On January 16th LCA first grader, Kinsley, received some upsetting news when she came home from school. Her mom, Leah, explained that her brother’s family in South Carolina lost their home in a house fire earlier that morning. Right away, Kinsley wanted to make a card to send to her cousin, Rosie. She then asked if she could tell her teacher, Mrs. Spicher, because she knew their class would pray for the family, too.  Kinsley didn’t stop there...

Together they have seven children, fifteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. How do they have any time on their hands! Thasia Anne graduated Edinboro University as a social worker in 2016, and retired during the Covid lock down, from Erie DAWN as a case manager. The agency helps single working women with or without children find safe affordable housing. However her work advocating for women and children in need will never stop.

Janelle and Lori were thrilled to welcome best-selling comediennce Chonda Pierce. A stand-up comedian, television hostess, author and now actress, Pierce has channeled her life experiences into positivity, bringing laughter to audiences around the country. As the RIAA’s best-selling female comedian, her hilarious take on life is easily relatable as she publicly opens up to her listeners about times of darkness and depression in her own life, drawing humor and good from every situation. In October 2015, Pierce took her humor to the big screen with her first film “Chonda Pierce: Laughing In The Dark,” based on her personal struggle to overcome depression. The film is a behind-the-scenes journal chronicling Pierce’s downward spiral dealing with the devastating loss of her mother, an estranged daughter and the tragedy of her husband’s battle with alcoholism and subsequent death, all over the course of three years. Kortney Miller has been a freelance artist all throughout her life, with 18+ years of creative experience. She always includes an element of creativity,  whether coordinating a battle of the bands, decorating cakes, or most recently, radio DJ and promotions coordinator. Throughout the years, she was always painting a multitude of items, ranging from custom painted shoes for musicians, Xboxes for gamers, fine art to increase the beauty of someone’s living room, t-shirt designs for events and murals for both personal homes, community events and local  businesses.  She launched Red Dirt Rosie in 2019, and often paints under that alias. Kortny's life motto is, “leave it brighter than you found it.'' Her ultimate goal is to encourage wonder and whimsy with art. She says she utilizes glee and occasional madness to capture and keep the sweet moments/emotions that are tucked into our lives preserved.
