This series starts with Jesus’ important prophetic teaching and prediction about the future starting with forthcoming judgement on Israel for rejecting him as Messiah. There are also longer-term predictions about the challenges and opportunities for his followers throughout the era of the church. Jesus then predicts his ‘Second Coming’. The series ends with a description of the ‘Last Supper’ that Jesus shared with his disciples the evening before his death.

Jesus prays for himself, for the disciples that are with him and then for all those who believe through those disciples.
Jesus uses the metaphor of childbirth to describe the pain and joy the disciples are going to experience. He seeks to reassure them ahead of the events of his death, resurrection and ascension.
As well as being an advocate, the Holy Spirit will testify to Jesus and work in unbelievers to change their lives.
Jesus uses an easily understood metaphor to describe the relationship between his disciples and himself. He warns of opposition, too.
At this difficult time, Jesus promises to ask the Father to send the person of the Holy Spirit to be an advocate, teacher and guide. He will help them remember the events of Jesus life to pass on to the Church.
During the Last Supper, Jesus teaches his disciples, preparing them for the immediate future but also eternity.
During the Last Supper, Jesus predicts that one of his disciples would betray him. Judas leaves the meal. Jesus teaches about servant leadership and gives guidance about their future ministry.
Jesus takes the Passover meal and invests new meaning in the wine and the bread. The wine symbolises his blood and the bread his body.
Jesus demonstrates the need for servant leadership in the community he is establishing - the Church. He predicts his betrayal by someone close to him - much like what happened to King David.
This first episode about the Last Supper looks at the context of the Passover feast and the preparations made for Jesus to share it with his disciples.
The final parable about discipleship and the Second Coming draws attention to the awareness of the needs of fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and addressing those needs.
The second in a series of parables Jesus used to teach about the Second Coming. His servants/disciples need to be faithful and use what they have been given for the Kingdom of God.
Jesus told this parable which would have been easily understood, to teach about readiness for the Second Coming.
Jesus gives more detail about what his Second Coming will entail - but not the timing. He uses a parable to encourage disciples to be ready for his return at all times.
Jesus continues to answer the disciples' questions and predicts what will happen at the end of time when he will come again in power and glory.
In answer to the first of the disciples' questions, Jesus predicts the future destruction of Israel including the Temple. He warns his disciples to flee when they see the signs.
The disciples ask three questions but Jesus begins by giving them background predictions about the future age of the Church.
During the Passover preparations Jesus is anointed by Mary in Bethany. In showing her devotion she prepares Jesus' body for burial. Judas' reaction is to leave the meal to consort with the Jewish leaders.
