Planning a travel itinerary anywhere can be challenging. What do you do? What do you prioritize seeing? What can you skip? How can you experience the city like a local instead of just a tourist? While some cities are easier than others, Amsterdam proves to be a challenge — There’s so much to do and see, experiencing Amsterdam in just two days is tough, let alone putting together a great itinerary that will give you the local feel while hitting the best tourist spots is easier said than done.  This episode does exactly that- combines the local with the touristy! We dive into the best tourist spots to hit (think, museums!), local cafes, markets, museums, and parks that you likely haven’t heard of and hit the below topics (and more!) to give you the best 2-day itinerary possible: How to navigate the Rijks Museum Should you visit the Van Gogh Museum? Where to start in Amsterdam? What would a local do? Where to explore for a day trip outside the city?  How to not get swept up in only the “touristy” things? How to balance the touristy with the unique  What is the best way to see Amsterdam on a bike? Great parks to visit  Biking in Amsterdam There are two 2-day itineraries in this episode, so if you’ve been before (or even live there!) and hit the hot spots, there are sure to be great places and things to do you haven’t heard of before. Thank you in advance for listening! In Amsterdam, there’s more than meets the eye (outside of tulips!). There’s so much, it can be challenging to take it all in when planning a visit. In this episode, we’ve tried to put everything you need to know where to go, stay, explore, what cafes to visit, and more together in one place. We touch on what it's like to visit the Red Light District and how to respectfully visit. The best neighborhoods for a fun vibe, what not to do in Amsterdam, and where to go for a fun night out! Amsterdam Part 1 serves as your overview, everything you need to know before you go and what you need to know to start preparing for your trip. Part 2 (coming soon!) will be focused on two perspectives on the best 2 day itinerary that takes everything we’ve put into this episode and narrows it down into two days (which was tough)! Look out for part 2, thank you for listening, and we hope you enjoy the Amsterdam part 1 episode! Home to the best beach in the world a few years back, Jervis Bay is in a constant state of showing off. From it's white sand beaches, adventurous bushwalks, or dolphin sitings, Jervis Bay has everything you could want out of a coastal town. Perfect for camping, which we highly recommend, it's situated just south of Sydney 2.5-3 hours. After the drive, you're rewarded with beach swims, bush walks, and your choice of dining in or eating out(side)! In this episode we cover everything from the nearby wineries, our favorite camping spots, and best beaches. We love how relaxed Jervis Bay is, all the options for adventure, or a relaxing weekend.
