I welcomed San Francisco photographer Subha Joshi to Wildlife Conversations for Episode 22! Her stunning work captures everything from Alaskan bears, wolves, hummingbirds, foxes, and bison to intimate lupine meadows and foggy urban landscapes.Based in San Francisco and an engineer by training, Subha found her love of photography in 2019. It started with a friend’s daughter’s birthday party and then a visit to a local camera club; her story will resonate with you, I’m sure. A Canon shooter, she loves photographing wildlife, birds, and intimate/abstract landscapes and strives to be able to find a scene worth capturing anywhere. Subha and I met quickly last summer in Alaska, her favorite place to shoot, and I can’t for you to listen to her story! We discuss:Finding her voice behind the lensSeeing the beauty in ordinary things each day and challenging yourself to make an imagePhotographing what one likes, not what Instagram likesPhotographing ethically How photography helps our mental healthCreating and taking up space as a womanPhotographing locally and finding a camera club and mentorLIVE Q&A and the speed round, plus so much more!__________WHERE TO FIND SUBHAInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/subhajoshiphotography/  & https://www.instagram.com/being_abstractful/ Website: https://www.joshi.photography/ __________WHERE TO FIND JENhttps://jenlritchie.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jenlritchie/Grab my free guide and join the email list for upcoming podcasts: https://jenlritchie.com/freeguide/See what's in my camera bag here: https://jenlritchie.com/photographer/Support the podcast: https://jenlritchie.com/support/___________Wildlife Conversations Podcast exists to share more voices in the genre and to build community outside of social media.
