nutrition - whether that's a 10-minute walk outside or a few stretches while you are watching tv.
