I hear you about anxiety being a necessary feeling. However, extreme anxiety to the point of paranoia is too much and people like myself need medication to manage it or life becomes unbearable. Also, for people with extreme anxiety like myself, marijuana makes me extremely paranoid and 20x more anxious. Just a little tidbit for you to consider. Psychology is not black and white.
