A quick heads-up:On November 21, we’re taking all past episodes of the Wildly Successful Law Firm Podcast off the public platforms (Apple, Google, etc.).If you want to keep every episode, re-listen anytime, and have lifetime access to the full archive, you can purchase it here:👉 Podcast Archive Lifetime Access — $100 https://buy.stripe.com/fZu14n00Z6Tg9NUcGi0oM0XOnce you purchase, you’ll get permanent access to all episodes, including the final one. After Nov 21, they won’t be available for free anywhere.Key Takeaways:1. Raise your prices every year.If Big Law can raise their rates by 7 to 10 percent, so can you. You have more experience now than you did last year. Charge for it. Stop worrying about who you’ll lose. The right clients will stay.2. Write down your marketing plan.If it lives in your head, it’s not real. I write my plans down and move them into my calendar. You should too. Know where your clients came from and where you want new ones to come from.3. Track your numbers every month. You don’t need fancy reports. Your bank statement and calendar will tell you almost everything. Know what came in, what went out, and how many consults turned into clients.4. Group your clients into buckets.Every firm has work that drains time and work that drives profit. Look at what brings money and joy, and cut what doesn’t. Don’t build your firm around the work you hate.5. Be brutally honest with yourself.Ask if you really want the kind of work you’re chasing. Ask if you actually want to manage a team or be in court all week. Your firm should fit your life, not the other way around.6. Charge more so you can hire better. You get what you pay for. If you want smart, reliable people who take work off your plate, you have to charge enough to afford them.7. Data gives you power. When you track your data, decisions become simple. Without it, you stay stuck and overwhelmed. Start with what’s in front of you—your bank account and your schedule.8. Your marketing should match your truth.Don’t copy what every other lawyer does. You don’t need TikTok if it doesn’t fit you. Be honest about what you’ll actually do and commit to it.9. Consistency beats perfection. One post, one newsletter, or one lunch won’t change your firm. Doing it every month will. Show up often enough to stay top of mind.10. You already know what to do.Everything I’ve taught for four years comes down to this: charge what you’re worth, track your data, plan ahead, focus on what works, and be honest about what you want.Thank you for being part of the Wildly Successful Law Firm podcast. These past four years have meant the world to me. I’ve shared everything I know about growing, managing, and marketing a firm that feels good to run.Even though the podcast is ending, I’m not going anywhere. I’m still here helping lawyers raise their rates, hire better teams, and build firms that last.If you ever need help with your marketing, pricing, or systems, or just want to say hi, reach out to me. I’d love to hear from you.Email: nermine@wearews.comThank you again for listening, for growing, and for being part of this journey with me.
Key Takeaways1. Don’t lower your rates. You didn’t lose your experience when you left Big Law. If you billed $1,200/hour before, you can still bill that now. Clients already expect that rate.2. Your clients want you, not a team of juniors. They are paying for your direct access, your speed, and your experience, not layers of associates and partners.3. Use fixed fees as a marketing edge.Flat or fixed fees help corporate clients plan budgets and make you look predictable, professional, and easy for a CFO to approve.4. Big Law marketing rules don’t apply.Skip SEO, Google Ads, and billboards. Your next clients will not find you that way. Focus on relationships, thought leadership, and visibility.5. Build relationships the right way.Use the “1-2-3-4 punch”:Meet in person (coffee, events, conferences)Send newslettersStay active on LinkedInKeep showing up consistently6. Show thought leadership with real opinions.Don’t post case summaries. Share what you think about them. Take a stand. Clients trust strong opinions, not robotic summaries.7. Use your marketing to show confidence, not discount it.Your message should be: “When you email us, you get us, not a junior.”8. Video can be simple and effective.Be direct, speak about real deals or trends, and have an opinion. Use clear brand visuals that fit your niche.9. Marketing for Big Law attorneys is relationship marketing. It is not about being everywhere. It is about being seen by the right people enough times to build trust.10. Stay consistent.Clients trickle in over months, not overnight. Keep posting, emailing, and meeting. Results come with repetition.A quick heads-up:On November 21, we’re taking all past episodes of the Wildly Successful Law Firm Podcast off the public platforms (Apple, Google, etc.).If you want to keep every episode, re-listen anytime, and have lifetime access to the full archive, you can purchase it here:👉 Podcast Archive Lifetime Access — $100 https://buy.stripe.com/fZu14n00Z6Tg9NUcGi0oM0XOnce you purchase, you’ll get permanent access to all episodes, including the final one. Key Takeaways from This EpisodeMost solo lawyers are happy. The ALPS survey found that 3 out of 4 solo attorneys feel satisfied in their work. That’s much higher than lawyers in big or mid-size firms.Control matters more than money. Many lawyers leave larger firms because they want control over their schedule, clients, and workload—not just a big paycheck.Debt shapes career choices.Law school debt pushes a lot of people into jobs they didn’t plan for. Over time, that can lead to burnout or regret.Less stress when you focus.Solos who pick one or two practice areas do better and even pay lower malpractice insurance. The more you “dabble,” the more risk you take on.Solo life doesn’t mean lonely life. Many solos stay connected through Facebook groups, Slack channels, and local bar groups. Support is there—you just need to reach out.Health and vacation matter. Most solos in the survey rated their health as good or great, and many take real time off each year. When you take care of yourself, you do better work.Technology made going solo easier. You don’t need a big office anymore. Tools like Clio and virtual offices make it possible to start a practice with low costs.More lawyers will keep going solo.About 76% of solos plan to stay that way. They like the freedom, the clients they serve, and the work they’re building for themselves. The big message:You don’t need to stay in a job that drains you. You can build a practice that fits your life—and still be a great lawyer.ALPS INSURANCE REPORT FINDS SOLO LAW FIRMS BUCKING THE LAWYER WELL-BEING CRISIS TRENDWhile solo practitioners make up 49% of private practice lawyers in the U.S., relatively little research or attention has focused specifically on America's solo community. At the end of 2024, ALPS endeavored to establish benchmark data about solo attorneys and their respective professional satisfaction to determine how this subset of the nation’s legal workforce was faring. The findings, released in the 2025 Solo Attorney Well-Being Trends Report, were surprising. In this episode of the Wildly Successful Law Firm Podcast, I sit down with Attorney Jonathan Rosenfeld, the founder of Rosenfeld Injury Lawyers LLC, to talk about what it really takes to build a successful personal-injury firm in Chicago — from a one-man show with a Yellow Pages ad to a multi-practice operation handling mass-tort cases.Jonathan shares how he got into personal-injury law almost by accident and what kept him in it for more than 20 years. He talks about starting his practice without a mentor, learning through observation, and realizing early that he wasn’t meant to be an employee — he was meant to build his own business. We also get real about the marketing side of law. Jonathan openly admits to doing all the “cringe” things most lawyers wouldn’t — handing out business cards to taxi drivers, visiting construction sites, even running a Yellow Pages ad with his face inside a dollar bill. And yet, that’s what worked. Because when you’re growing a law firm, you can’t act like you’re above the work. You have to get out there, be visible, and meet people where they are.Jonathan and I also dive into hiring — how the best team members aren’t always the ones with the highest GPA, but the ones who are hungry, disciplined, and competitive. He looks for people who’ve played sports or served in the military because they understand persistence, teamwork, and pressure. Now, twenty years later, he’s shifted his focus toward scaling through niching down. We talk about how the days of the “general law firm” are over and why creating micro-brands for specific case types has been key to staying relevant and competitive. If you’re a law-firm owner who’s still trying to do everything for everyone, this episode is your reminder: narrow your focus, do the work no one else wants to do, and never underestimate the power of treating people like human beings.Guest: Attorney Jonathan Rosenfeld, Founder & Managing Attorney of Rosenfeld Injury Lawyers LLC (Chicago, IL)Website: https://www.rosenfeldinjurylaw.com/📌📌📌 Pinned Resources 📌📌📌⚡2025 Lawyers Annual Planner. Curious if running ads is right for your law firm? In this episode of the Wildly Successful Law Firm podcast, Nermin Jasani demystifies legal advertising—from Facebook and Instagram to Google PPC, YouTube, TikTok, TV, and radio. She breaks down what works (and what doesn’t) for different types of law, why ad success is about more than just spending money, and how to set yourself up for real results. Whether you’re new to ads or rethinking your current approach, Nermin shares actionable advice on tracking results, following up with leads, and choosing the strategy that actually makes sense for your practice.Key Takeaways:There are many advertising platforms, but not all are suitable for every legal practice area.High-volume practices like personal injury can benefit from TV and radio ads, but they require significant investment and robust intake systems.Social media ads (Facebook, Instagram) can work for family, estate, or bankruptcy law but need ongoing nurturing—expect a longer conversion timeline for “cold” leads.TikTok and YouTube are best for lawyers with established online presences; TikTok is good for brand awareness, not big-ticket services.Google Pay-Per-Click (PPC) can get expensive quickly and doesn’t guarantee client conversion. The success of any ad campaign depends on having solid systems to track leads and follow up effectively.Always track where your leads come from and calculate your return on ad spend to guide future decisions.Be cautious with marketing agencies—ensure they deliver on their tracking and reporting promises.Set a clear ad budget and specific goals before launching any campaign, and be ready to pivot if you’re not seeing results. If you’re not ready for ads, focus on lead magnets, nurturing emails, and tightening your internal processes to improve conversions.📌📌📌 Pinned Resources 📌📌📌⚡2025 Lawyers Annual Planner. Key Takeaways from the Podcast Episode:Virality isn’t a Guaranteed Business Booster: Going viral may bring a flood of views, likes, and followers, but those numbers rarely turn into actual paying clients or revenue for a law firm.Focus on Meaningful Metrics: Vanity metrics like views and comments are less important than consults booked, new clients signed, and revenue generated.Consistent Content Wins: Success comes from consistently creating valuable, educational content that showcases expertise and builds trust over time—not from chasing the next viral hit.Virality is Unpredictable: There is no reliable way to reverse-engineer or force content to go viral; it often happens randomly as a result of the algorithm.Comprehensive Strategy is Essential: Virality should be seen as a bonus, not the strategy itself. A holistic marketing approach—including social media, email newsletters, events, and strong follow-up systems—is what actually brings in clients.Long-term Audience Building: The goal is to nurture relationships so that when someone is ready to hire an attorney, your firm is top of mind due to your consistent presence and demonstrated expertise. In summary: Don’t make “going viral” the centerpiece of your marketing plan. Instead, invest in steady, well-rounded marketing that attracts, engages, and converts your ideal clients.📌📌📌 Pinned Resources 📌📌📌⚡2025 Lawyers Annual Planner. Check it out hereWant hidden gems 💎? You Probably Don’t Have a Niche (Yet)Saying you're a "business lawyer" or "family lawyer" isn't a niche—it's a practice area.A niche is about the specific type of client you serve, the problem you solve, and your unique angle or expertise.Examples of Untapped Niches1. Family Law + NeuroscienceHelp clients understand the brain science behind why they stay in toxic relationships.Use neurobiology to explain emotional resistance and charge premium fees due to your specialized approach.2. Influencer Business LawyerDon’t just call yourself a business lawyer.Target successful influencers (over 500k followers) who have brand deals and need contract, IP, and legal strategy help.3. White Collar Defense + In-House PRRepresent execs involved in financial or reputational scandals.Offer legal services + crisis PR to control the narrative and protect future employment. Why Niching WorksSpecificity = Higher Rates: Niche attorneys can charge $500–$2,500/hr or set six-figure retainers.Better Referrals: Clear niches make it easy for others to refer clients to you.The Unique Perspective or Approach1. Start with Practice Area (e.g., family, business, criminal)2. Add Your Unique Lens (e.g., neuroscience, PR, trauma specialist)3. Define the Client Profile/Problem (e.g., influencers with brand deals, CEOs accused of misconduct)What a Niche Is NOT“I help good people who made a mistake.” → Too vague.“I do family law for women.” → That’s a target audience, not a niche.“I only take clients I like.” → That’s a preference, not a business model.📌📌📌 Pinned Resources 📌📌📌⚡2025 Lawyers Annual Planner. KEY TAKEAWAYS: - You need both digital and traditional marketing. Don’t go 100% one or the other.- Every practice area is different. Your strategy should match your urgency level, location, and audience.- Each platform and tactic needs its own strategy — you can’t copy-paste the same thing everywhere.- You’re either spending time or money. There is no magical free version.DIGITAL MARKETING OPTIONS (Pick 3–4 max):- Influencer or affiliate shoutouts (great for PI with public clients)- SEO + Blogs (get found on Google with keyword-packed posts)- Ebooks/Checklists (guides like “10 things to know before your consult”)- Social Media (every platform needs its own strategy — don’t post the same stuff everywhere) - LinkedIn = professional network - Instagram = visual storytelling - TikTok = casual, real-life law - YouTube = longform explainer content - Pinterest = great if you sell templates, contracts, or courses- Webinars (great for estate planning or info-heavy topics)- Google Ads (aka pay-per-click; expensive but fast leads)- Podcast (only if you’re really interesting)- Guest on Podcasts (better option — share stories, not statutes)- Google/Yelp Reviews (ask for them + use keywords!)- Press Releases (only if you have big news to share)- Write for online legal sites (Above the Law, Law360, etc.)TRADITIONAL MARKETING OPTIONS (Layer these in):- Cold calling referral sources (real estate agents, chiropractors, etc.)- Flyers + brochures (leave them in local spots)- Speaking engagements (CLE panels, bar events — build authority)- Direct mailers (expensive, but people *do* keep them)- Print ads in local magazines (great for estate or biz lawyers)- 1:1 Lunches (Nermin’s fave — ditch the networking groups)- Bar/professional associations (one intro could lead to big biz)- TV + radio ads (super expensive; only works with a real strategy)- Referral + networking groups (BNI, Lawyers 500, etc.)- Past client check-ins (call your old clients. Seriously.)- Promo products (pens, mugs — layered in, not random)- Billboards (yes, they still work — include your phone number!)- Firm-branded magazine (expensive, but unforgettable)FINAL REMINDERS:- You can’t just "do marketing." You need to pick a few things and do them well.- Each channel needs its own plan — don’t treat them all the same.- Feeling overwhelmed? That’s normal. Marketing is a full-time job.- If you’re not spending money, you’ll need to spend time. - If you're doing neither — you’re not marketing.📌📌📌 Pinned Resources 📌📌📌⚡2025 Lawyers Annual Planner. Hey law firm owners—if you've ever wondered why your marketing isn’t working the way you expected, this episode breaks it all down in a way that finally makes sense. Here’s what you need to know:🔥 Urgent Practice Areas = “I Need a Lawyer NOW!”Think:- Personal Injury-Criminal Defense-Crypto Theft-Workers’ CompClients in these areas are price insensitive and ready to hire immediately. They’re not comparing quotes. They’re Googling “lawyer near me” in a panic.Your strategy:-Focus on ads (PPC, SEO, Google Maps)-Build a strong intake system-Be ready when the phone rings—this is a volume game🐢 Non-Urgent Practice Areas = The Long GameThink:-Trademarks-Business Law-Estate Planning-Immigration (general)-Family Law (general)These clients are price sensitive, take months (or years!) to hire, and need multiple reminders before they make a move.Your strategy:-Newsletters, blogs, Instagram, client gifts, soft selling-Stay top of mind-Be consistent and omnipresent⚖️ The In-Between: Contextually UrgentThink:-Asylum-Emergency Custody/Abuse in Family Law-Deportation/Detainment CasesThese clients swing between urgent and non-urgent depending on the situation. Your marketing has to account for both possibilities.🚨 Key Reminder:Don't play the urgent marketing game if your practice area is not urgent. That’s where frustration, burnout, and wasted money happen.📌 Know your category. Play the right game. Win big.📌📌📌 Pinned Resources 📌📌📌⚡2025 Lawyers Annual Planner. "Associate – Rainmaker or Not?"Law firm owners, when you bring on an associate, you’ve got two options:➡️ Rainmaker Associate – Someone who brings in business➡️ Non-Rainmaker Associate – Someone who just does the work you give themHere’s the breakdown:🔹 Rainmaker Model✅ Builds their own network✅ Eventually brings in 6-7 figures on their own❌ Requires training, time, and budget❌ Might leave once they’ve built independence🔹 Non-Rainmaker Model✅ Easier to manage and control✅ You keep ownership of all marketing❌ You become the bottleneck❌ If your leads dry up, so does their workloadAsk yourself:Do I have consistent leads coming in for 6–12 months?Am I willing to invest in their marketing growth? Is this associate short-term help or a long-term partner? If they’re a Rainmaker, give them visibility:🎤 Speaking engagements✍️ Personal newsletters☕ Monthly 1:1s with potential clients📲 Social media content with their voice📈 Clear KPIs + marketing budgetIf they’re Not, you better keep marketing to feed the both of you.Because if they’re twiddling their thumbs—it’s on you, not them.📌📌📌 Pinned Resources 📌📌📌⚡2025 Lawyers Annual Planner. 🚨 LAWYERS: You’re Probably Screwing Up Your PricingHere’s How to Fix ItHi, it’s Nermin—And if no one’s ever walked you through how to strategically price your legal services… don’t worry, you’re not alone. Most law firm owners haven’t. But that changes today.Because pricing isn’t something you guess at. It’s not something you copy from another firm’s website. It’s a strategy rooted in psychology, perception, and value. Here are the biggest takeaways from our pricing podcast—use this as your cheat sheet to level up your revenue and position your firm as premium.💡 1. Pricing Is a Business Skill—Not a Gut FeelingHarvard teaches entire MBA courses on pricing strategy.Uber, Grubhub, and nearly every Fortune 500 company has a pricing department. Why? Because pricing isn’t random—it’s backed by research, data, and psychology. You don’t need a Harvard degree, but you do need a better system than “what feels fair.”💬 2. “Affordable” Isn’t Always a ComplimentNo one says, “You’ve got to try my affordable heart surgeon.”Same goes for lawyers. When clients hear “cheap,” they often assume:You’re newYou’re not confidentOr something’s missingLet’s move you into a category where your pricing reflects the quality and care you provide.🎁 3. Clients Buy Outcomes—Not HoursThey’re not paying you to spend 5 hours drafting. They’re paying you because they don’t have to draft it themselves. They’re paying for peace of mind, results, and protection. So if you’re still billing hourly, it’s time to consider flat-fee packages. Yes, even if you litigate.📊 4. Use Price Anchoring (It Works Because It’s Psychology)Want clients to choose your $3,000 package?Put it next to a $6,000 option. Suddenly, $3K looks reasonable—even smart. Most people gravitate toward the middle tier.So if you raise that middle price just $500 or $1,000, you can increase revenue without adding new work.💬 5. Your Pricing Tells a Story—Make It CountPricing is a signal. It says:🟢 “I’m experienced. You’re in good hands.”🔴 Or “I’m still figuring this out.”And I know you’re not just figuring it out anymore—so let your pricing reflect that.🛠 6. Time for a Pricing AuditAsk yourself:Are you still offering services you don’t love or get hired for?Are your prices aligned with the value you deliver today—not three years ago?Are you covering all those “invisible” costs like mailing fees, scope creep, etc.?If not, it’s time to recalibrate.⚖ 7. Benchmark Without Underpricing YourselfYes, look at what others in your area charge. But don’t aim to be the cheapest.Stay in the top 50%—you deserve to be paid like the experienced professional you are.👀 8. Think Like Your ClientClients compare prices just like you do.Whether it’s coffee or cars or couches, they make decisions emotionally—and they look for value, not just price. So show them the value.Give them a clear offer, an outcome they care about, and a price that reflects your worth.🔚 Final ThoughtYou don’t need to overhaul everything today. But you do need to start.Audit your pricingPackage your servicesPosition yourself with intention📌📌📌 Pinned Resources 📌📌📌⚡2025 Lawyers Annual Planner.
🔑 KEY TAKEAWAYS1. Stop Spiraling. Start Zooming Out.You forgot a $100 filing fee. Is it annoying? Yes. Is it worth a three-paragraph rage email at midnight? No. If it’s less than 1% of your monthly revenue, breathe and move on.2. Data Over Drama.Your employee was late twice in 121 days? That’s not a firing offense—it’s a conversation. Look at the pattern before you write the panic script in your head.3. One “No” Doesn’t Cancel Your Growth.A $10K client didn’t hire you? You’ve already made $400K this year. Get two $5K clients or one $12K case and move on. Your business isn’t built on one maybe.4. Don’t Let One Bad Review Ruin Your Week. You’ve got 200 five-star reviews and one one-star. Don’t spend six hours and four emails obsessing. Instead, get five more raving reviews and drown out the noise.5. Vanity Metrics ≠ Real Money. So your Instagram likes dipped. But did consults and sign-ons increase? Great. That’s what matters. Focus on bank deposits, not just hearts and comments.6. Copycats Can’t Copy Your Power.Someone mimicked your $50K website? Take it as flattery. Your voice, your service, your client experience—that’s what they can’t steal. You’re the brand.7. You’re Human. Your Team Is Too.A $300 billing mistake or a wrong link in an email doesn’t mean it’s time to fire your vendor or berate your staff. People make mistakes. Address it, fix it, and use it as a systems tweak—not a meltdown trigger.8. Perfectionism Is Not a Business Model. If your team gets 99% of the work right, you’ve got a good team. Don’t torch your sanity trying to run a mistake-free machine. Focus on consistency, not perfection.9. Fix It. Then Keep It Moving. When something goes wrong, ask: How do I fix it? How do I prevent it? Then move forward. Obsessing over what already happened? That’s costing you more than the mistake did.📌📌📌 Pinned Resources 📌📌📌⚡2025 Lawyers Annual Planner. Check it out hereWant hidden gems 💎? 🔑 Key Takeaways💥 It’s Not Your Price, It’s Your PitchMost lawyers blame low conversions on fees. Reality check: it’s how you come across in the consult—pushy, cold, or robotic.❌ Mistake #1: Being Pushy, Not ConfidentSaying “Are you ready to hire me?” or fear-based pressure tactics scare clients off.✅ Instead, use language like: “If I were in your shoes, here’s what I’d do…”🧠 Mistake #2: Using Legal JargonConfusing clients doesn’t make you sound smart—it makes them walk.✅ Speak in plain English: “This helps your family avoid court” (not “revocable trust”).🚫 Mistake #3: Not ListeningTalking over people or rushing to pitch builds zero trust.✅ Say things like: “Tell me more about that…” or “What’s most important to you?”😬 Mistake #4: Being Awkward or VagueWishy-washy language kills your credibility.✅ Try: “If you’re ready, here’s exactly what happens next…”👏 Mistake #5: Making It About YouBragging about your resume is a turnoff.✅ Ask: “What’s keeping you up at night about this case?”📌📌📌 Pinned Resources 📌📌📌⚡2025 Lawyers Annual Planner. Hey there, I’m your host, Nermin Jasani—lawyer turned law firm growth strategist, and your go-to guide for building a law firm that doesn’t just make you money, but actually supports the life you want to live.Today, we’re talking about wealth—but not the kind you’re thinking of.This episode is called “The Five Types of Wealth” and it’s inspired by a powerful concept from Sahil Bloom’s book. I’m going to walk you through what these five types are, how they show up in your business and personal life, and why most lawyers—especially solo and small firm owners—are only chasing one of them… and burning out in the process. If you’re feeling stretched too thin, if you’ve been wondering why you’re working so hard and still not feeling successful, this one’s for you.So whether you’re listening from the office, on your commute, or—hopefully—on a walk without your inbox blowing up…Take a deep breath. This is your time.Let’s get into it.📌📌📌 Pinned Resources 📌📌📌⚡2025 Lawyers Annual Planner. Check it out hereWant hidden gems 💎? Stop Dabbling. Seriously. If you’re “kind of familiar” with a practice area and you take on the case anyway, you’re playing with fire. That CLE or law school elective? Not enough. Malpractice doesn’t care about your intentions.2. Conflicts of Interest Will Wreck YouRepresenting both sides of a situation—or even just sticking with one after the other drops off—can lead to big, expensive claims. If there's even a whiff of a conflict, walk away.3. Your Calendar System Isn’t as Safe as You ThinkOne missed deadline. That’s all it takes. Redundancy matters. Two systems. Two humans. Weekly checks. Treat it like your firm’s financials—review it religiously.4. Your Mental Health Is a Malpractice Risk FactorBurned out, overwhelmed, checked out? That’s when mistakes happen. Over 50% of claims have some form of impairment behind them. Want to protect your firm? Take care of you.5. If You’re Suing Clients for Fees, You’re Already LosingStop taking bad-fit clients. If you’re constantly chasing invoices, your intake process is broken—and malpractice insurers are watching.📌📌📌 Pinned Resources 📌📌📌⚡2025 Lawyers Annual Planner. Check it out hereWant hidden gems 💎? Key Takeaways from This Episode:🔥 Find Your 199 – Tom Brady was drafted 199th, a number that could’ve been his excuse to quit. Instead, he made it his brand. What’s your 199? The thing you keep using as an excuse—bad grades, failed bar, missed opportunity? Stop letting it hold you back and start using it to make you money.🔥 Doubt Hits Everyone—Even the GOAT – Tom Brady is one of the best quarterbacks of all time, and even he asked himself, "Do I even know English?" when he switched careers. Feeling insecure? Good. That means you’re about to grow. Keep going.🔥 The Transition Trap – Lawyers go hard for big cases, trials, and deadlines… then crash when it’s over. Brady compared it to sprinting on a treadmill at full speed and suddenly stopping. If you don’t plan for the transition, you’ll wipe out. What’s your game plan for when the big moment ends?🔥 Old-School Wins: Get a Damn Paper Calendar – Tom Brady reviews his entire year on paper to track what worked and what didn’t. If a guy worth hundreds of millions still uses a physical planner, maybe it’s time to stop relying on your chaotic digital mess and get one too. (P.S. If you haven’t grabbed my Lawyer’s Annual Planner, what are you doing?)🔥 Success Requires a Team – Tom Brady doesn’t do it alone—he’s got a team that’s been with him for 15+ years, all rowing in the same direction. Who’s rowing with you? And if you think you don’t have anyone, you have me. I’m in your corner. Now let’s go.📌📌📌 Pinned Resources 📌📌📌⚡2025 Lawyers Annual Planner. Check it out hereWant hidden gems 💎? 🔑 Key Takeaways from This Episode1. Everything Always Works Out – If something hasn't worked out yet, you're just in the wrong part of the story. Keep going.2. Your Past Fears Were Unfounded – Looking back, the things that seemed like huge obstacles (like the 2010 job market crash) were just stepping stones to a better outcome.3. Losing Key Employees Is a Blessing in Disguise – When your best associate or paralegal quits, it feels like a disaster. But give it a few months—you’ll realize the firm runs fine without them and maybe even better.4. New Hires Aren’t Always What They Seem – The “perfect” new hire can turn out to be a dud. Trust the process and be ready to adapt.5. Raising Your Fees Always Feels Scary—Until It Doesn’t – The first few clients may hesitate, but once you see the quality of clients improve and your revenue increase, you’ll never look back.6. Marketing Takes Time, But It Works – If you’re posting and not seeing immediate results, keep going. Marketing, like the gym, takes consistency.7. Your Law Firm Story Isn’t Over – Whether you’re facing staffing issues, pricing fears, or slow marketing results, your firm’s success is a matter of pushing forward to the next chapter.📌📌📌 Pinned Resources 📌📌📌⚡2025 Lawyers Annual Planner. 🔑 Key Takeaways:Running a wildly successful law firm isn’t about being the best lawyer in the room—it’s about building a business that runs efficiently without you being in the day-to-day legal work. Here’s what stood out from my conversation with Jennifer Gore, founder of Atlanta Personal Injury Law Group:✅ Your law firm is a business—treat it like one. If you’re only focused on being a great lawyer and not a great business owner, your firm will struggle.✅ Marketing isn’t optional. Jennifer has always had in-house marketing because she knows her brand voice is too important to outsource completely. If you don’t have a strategy, you’re invisible.✅ Batch your work. Stop jumping from client calls to admin work to marketing. Jennifer has structured days for leadership, marketing, deep work, and content creation. This eliminates distractions and maximizes productivity.✅ Invest in the right vendors—and hold them accountable. Monthly check-ins with SEO teams, PPC vendors, and marketers aren’t a luxury; they’re a necessity. If they’re not showing you results, they’re wasting your money.✅ Scaling means stepping back from the legal work. Jennifer hasn’t had a caseload for years—her job is growing the firm, not handling cases. If you want to scale, you need to hire the right people and let go of control.✅ Mistakes are part of the process. She’s hired the wrong people, wasted money on bad marketing, and made financial mistakes. But the key? She learned, adjusted, and kept moving.🚀 Final Thought: Whether you want to be the face of your firm or build a business that runs without you, you need a clear strategy, strong leadership, and a commitment to treating your law firm like the business it is.🔥 If you’re serious about growth, ask yourself: Are you running a law firm, or is your law firm running you?📌📌📌 Pinned Resources 📌📌📌⚡2025 Lawyers Annual Planner. Crossed arms or rigid stances scream unapproachable.Use open, confident gestures to build trust before you even say a word.Your body is part of your message—don’t just say it, show it.👉 Authenticity Wins Every TimeDitch the lawyer jargon; speak like a human being who cares.Whether in a courtroom, conference, or Instagram reel, connect by being you.Simplify your language. Nobody’s impressed by “navigate the immigration puzzle”—just say, “help you stay in the U.S. legally.”👉 Active Listening for Better Team CommunicationDon’t listen to respond—listen to understand. Reflect back what you heard before jumping to conclusions.Feedback isn’t an attack, so don’t get defensive. Use a “yes, and” approach to build collaboration instead of conflict. Some conversations are too important for email or Slack. If there’s tension, have a real conversation.👉 Your Voice Is Your Power—Invest in ItYour voice is your moneymaker. Learn how to control it, modulate it, and make it resonate.Avoid monotone delivery or “vocal fry” (that raspy, dragging sound). Instead, practice varying your pitch and tone.Warm up your voice before big presentations like you’d stretch before a workout. Your breath is your fuel—use it.👉 Stage Fright? Sweat Through It AnywayNervous? Good. That means you care. It’s okay to sweat, clench, or even black out a little—just don’t let fear stop you.The audience doesn’t notice half of what you think they do, and they’re rooting for you to succeed.Use relatable storytelling to connect, engage, and keep their attention.👉 Lawyers on Video: Lose the Robotic DeliveryAdd energy and enthusiasm to your videos—it’s not a deposition, it’s a chance to show your personality.Use conversational language, focus on your audience’s problems, and talk to them, not at them.People don’t connect with perfection—they connect with authenticity.👉 Your Voice Is a Skill—Train ItVocal coaching isn’t just for actors. If you’re a lawyer, you make money by speaking, so learn how to do it better.Work on the basics: breathing, pacing, and enunciation. Mastering these will elevate your presence.Practice subtext—know the emotion behind your words. You’re not just saying things; you’re making people feel something.📌📌📌 Pinned Resources 📌📌📌⚡Don't start 2025 without the Lawyers Annual Planner. a...
