She continues to devote her time to helping women achieve their full potential whilst emphasising the importance of developing a personal and close relationship with Allah.  In 2022, she was approached by the publisher Penguin to write and publish a book. Today, Aliyah is the Sunday Times Bestselling author of Penguin published, 'Ramadan Reflections' and The Power of Du'a. Aliyah recently became a TEDx speaker where she spoke about The power of your pain. In the community, she serves as the President and Co-Founder of Maristan.org, a holistic mental health nonprofit serving Muslim communities, and the Director of The Rahmah Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating Muslim women and girls. In addition, she is faculty of Islamic Psychology at Cambridge Muslim College and The Islamic Seminary of America. She is also a Senior Fellow for Yaqeen Institute and the Institute of Social Policy and Understanding. Prior to studying medicine, she pursued classical Islamic studies in Damascus, Syria, and holds certifications (ijaza) in the Qur’an, Islamic Law, and other branches of the Islamic Sciences. She holds a second bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies through Al-Azhar University. Maryam has studied in Egypt, memorized the Qur’an and has researched a variety of religious sciences, ranging from Quranic exegesis, Islamic jurisprudence, Prophetic narrations and commentary, women’s rights within Islamic law and more for the past 15 years. She’s host of the Quran Champions series on Islam Channel and has been interviewed for her work by major news outlets including BBC, NPR and CBS. Maryam’s focus in the fields of spiritual connections, identity actualization, social justice and women’s studies have humbled her the opportunity to lecture throughout the United States and the world, including in Jerusalem, Mecca, Medina, Stockholm, London, Toronto and more. She holds a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and speaks multiple languages. Episode 3 -Umm Salihah is a part time university lecturer/education researcher where she trains teachers to scale their impact in the classroom. Through her work, research and social enterprise she has been awarded research grants and awards as well as invitations to present her research at academic conferences. She offers training within mathematics education on a national and international scale.Umm Salihah is a student and teacher of the Qur'an , someone who is passionate about supporting sisters develop close relationships with the Qur'an. She worked with a few sisters to set up Qur'an Halaqah, a charity initiative facilitating organised retreats and events, a private Qur'an Development Programme and Qur'an coaches to support sisters on their Qur'an journeys.Umm Salihah has completed her Hifdh and is still on the journey, currently reading for Ijaazah and exploring Qira’at. She has additionally completed an Alimiyyah programme covering classical works and studied abroad in Egypt and Turkey within the areas of Uloom Al Qur’an, Tazkiyyah and Islamic Tarbiyyah.She's also mum to her 3 little ones. Episode 2 - Shaykha Saleha completed her Alimiyyah Studies and the Dawratul Hadith programme at Ebrahim College in the Summer of 2018 as a mature student. Additionally, she holds a Bsc (hons) in Computing.Ustadha studied under many prominent UK scholars including Sh. Akram Nadwi, Mufti Barkatullah, to name a few.She is a student of Qari Bashir Ahmed Siddique of Madinah Al Munawwara and has received Ijaaza in qira’a from him in the riwayas of Hafs & Shu’ba. Having completed the riwaya of Qalun, Warsh, ibn kathir and as in now on ibn amir. She has also studied the seven authentic qira'at under the guidance of Sh. Amjad Sheikh.Since graduation, she has been working with various Shariah councils and Muslim organisations, specialising in Islamic Law on marriage & divorce. Member of a Multi-Faith Chaplaincy team at Canary Wharf.And often appears as Judge for female contestants in the yearly qiraat competitions (National Hufadh Association). She is also the first female co-host of Islam iQA.Shaykha Saleha has been a teacher in Quran & Tajweed for over 10 years and is currently teaching Quran, Tajweed, Fiqh, Arabic, Islamic studies at Ebrahim College, Q-Iman and other online platforms.She is also a mother to two. Ustadha Sarah Salih has a background in Psychology & Mental health, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Queen Mary University of London and a Master of Science degree in Child & Adolescent Mental Health from University College London. She recently concluded her comprehensive 'Alimiyyah studies at the Qalam Seminary and spent time in Türkiye to benefit from the scholarship there. Currently, she is pursuing a L3 Diploma in Counselling skills and is the director of CONSCIOUS, a dynamic third space nestled within her local community.
