Description
Welcome to Within, a space for women allowing themselves to simply be. Hosted by wife, mother and mindfulness mentor, Katy Rexing, this show reimagines the unrealistic standards that keep us from our truest nature. Here, we unravel the programming that taught us things like perfection, shame and overwhelm and settle into our deepest knowing and self trust. Each week, Katy will be joined by thought leaders and experts who are choosing to unravel the belief about how and what a woman should be and instead are coming home to themselves. We’ll share raw, real conversations around trying to live mindfully, aging, sobriety, current wellness culture, and what it really means to be a woman in today’s day and age.

“I pour into so many other people, but I think I had forgotten to pour into me.”
For the last year or so I thought I was doing fine. Sure, I had sleepless nights or more anxiety than I’d prefer…my skin was a little redder than I’d like.. but for the most part everything seemed basically ‘fine’. But when I got a chance to slow down for the summer, I began to reexamine my health and wellness. What I realized was that while I felt fine, I didn’t feel great.
I made some changes this summer in regards to my health and wellness and I must say I feel the best I’ve felt in a long time. Today I’ll share the shifts I made and what really is working for me in this season of life to feel my best.
Today on WithIn:
What I realized when I removed Instagram and made strict boundaries on screen time
Lowering the volume on wellness culture
Enjoying movement for the joy of it and not for a goal of changing my body
The power of prioritizing creativity
The changes I’ve noticed after two months of taking NAD
What has changed for me since I’ve been back in therapy
The superpower trifecta of sobriety, meditation and self-love
Curious about starting your own meditation practice? Here is how to get started.

This shift helped me to experience such deeper connections with my children, JP, my parents and myself.
Today I’ll share why I needed this pause and where I’m at with these changes now that I am back on the mic.
Today on WithIn:
How burnout snuck up and blindsided me during the spring
Effectively taking a break when you are a ‘doer’
What I learned when I allowed my hustler energy to take a back seat for the first time
How I’m integrating my learnings into my real life now that I am entering autumn

There is a frustrating lack of information out there to support women through the physical, mental and emotional changes of perimenopause and mid life. I’ve been experiencing a lot of transitions lately, and with those transitions I’ve been feeling a heightened sense of vulnerability around belonging. This feeling isn’t new for me. Today, I’ll share how my child’s journey with their identity led me to realize how my own views differed from the Catholic church’s teachings, and the moment it became clear that it was time to step away from the church. I’ll also share how my relationship with God has deepened since then, and how we now view faith as a family.
